Very cute little place to go to for a nice meal. Had a taste of the pad thai but it wasn't like other pad thai I've had. This one was a bit stickier and more nutty than the rest.

Found this amazing place courtesy of Open Table. Every dish was fresh full of flavor and absolutely delish! Do not miss enjoying this gem in Skokie if you like Thai. You just might have to wait longer than you would usually expect but worth the wait.

Finding Khao Soi on the menu was a huge surprise for me and I knew I must try it. It's a Northern Thailand specialty that is quite uncommon in Thai restaurants in the US. I ramped up the spice level to 4, which added plenty of kicks. Overall, I was very pleased with the consistency and taste of the yellow curry along with soft and crispy noodles, although I do wished they used egg noodles instead of ramen noodles. There are also plenty of authentic dishes on the menu that I would love to try next time.

Never ordering from Tub Tim Thai Restaurant Skokie again. At first, I was really upset about how small their portions have gotten, but after tasting the food I was OK with that. The chicken was dry, the pork was mostly sauce, and the crab fried rice had almost no trace of crab, other than a bad fishy smell. The $3 sticky rice was the size of an ice cream scoop. We got half as much food as the last time we ordered, and there are leftovers (nobody liked it). I have honestly had better Thai food at a Chinese restaurant.

First time at this Thai restaurant in Skokie, it’s nice because there is free 2 hour street parking along Oakton. I thought there was a great selection of authentic Thai dishes on the menu plus some dishes I had never seen before. Abby our server was really pleasant and prompt. The entrees took a bit long to come out but I felt everything was made fresh to order and it all came out steaming hot. Appetizers of summer rolls and crab Rangoon were excellent. I also recommend trying the Thai BBQ Charbroiled chicken which came with sticky rice, the chicken was so tender and such a great taste! I will definitely come back to try more dishes. This is a little gem in Skokie

I absolutely love this Restaurant. Everything is so fresh. Meong Kum is my favorite appetizer & they are the only Thai restaurant that offers this. I tell everyone about this Restaurant.

My long-time friend wanted to take me out to lunch. She had Tub Tim Thai in mind for our lunch date. She highly recommended this restaurant in downtown Skokie. Now I have to be honest. I have eaten at several different Thai restaurants and never thought the food was all that great. So my expectations were not that high when we arrived at Tum Tim Thai. The inside of the restaurant is a pleasant place not too highly decorated, but quiet since there were about five or six tables with other diners. My friend ordered an appetizer, Meant Kim, which consisted of fresh Chapoo leaves topped with roasted coconut, sun-dried shrimp, bean sprouts, ground peanuts, diced ginger, shallots, lime and peanuts along with a side of hot Thai sauce and the regular sauce. When I saw that it had coconuts, I was worried. I really do not like coconut. However once I applied the regular sauce I absolutely loved the flavors. Excellent appetizer. Then my friend ordered what she wanted and I am sorry, but I can not remember what she ordered but I guess it was a dish she usually orders. I ordered the Stir-Fried Vegetables which included red rice, mushrooms, asparagus, pea pods, carrots, onions and green beans. I added sliced pork and it came with a side of the regular sauce and a wonderful peanut sauce. I absolutely loved this dish. I thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful flavors. I would say that Tum Tim Thai is a wonderful place to come and enjoy a wonderful meal, plus the waitress/hostess Abby was wonderful to have work with us and serve us. Her mother Chantra is the cook. Just the best Thai food I have ever had. I highly recommend Tum Tim Thai. This restaurant is located in downtown Skokie at 4927 Oaken Street.

Came here for a chill double date night with some friends. It's what you would expect: small Thai restaurant, no frills. Good food, decent prices.

The pad thai with chicken medum spicy, the crab rangoon & spring rolls oh my God it was so good and the service was on point. Mind you I live in Chicago.

First time dining here and it was alright. My husband and i walked in there and didn’t realize you seat yourself so we just stood there for a while until we realized it ourself. We were there with one other party but service was slow. My husband and I ordered spring rolls but what came out definitely didn’t look like your traditional spring rolls. It tasted like a mouthful of bean sprout (3 ingredients in there- egg, cucumber, and bean sprout) I told the waitress I think we meant egg rolls and she just shrugged it off and left. Crab Rangoon’s were okay, I couldn’t taste any crab.. they tasted more like cream cheese Rangoon’s. I ordered the vegetable pad kee mow and my husband ordered the vegetable fried rice. The entrees were both good which is why I’m giving this 3 stars instead of 1. I’d come here again but probably for take out instead of dine in.

I wanted so much to enjoy the food. I was very disappointed. It took an hour for our meal. There was only one server perhaps there was only one cook. The food was bland and flavorless. Nothing was seasoned with salt/pepper. Thai food was very Americanized and i was missing the authentic fresh herbs that Thai food is cooked with.
