Said that even though the room was clean, they would charge extra for an early checkin, which none of nearby hotels do. The parking is very inconveniently located compared to the elevators and rooms, and the luggage carts are heavy and unwieldy.

Would have given more stars!!! But to have a pool and hot tub down for almost 2 years. Is unacceptable!!! Our stay would have been much nicer. Had we had the opportunity to swim and soak in the hot tub!!! What's the problem??? 2 years really??? We will definitely look elsewhere for lodging in that area in the future. Sad because it was a nice place.

First impression of my visit this past weekend (6/10/22) was that this place was going to be great. The lobby was impressive and well maintained and check-in was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately this trend did not continue. Once we reached the ninth floor the halls were overly warm a thermostat on the wall near the elevator stated it was 77 degrees and it remained that way our entire stay. My group and I were treated to various unpleasant smells over the course of our weekend stay in the same hallway. Again our first impressions of the room were great but that faded as the weekend drew on. A moderate sized stain on the carpet we discovered when we moved a chair to play board games, small spots of peeling wallpaper, messy grout in the bathroom shower, incredibly dirty AC/heater vent, and mini fridge but no microwave were amongst the biggest annoyances for a room of the price range. Breakfast was the biggest surprise, there was a buffet with a pretty standard spread of items like scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, cereal, and a fruit bar. We were waved over to a table and then went to get our food, some of the items that should have been cold were room temp like the cottage cheese. Imagine our surprise when the man who waved us to the table brought us checks as it was not posted anywhere or ever told to us that this was not complimentary like it is a "lower" caliber hotels. After tax something like $21 per person for this buffet. One of our group only had a small bowl of cereal and a glass of water. Overall very disappointed.

The accommodations were not worth the price I paid.  The room was what I would expect from a random motel at a remote highway exit. In spite of having a sticker proclaiming that the room had been sanitized, there was a greasy substance on the bathroom fan and light switches which required alcohol to remove. There was no place to hang up towels, washcloths, or bath mat after they were used.  This was very inconvenient, and even after a short stay could cause mildew. They should change the name of the place to Motel 5.5, because its quality didn't quite make it to 6. This would have lowered my expectations to the right level. Charge a mediocre price for a mediocre hotel. At least the staff were nice

This hotel is conveniently located near the airport and has a shuttle. It is also within walking distance of several great restaurants and entertainment options. There are 2 restaurants on-site and room service. Make sure to get a cookie when you check in! The rooms are nice, but mine needed a little maintenance. The base of the bed was scuffed, likely due to vacuuming. The shower also had a chipped tile, and the door seal needed to be replaced. Otherwise, the room was nice and had everything needed. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. I had breakfast in the BC Bistro daily. The breakfast bar had a lot of options, including fresh fruit, an omelet station, eggs, sausage, bacon, breakfast potatoes, and cereal. The meeting rooms are on the second floor. They were very nice, had comfortable chairs, and we were able to get lunch set up right outside our room.

Bad: 1) Biggest issue; AC would not truly cool the room even on lowest setting. Room felt sticky all weekend. 2) Bedding looked dingy and like it should have been replaced. 3) Bistro/Lounge has a very limited menu. 4) No trash bags in room trash cans is just lazy. 5) Towels were coarse and did not feel like quality. Good: 1) Gym had decent equipment. 2) Bistro/Lounge food was good. 3) Bathroom looked upgraded, good water pressure. 4) Desk/chair were decent. 5) TV - older model Samsung, but decent. Overall: I would book somewhere else. Probably never coming back here.

