Clean and spacious rooms and good view across the valley, and low cost. We didn’t see evidence of attentive staff, as we were shown to our room with hardly any engagement at all. The breakfast was basic, but plenty of it and a wide choice. Slightly spoiled by finding a hair in the fruit.

Visited with a group of friends and had an amazing time. Really amazing service and such fantastic facilities. We hired the whole place. Sauna was amazing. Outside space absolutely great and really good kitchen facilities. Would definitely visit again.

The room and bathroom were too hot for us. There was no outside window and no control over the heating. This was controlled by the owner via wifi.

Great little place, beautiful views and walkable into Durham if you are relatively mobile - if not there's an easy bus. Room was clean and comfortable and the owners were very responsive to any queries, and were very accomodating in helping arrange access to the room despite my very late arrival time. There was a good selection for the self service breakfast and a lovely view. Would not hesitate to stay here again if visiting Durham and the surrounding areas. Reasonably priced room too - only a little more than the basic chain hotels, and considerably nicer in every way. Thanks for a great stay and see you next time :)

Great little place. Very friendly and welcoming occupants. View from the rooms is amazing. Breakfast was good. Rooms were clean, tidy and modern, city center is a 5 minute drive. Cost roughly £7 in a taxi back from a night out. I would 100% recommend this as a place to stay if you're visiting Durham for a weekend.

Just back after a lovely week here at My Way. Great location on edge of the city and close to great walks using Old Railway Lines and the city centre. Kaye and Steve were very welcoming and our room (Cuthbert) was up to a really high standard. Extremely clean very comfy bed and amazing view across the countryside. Definitely will be back. Thanks again

We booked last minute and were very pleasantly surprised. Kaye was so helpful and flexible throughout the start and during the booking process. The stay surpassed our expectations, incredible views, comfortable rooms, our dog was in heaven too playing with their dog Harry. We'll definitely be staying again to explore the area more, we loved how close to Durham city it was
