Ladies & Gents hairdressing at its best. For years I tried a barber or stylists & struggled to find one that cut my hair to my satisfaction. That was before I met Emma. She had been a mobile hairdresser & had cut my wife's hair. I asked if she did mens hair & she agreed to do mine. That was about 5 years ago & she recently set up a salon within Sanctuary House & we both continue to make appointments to have our hair cut. Emma is friendly, sociable & very relaxed, as well as being very professional as she works. Both myself & my wife would recommend Emma to do whatever you require, just please keep it to yourself as I want to make sure she has time to do our hair.

Christine is by far the best I have seen at putting on acrylic nails and acrylic overlays. It is a lovely salon where you are made to feel most welcome. They make lovely coffee too xx

very unprofessional team, they think that if they draw the curtain in their staff room downstairs, customers won't hear what they are talking. this made me feel really uncomfortable before my appointment by overhearing them debating some sensible information i have filled in on the customer card. also there's no way to relax in the treatment room, due to location, all i could hear is bus engines causing window to vibrate. another thing is that place itself it's so tacky and has no character. definitely won't be going back

I had my first ever hot stone massage with Julia and it was truly fabulous. I often have a massage but this was something more special as is Julia, she was so attentive, calming and professional. I felt so relaxed and pampered and can't wait to go back again. I can't recommend this enough.

I absolutely love Sanctuary House! I have been coming to see Julia for a couple of years now after a recommendation from a number of friends. Every time I arrive I instantly feel relaxed. I tell everyone it's like getting a big hug as soon as you walk through the door! All of the staff are friendly and welcoming - nothing is too much to ask them. Reflexology with Julia is one of my favourite things - perfect for rebalancing the body and mind. I have recommended Julia and Sanctuary House to all of my friends... and just about anyone else who will listen! 5 star service every time - thank you!

This really is a sanctuary to feel relaxed and rejuvenated in!! I had a pedicure, a manicure and the most perfect St. Tropez tan applied just before going on holiday. The sun kissed look I had was perfect!!! Looked absolutely real! Just the perfect, subtle and sublime colour. Felt, and looked, beautiful!! I just shone! Can't recommend these treatments enough!!! You MUST come and try this for yourself! The tan is applied by hand which is probably why it looked so perfectly natural. I am returning in April for another!! Leigh is so lovely, and the staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful! I go regularly on a Wednesday to see the chiropodist Anne, who is absolutely fantastic. Treat yourself here soon and see for yourself!

Just moved into the area and found Sanctuary House, what a lovely salon! The girls were so professional and friendly. I had the most amazing facial, Leigh really helped me with my skin :) congrats on celebrating 20 years, I will be back soon!!

Highly recommend visiting Julia at Sanctuary House for reflexology. I always leave feeling a new woman. Julia really knows her stuff and as I'm heavily pregnant I feel so reassured knowing she knows exactly which areas to avoid, which essential oils are safe etc, and knows exactly how you make you feel relaxed and reinvigorated.

Sanctuary House is a fantastic salon. Have previously had eyebrows, pedicures, hairdressing and manicures when I lived in North Shields and even now I moved back to Gateshead, I still drive through the Tunnel for Christine to do my nails and what an amazing job she does. Can't rate higher than 5, but definitely would. Amazing and would and do recommend Sanctuary House to everyone. Even to the girls on the tills in Tesco when they have commented on my nails. Fantastic place and such a friendly welcoming place.