First of all, hotel is awesome! clean room, quite and front desk service are great……. Now, bell staff and restaurant wait staff….maybe I am Asian? 1. Bell staff: I told him, I arrived early so I need to store my bag while I am attending expo, he wasn’t happy about it but still took my bag but when I ask him second bag he opened the storage room door and said” you put it inside!” Wow okay….no tips for you. 2. Breakfast: the waitress could ask me if I have the voucher for the meal but no.. they were keep looking at me and every time they come by “do you have a voucher?” Ask this question 3 times during my meal, at first I was going hand it to her but said no and at third time I just gave to her. Maybe they thought I was free loaders. I am about checking out today. And As Hilton honor member, I do not wish to stay here again, with this kind of discrimination, I do not deserve

Only ended up here cuz a flight was canceled but it was actually a very nice place for a one night stay. Room was large and clean. Very close to airport and the hotel restaurant was pretty good with a friendly server.

  • 1/5 C L. 9 months ago on Google
Racist front desk staff was only hospitable when seeing Hilton Honors status. When trying to checkin the staff member was harsh in shutting me down for an early checkin but was eager to let the group behind me check in instead. When returning to check in again, they were rude and were not at all friendly. Their tone suddenly changed when the Hilton Honors status came up and I was appalled at the sudden shift in the mood. Really disappointed in this type of behavior and attitude. The room itself was very clean, modern, well equipped and had a great location near the airport and outlet.

I stay here frequently for work. The staff here can’t be beat - they’re friendly, helpful and efficient. Rooms are clean, comfortable. Shuttles offer an easy and quick ride to/from the airport. If I have one gripe - and this goes for all hotels, not just this one - please ask housekeeping to wipe down the bathroom walls and door!!

We had a yoga room and it was very cute. There was an odd dent in the wall but the room was clean and well stocked with everything we'd needed. The location was great, my only complaint is the parking; It was confusing to get into the parking garage and we had to pay. Service was also great however I did have to ask for my own cookie, though it's shown everywhere that you get one upon check in.

We had a HORRIBLE experience. First when we arrived they gave us room 909, we entered room and there was wet dirty towels on floor, beds a mess and trash still in there. We called down to desk and they said please come back to desk and we will give u another room. So then we get room 903. We enter and room looked clean and it is a nice room and roomy. We open refrigerator and there is rotten food in it and smelled horrible(it stank our room up), but we kept room just didn’t open refrigerator. While checking in we told receptionist we needed to catch there transport at 3 am and she proceeded to say they only run from 3:30am to 1:30am, that she would have to call a taxi for us and it would be $20 for the taxi. We said ok and she reassured us she would order the taxi. So we go down that morning and the new receptionist tells us she never ordered a taxi and he would call one right away. While we were waiting on the taxi the transport shuttle shows up and states they run 24/7 and the receptionist should’ve known that. So not only were we behind getting to airport we had to pay $20 for nothing because they did have the shuttle running. The rooms were nice but the service was horrible

Great hotel with great food. Hotel shuttle service to and from airport was good. Pillows were great for hotel pillows. Clean rooms. Only con was they only serviced the room one morning out of 3 and didn't restock the in room coffee/towels etc. They also didn't have any room upgrades which is a benefit that Hilton Diamond members receive.

Very nice hotel, clean rooms and conveniently located. The bathrooms were very nice and the bed was pretty comfortable, a little on the firm side. They do need to update their hours for Gibson’s, part of the reason I chose this hotel was I was flying in to O’hare later in the evening and I wanted to be able to grab dinner around 11pm. The hours on the website said it was open til midnight but when we showed up, the kitchen was closed and they said those were pre-COVID hours. That was pretty inconvenient because we hadn’t had anything for dinner at the airport because we were expecting to eat at the hotel. Another concern I had was the 30 mins wait for the shuttle at the airport. I would expect shuttles to be running more frequently since a big appeal of this location is the proximity to the airport.

I really enjoyed my stay here my room was right off the elevator for which I am grateful, I hate walking down a long corridor. I loved the clean aroma of the room, The bed was comfortable, and the couch was a nice alternative for sitting. The refrigerator is okay but no freezer compartment . I adored the shower nice pressure and the towels were very fluffy. The restaurant downstairs was some of the best food I have ever had. All staff was exceptional and very friendly. Thank you

Hilton Diamond Member. The upsides: Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Amazing location. Two great adjacent restaurants. The downsides: This building is aging and in need of more work than it has received. My room looked and sounded like it was going to crumble off the top of this building. Huge cracks ran the entire ceiling of my top floor room. Although there was no noise from the nearby airport, their was a ton of noise coming from the roof and the surrounding walls. It was not windy outside, it was not raining outside, just a noisy, crusty, old room.

