I connected with Flora online and knew I wanted her to be our tour guide for me, my daughter, and my 10 year old twin granddaughters. The timing did not work out for us but she connected me with her colleague Ben. We LOVED Ben and were so grateful for him to have been the one (other than Flora) to be our guide. He connected with my family as if we were the only ones in the world he had to devote time to, (and there were 4 other people on our tour.) He presented a LOT of history in a very understandable fashion for the girls, and was always aware that anything he said needed to be absorbed by young people. A very lovely way to discover Paris ! Good understanding of the French history and the Jewish Heritage. Flora is born and raised in this jewish quarter. She has a great way to make the visitor fall deeper in love with Paris, its streets, the urban architecture and of course, the food !! If I could give 6 out of 5 stars, I would. First, Flora Goldenberg was very easy to work with setting up the tour over email. She was not able to give me the tour herself, and I could not join a group, since there were no other people taking the tour in my available time slots. But instead I got a special treat. Flora’s mom “Leo,” who is a licensed tour guide herself in both Israel and France and who actually developed the Jewish tour originally, was just visiting from Israel. I was offered a 2-hour private tour at a very reasonable price. It was worth every single dollar. We covered the history of the Jewish presence in Paris, the changing attitudes of the church and the authorities, the Shoah, and so much more. We peeked into courtyards (Leo did not limit herself to the Jewish presence in the Marais; she told me about the history of the Marais as well), we stopped at Kocarz (a Jewish bakery), a hidden synagogue (meant for Jewish travelers at times when the presence of Jews was forbidden), and above all I simply learnt a lot. Leo speaks French, English and Dutch.

Flora's walking tour is very informative and enjoyable. It is a small group, and Flora explains the history and context extremely well. We saw a lot and went at a comfortable pace. Highly recommended.

This was a highly informative and educational tour of La Marais, the Jewish quarter. Alix brought some personal aspects to the tour, since her great grandmother was taken while she was pregnant, but survived, thus allowing Alix to be born. We went to the Memorial to the Martyrs of the Deported, which is a very foreboding experience, particularly as you enter and go from the light into the dark. The Shoah Memorial is also moving, especially the walls of names of people who were taken, grouped by year. Inside, there is the children’s memorial, which has thousands of photos of children who were taken, some less than a year old. We were shown a hidden synagogue, which for some reason was not located by the Nazis, allowing Parisian Jews to worship. There are many other interesting sites and stories. We ended at a very popular area of eating establishments during lunchtime. We had a delicious meal. We highly recommend this tour.

Flora is extremely knowledgeable about Jewish Paris and Paris in general and helped us plan our entire trip. She had some nice surprises for the kids. She was so flexible and easy to reach in advance. I highly recommend Flora!

I contacted Flora Goldenberg for information on a Jewish Tour of the Louvre (which I found out is something new) and also a Jewish Tour of le Marais. Because of the last minute planning of our trip she was unable to give the tours herself but highly recommended 2 of her colleagues. Both were fabulous and so very very knowledgeable. Melanie (a great art historian) was bright, lovely and definitely knew so much of the Jewish Art at the Louvre. I am sorry we didn't book her for longer! Chantal guided us thru le Marais and was a wealth of information. In addition to being so knowledgeable she was also very lovely and a pleasure to be with. She even got us into the best falafel restaurant with very little wait time! In addition, Flora was always available to respond to my many questions and was a wealth of information regarding the best kosher restaurants, hotel info and the best limo driver!! Thank you Flora!

I booked a scavenger hunt for kids (ages 7,8 and 10) with Flora Goldenberg and it was amazing. Despite Le Louvre being on strike the day our tour was scheduled, Flora bent over backwards to make sure that we got it on the day we booked. Another of her colleagues ended up giving the tour. She had a six-year-old daughter and was really amazing in terms of her knowledge, enthusiasm and ability to talk to kids. Flora communicated thoroughly throughout the booking process and met us exactly where we were told to be. The prizes for the kids at the end of the tour were copious and fun. Just a great experience overall. I highly recommend her.

This is just a quick note of appreciation for the arrangements Flora set up for my family’s visit to Paris over the holidays. I can not say enough good words for Flora. She was not available during the period of our visit but arranged with associate tour guides Livia and Caroline. She arranged transportation for our family with Serge. Everything worked like clockwork. Our trip was a total success. Livia gave a wonderful and personal tour of the Marais district - filled with lots of information about Jewish-France relationships. Serge’s limo services were terrific as well - we were picked up reliably even though our plane was a bit late. Serge was eager to help make sure arrangements were as they should be, flexible to our request to leave earlier than needed, even though rather early in the morning, for our return flight. He was also generous by sending us a list of his favorite restaurants, including one that served kosher food. When we return to Paris someday, we would surely engage him again. Another new friend in Paris. We really appreciate how easy Flora’s company made it for us. We certainly recommend you to our friends who may be considering Paris trips.

Livia was an outstanding guide. We took a Jewish tour of the Paris Marais and the information she provided was extremely thorough and we felt that we learned more in 2 hours than the previous 6 trips we have taken to Paris over the past 5 years.

We were hoping to have a tour with Flora herself, but being so close to her due date, we ended up having the tour with Livia as our guide. It was a tour for my wife, daughter, and myself, and it was geared to our daughter, in order to keep her engaged. Livia's knowledge of all things Jewish in Paris (and just Paris in general) was astounding. We walked around the Marais portion of Paris, visited a bakery (the rugalach and creme-filled sufganiyot were amazing), and visited the Chabad shul where the Rebbe studied when he was a student at the Sorbonne. This tour was definitely one of the best things we did in Paris. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Had a wonderful 3 hour tour of Le Marais, with tour guide Livia. A must-do when in Paris !! My 79 year old mum didn't find the walk too strenuous either. Easy to organise via email. Wonderful guide, fantastic knowledge! Next time I will definitely be booking another tour.

Our family absolutely loved this walking tour and we've subsequently recommended it highly to all of our family and friends back home in Australia. We gained so many insights into the rich history of Paris' Jewish community and the significant and changing role that community has played in the city's evolving and complex social and political environments. The tour was perfectly paced and Flora's engaging style and first hand knowledge of the subject matter, the diverse streetlife and local architecture, as well as the amazing range of wonderful local cafes, bakeries and restaurants was amazing.
