(Translated by Google) Small museum that allows us to discover the life of Louis Braille as well as a universe that we do not imagine (from the creation of braille writing to all the associated machines and tools). All this shared by a Mr available and ready to answer all our questions.

If you have half a day free in Paris, by all means go to this wonderful museum and escape the mad crowds of central Paris. We were made to feel so welcome by Faridah. We arrived during lunch time when the museum was closed. We contacted Faridah and knowing we were waiting, she arrived earlier to make our wait shorter. It's not enough to just walk around the birthhouse. You must go inside and for that you simply must do the tour. We learnt so many new things about Louis Braille and his life! And Faridah patiently answered all our questions. :-) An exciting part for the children and the adults alike was learning to write our names in Braille using special punch boards. We also loved the lovely spring garden. We will always have very fond memories of the day. Thank you, Faridah!

Louis Braille's house. It was closed today but it's worth going there.

The tour was great. You learn a lot of interesting things about the developer of Braille. It is possible to try it out yourself (the German ABC is also available). You can test your sense of smell in the adjacent garden

Small museum to discover, the person in charge showed us around and managed the feat of interesting preteens. At the end, each child wrote their first name in Braille. Nice time, allow 1 hour for the visit.

Informative and interactive guided visit. Recommended (though the presentation is in French so have a translator if you need one)

A few minutes from Disneyland Paris, in a small, quiet village, seemingly far from any hustle and bustle, there is a museum which is worth the visit and which I highly recommend. The Louis Braille Museum, located in his birthplace. The guided tour is made fascinating by passing through the family home, the father's workshop and thirdly in the room where you will see the developments in reading and writing for the blind and through it, the genius of Louis Braille (man enters the Pantheon). Thanks to the guide and the director for their passionate commitment

Super-interesting visit! The guide is super welcoming and his passion is contagious. It reveals lots of details about daily life in the 19th century, introducing us to the world and the genius of Braille. You absolutely must leave a message on the answering machine to reserve the visit slot.

(Translated by Google) Visited the birthplace and now the Louis Braille museum in Copvray. Received a private one-hour tour in 'Allo Allo' English with a mask on. 😅 Outside a really beautiful garden with accompanying walk. And finally, in the vicinity, a cemetery where the tomb with Braille is said to be. I didn't find him. His hands, by the way, are in the #pantheon in Paris. #Coupvray #louisbraille

(Translated by Google) A wonderful place, a small museum, which tells about the family, the life of Louis Braille, how misfortune happened to him, after which he went blind! Thanks to the guide, led a group of French, but always gave us a separate comment in English. Although we got into the group by chance, the excursion begins every two hours and as we understood it is necessary to record it. There was one worker in the whole museum and it closes the back doors of the room, so you don’t see the museum yourself.