My room had a view of the parking garage, but other than that it was ok. The restaurants in the hotel were great and there is a small coffee shop that serves some Starbucks drinks, that were just ok. I ended up walking to the Starbucks down the road for my regular coffee. The steakhouse in the hotel was SO good. Definitely the best part of my work trip. It is about an hour (with traffic) from downtown Chicago, but close to the airport.

Nice and clean hotel. Comfortable beds. Large bathrooms. Parking is $15 overnight. But if you wanna leave you will have to pay another$15 for parking. That is the only downfall.

Booked a king room. Got double full size beds that barely fit both of us. Both beds didn't use a fitted sheets, which is fine if the flat sheets actually covered the mattress. Both were not completely covering the mattress at the foot of the bed. Airport shuttle arrived and left late. Appeared to just be sitting on the side of the hotel across the street until 5am where it pulled up to pick up people there before coming over to the Doubletree. If it cannot leave on the hour as stated, the time should be adjusted. Shuttle driver left the door shut until loading all bags making us wait, before letting everyone on (although there were guests from the other hotel already on the shuttle)! Why would it matter if people are already on? I've seen this before at this hotel during the winter thinking it I'd appropriate to have guests wait in freezing weather to board.

Perfect location across from the convention center. Very helpful with checking in and answering questions! Access to a gym and connection to the parking structure. Two restuants attached, one with the option of take out pizza and pop for a great deal. A variety of other restaurants, a movie theater, and a fashion mall all within walking distance. Held our bags after check out so we could enjoy some sites before taking the shuttle to the airport.

Honestly not a great experience. The air conditioning didn’t work very well. The room was hot and muggy. The walls in the room seemed like they were made of paper. We could hear our neighbors full conversations and they weren’t even being loud. There was garbage in the room from the previous person and even in the bed. The location was good that’s about all this hotel had going for it.

Nice lobby & hotel restaurant, also connected to Gibsons. Parking bit of a mess, confusing where to park, still not sure what's up with that & dirty, depressing walk from parking garage to inside of hotel (please refresh/clean up that bridge from garage to hotel as soon as it's possible, terrible impression of property). Room was nice & clean, but never take room 214, saddest view ever. Safe hard to use as on floor of dark closet. Staff nice from front desk to housekeeping. Here for meeting on property. Meeting room was comfortable, and banquet meals were very satisfactory too.

Angie from Chicago, Illinois is the perfect example of a bad employee. She goes out of her way to avoid working, making up new policies that the team around her quickly verify aren’t real. She has a bad attitude and is totally unapproachable. She was rude to both myself, my partner, and a stranger I could overhear while in the lobby. She put a damper on an otherwise very pleasant hotel experience.

Love it here. Quiet, clean and cozy luxury. Not over the top luxury but Def not basic. Food is good, always have been treated very friendly. Really can relax here. So nice. Close to everything and anything you feel like doing. Shop, eat, drink, convention center and airport so close. Very lively but hotel rooms are so quiet. It's great!

This is a very old hotel, and it's pretty evident. The staff was great and friendly. My particular room was hot and kind of smelly. I mentioned it to the front desk and they said they would check it, but nothing changed. The air conditioner kept running and never cooled off. If I stayed again, I would request a different room with working a/c. The gym was pretty good but lacked a cable machine. The hotel restaurant was good, if a little expensive though.

  • 1/5 Melodye B. 8 months ago on Google
Entire hotel looked outdated and dirty. Could not get into hotel from parking garage as my digital key did not work there. No signs in garage telling you where the entrance or exit was. There was a wet stain in the carpet of the room. Got in room and it was 76 degrees in the room. Was never told about my food and beverage credit. Asked how I could get coffee in the morning and was told that I could make coffee in the room. As a Hilton diamond member I have never stayed at a Hilton property where I was worried about the cleanliness of the bed I was in, I did at this location. Checked out early because I would rather pay for the flight change than stay another night at this hotel.

Nice check-in experience and were given our preference of room location. Very nice rooms and a downstairs bistro. This is the perfect location for any travel involving O'Hare. We had an extra day to kill before flying out and were happy to realize many restaurants and a movie theater were within walking distance.

I think I stayed here for 4 times already. This hotel is not perfect- but the people who work there makes it perfect. From the small things such as their smile in the morning to the big things- when something doesn't work they'll do their best to handle it and to change your experience. Besides that- the room is big and clean. Breakfast is a classic American Hilton breakfast. Gym is clean but the treadmill needs some maintenance I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

  • 2/5 Coke L. 2 years ago on Google
I arrived at 9:30 - no food available. No hot water. Room key needed to be re-keyed 3 times in 12 hours. Rooms were clean. Staff was nice.

  • 1/5 C P. 6 months ago on Google
Bad experience. Should never stay here anymore. 1. Shuttle bus only picks up from domestic terminal, No international pick up, which obviously a few other hotels can provide. So you have to grab your large and cumbersome luggages on the train, walk long distance and climb upstairs and downstairs to make it to the pickup point. 2 Furnishings are really old. Especially shower experience sucks. The shower water flow is so small that it is almost like dripping. Takes long time to finish shower.

How this abomination flies under Hilton’s quality control radar speaks to involvement of the Russian mafia that likely owns this place. A very polished facade hiding awful accommodation and if you dare, a meal that could kill you (not Gibson’s, that’s great tho extra-orbitally overpriced). The hotel doesn’t honor any aspect of my Diamond status that I pay dearly for and they seem to rely on the fact that they are an airport amenity and so don’t care who they alienate. Sad. They only very barely get a second star for being staffed by some decent friendly Chicagoans.

  • 5/5 Barbara G. 2 years ago on Google
Great service by all staff members assisting with a group meeting and group dinner. Due to limited meetings during COVID they even provided an extra room nearby for our lunches so we didn't have to eat in the same room we were working in. That was a very nice surprise.

Beautiful entrance way. Amazing and so accommodating staff. Room was big and spacious. We love it’s attached to Gibsons which is one of our favorite places. Also amazing job on ADA assistance from our room to parking!

  • 4/5 Marc L. 2 years ago on Google
This was a nice location and the quality of the property/rooms was great. Everyone, and I do mean everyone I interacted with over 2 days, was VERY cheery and helpful. That's the good. For the not-good (not bad, just not "good" so I deduct a star) It's a little thing but free coffee in the lobby would go a long way. Yes they have makers in the room but those are more trouble, and too small, to be worth using. This location is near a mall, and we arrived ON Black Friday, so traffic was understandably busy but it feels like that area can be difficult to navigate in any rush hour scenario. It IS mentioned in the notes, but not clearly, that parking is an extra $30/day to be aware of that. One day I forgot to have my ticket validated and had to pay (we had checked out and didn't want to schlep back in as it was cold) so I paid the machine and it was only $15 so I'm not sure what's going on with that. I probably would not stay here again, not for the lack of quality or problems with staff, but because there are less-busy locations that don't charge for parking, that offer as-good amenities, and a free breakfast or at least a cup of coffee.

  • 3/5 Susan C. 1 year ago on Google
Booked based on other reviews. The room I book was said to be a king bed with a sofa, a refrigerator, and microwave, along with dinnerware and utensils. The room we got was an accessible room with two double beds and a refrigerator. No microwave, which was something we were counting on, no utensils, no sofa, and a huge roll in bathroom. The bathroom was so large in fact, that it echoed every time we ran the water. Another few things - parking is said to have in and out privileges but it does not - and there us a large gap under the entry door which makes for a noisy stay. For the price we paid, we expected complimentary breakfast, but when my husband went downstairs to get food, he was told it was $21 per person, which is ridiculous for the basic food offering. Nothing impressive about this hotel. In fact, kind of disappointing.

Had multiple problems with the booking/registering and stay at this hotel. We decided to leave early and we had a massive problem leaving too. When trying to express my concerns to the apparent MOD, I was pretty much told it was MY fault that their staff misguided me. Also, the pool that is pictured here does not exist anymore apparently, so no pool. However, the room was nice and spacious and was very accommodating for my group and was a decent location for the convention center. I would probably not stay here again unless I had no other choice.

I was here on a very short stay. My stay started a bit strange. The shuttle from the airport had me waiting about 1 hour and 10 mins. Each time I called they would tell me 5 or 10 mins. I wish they had been honest because then I would have just found a Lyft/Uber to get me to the hotel. When I arrived the checkin was smooth but when I mentioned the shuttle situation to Daliha it seemed to fall on deaf ears. She didn't care at all and seemed to act as though I was being Impatient or entitled. The lounge staff however was friendly especially My server Enrique. Unfortunately I decided to order Uber Eats because I didn’t care for the selection or price point. My Margaritas were perfect 🥰! The rooms were OK the hallways give that "The Shining" vibe. In side the room like that there is a shower and tub. Water was so hot and the pressure was excellent that was a plus. A negative was all the hair that the housekeeper left for me in the shower, yuck 🤮 . Again the beds was really the best part of this location. Very comfortable! Upon my checkout I appreciate the front desk person Kelly actually listening to my experience with the shuttle. I felt like he cared and was going to actually act to work on fixing the broken process. He was very understanding and offered breakfast as an apology. I sincerely appreciated his generosity but I was on my way out the door to the airport so I couldn't take him up on his offer but I did appreciate it. Honestly I wasn't looking for compensation I just wanted to mention a problem that they might be able to fix.

Sadly this probably ranked as one of the worst stays in a hotel I've ever had. The beds were not queen size, more like a full twin, and trying to share that size with another full grown adult is terriblely uncomfortable. We had to plunge our own toilet at 11:30 at night because there's no overnight maintenance and the plunger was still covered in.. stuff from a previous use. This would have been a non-issue if the person they claimed to have sent up actually fixed it when we asked about it that morning. Since we were out of the room all day, we didn't know it wasn't fixed until we went to go to bed. The walls were paper thin. We practically watched TV with the person next door with how we could hear everything. Parking was ridiculous, having to pay $15 every time we left and came back. And to top it off, the phone couldn't reach the front desk. It acted like the number preset on the phone was outdated. The only good thing was the staff was friendly. Very easy and pleasant to interact with.

Stayed here this past weekend for a convention. Hotel was modern, clean, and provided spacious rooms. The main restaurant provided excellent service and friendly staff. The food was reasonably priced and tasted great! Looking forward to returning again soon.

This was a great stay. Could only stay one night so, I couldn't experience everything but the service was great. The room was comfy and the shower was very big and amazing. You could fit 3 people in there at the same time comfortablly to be honest. We had the King room with the extra pullout couch. Will definitely be back again one day.

This hotel is a 7-minute ride from the airport. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and an outlet mall. There is also a restaurant in the lobby. The staff was kind and got me checked in quickly. The room was large and clean. The bed was very comfortable as were the linens. The bathroom was clean and had a large separate shower and tub. Other Amenities: -Free WiFi (Hilton Honors) -No pool - But one available at the hotel across the street (Embassy Suites) -Fitness room -Mini fridge -Microwave (by the ice machine) -Airport Shuttle - runs every half hour

Weird check-in process: I was already checked on line and expected a quick "hello, here is your room key". Instead, I had to produce ID, credit card and reservation number. My Diamond status was not recognized. Lady at the reception did not have an ID label herself. No mineral water in the room. No shower gel. Table lamp possible to be switched of completely only through the central switch - but no battery charging then. Good airport shuttle service. Good BC Bistro and Lounge at the ground floor.

Great place to stay. Rooms were ample and nicely furnished, I like coffee pots that do not use pods. My room had a tub, unfortunately didn't had a chance to enjoy it. Location is unbeatable, walking distance to the outlets and very convenient shuttle service to the airport. Even taking the CTA train is just a 10 minutes walk away. Front desk helped out group a lot, we had special requests and they worked hard to help us. Great place to stay, the welcome cookie is a nice touch

Breakfast is a big deal for me and this is one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had. I would have booked another night had I known. Plenty of parking in the garage with a bridge connecting to the hotel. With the proximity to the airport I was concerned for the potential noise, but despite being able to watch the planes take off and land I didn't hear a thing on the 7th floor. Very quiet hotel. Plus, I didn't have to wait for an elevator. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

My stay was great The only thing that was missing in the room was a microwave. But other than that the whole experience was very nice. I checked in with Sadie, she was great & helpful. Guided me for a best parking deal, that fits me being in & out all day long. Checked out with Anne, was such a wonderful person.

It’s a nice hotel, but definitely not worth the normal price they charge. Especially when the fire alarm goes off multiple times for half the night for false alarms, waking us up in the process. Also the end rooms are very cold in winter, but they were nice enough to move us to a middle room and it was much better. Breakfast isn’t free and neither is parking. Major cons for a (normally) $300/night hotel. Thank God I didn't pay that much, or I would be really unhappy considering all the hassle we went through. Also not having a microwave in the room was a major downside. They charge $300 a night, but they're too cheap to have anything other than a community microwave in an area that says vending, but has no vending. Customer service was outstanding though. They tried hard, but it will never be worth what they charge you just to stay in a hotel that's affiliated with the Hilton name. Especially with the night we had there. I can get a hotel at home with a jacuzzi inside for less than half of what this place normally charges. Also the room setup is not smart, with the TV on the side at the foot of the bed. Just flip the setup and you'll be fine there. Overall, I'd give it 3 stars, but only for the front desk employees. They were worth a whole star by themselves, otherwise it's 2 stars for me. We will not be returning.

It was really a nice hotel. Have stayed in worse and have stayed in better, but this was on the upper side, clean and decent. People at the counter were very friendly and the price wasn't terrible. We had a corner room so the view was kinda neat, our ceiling did have a big crack in it, kind of sounded loke the wind was whistling past the windows all night, but the worst was the refrigerator had a high pitch whine all night that made it very hard to sleep. Bed was very nice and the shower was nice as well. Would definitely stay again.

These people are saints! After missing our flight and having to get a voucher for the night. They were very kind!! Even with the voucher we were treated well. Breakfast is not free, but again we had a voucher. We were able to leave our bags in the hotel as we wasted time in the area since our flight home wasn't til 8pm. Shuttle to the airport was awesome! I asked to purchase some water and they just gave me some bottled water.

Final update: Zero complaints. Very accommodating, great service, smooth process and knowledgeable staff. Day 2 of 5: New crew, still impressed. I’m the liaison for a group coming in tonight…the staff accommodated every request. Very organized. Usually, I have to “stay on top of the staff” with most hotels, but not this one…they are on it! Really pleased. Day 1 of 5: I’m impressed. Not just by the hotel but mostly by the staff. Very busy, but very polite and helpful and seemingly knowledgeable. Room is awesome. AC works. Hotel/Room is clean. I came in and out throughout the evening and the staff remembered my name…that’s a great touch.

This wasn't our stay of choice, but the tour we were booked on used this as it's departure location. The rooms were quiet but the rugs were severely stained, the A/C wasn't big enough for the room, so to even get the room to a comfortable temperature, it had to be set to 60 degrees, and after a couple hours, we had a room that was about 70-72 degrees. There were not any bugs in the room, so that was a plus. The ceiling had a crack from the window all the way across to the inner wall. The restaurant breakfast was way over priced for the selection of food available, but the scrambled eggs were the best I have ever had.
