Amazing food! Best hummus I've ever tasted. Owner was super friendly & welcoming. We will definitely return soon!

It has just opened but it's the best shawerma wrap I've tasted in KC. They've the "real" baba ganoush which really awesome and I only found it here. They've other sandwiches yet for me to try. Update: they have the Frishewerma... it's sooo good

Fast and delicious! I'm picky about hummus, and these folks make it just the way I like it. Maybe just a little more pita would have been nice. The gyros are a little unusual, as they're coated with a mildly sweet glaze. But they taste great. If you plan to dine in, aim for a non-peak time. The dining area is small, and the line for takeout can get long and noisy. Otherwise if you're in the mood for Mediterranean food, this is some of the best I've had in KC.

Just visited this new spot and it is definitely worth checking out. The hummus is amazing as well as the real baba ganoush. Can’t wait to come back and try more off the menu.

The food is so tasty and amazing. All the meat is halal. Real baba ganoush is exceptional. Falafel is hot and super delicious. By far one of the best chicken shawarma I ever had. The most important ingredient they use is Love, Love for people and Love for good food. Definitely coming back and bringing all my friends.

My mom and I are from out of town, we went and it was the best mediterranean spot we’ve ever ate at and we’re from San Diego. The atmosphere is so cute. The food is the best! The hummus is to flavorful. Customer service was so sweet. Will be driving out of my way just to eat here.

Very welcoming atmosphere, clean bathrooms, tables, the food is really tasty balanced well with their seasoning and touch. It's not a typical taste to the other Mediterranean restaurants which is a nice change. Food served piping hot and fresh. Thanks we will return.

Absolutely amazing food! The halloumi was delicious. I can’t stop thinking about the Gummus and warm pita bread. The tabbouleh is so light and refreshing. The falafel was outstanding and cooked to perfection. And finally, my favorite, the chicken shawarma. My goodness. The flavors will knock your socks off! My particular dish was served over yellow rice, it was fantastic. My dinner was so great I could not leave without taking a slice of baklava. The baklava definitely did not disappoint later, flaky and delish! After visiting Hummus and Pita, I understand why Dhiaa has such a great reputation! I can’t wait to come back.

This is the real thing. Employees were excited to share their specialties with a small taste. I got the three items kabob plate and baba Kenosha. It was more than I needed but I'm willing to try it all.

We visited on a late October evening and had a chance to enjoy the food on their patio. It was our first visit. The hummus was incredible. Very flavorful. We shared the chicken tikka plate which was unique and had a terrific yellow sauce. The owner kindly greeted us and checked on us during our meal. It was a great experience and we will be back very soon. Highly recommend.

Gyro was great. Chicken shawarma wrap was tasty. Shummus was amazing as was the pita. It is pricey! Didn’t care for the Baklava, it seemed old. There’s very limited seating. We ate outside. Overall - Would return!

I got the mixed kabob plate because I couldn’t decide what I wanted. All the meat here is so good but the chicken was my favorite. So tender and juicy for chicken!

We were impressed by how many positive reviews this place had so decided to visit. We started with falafel and the hummus and pita. Both of which were outstanding, we could tell the pita was freshly baked (grilled?). We were feeling adventuresome so we ordered some new dishes we hadn't tried before for entrees. We had the beef schwarma and chicken tikka. My husband loved the chicken tikka it was very moist and tasted great. The beef seemed a little dry but the flavor was excellent. The salads that came with them were fresh and delicious, I'd like to try a larger entree size. I ordered several sauces on the side to try them out, tzatziki, tahini, yellow, and spicy. They were all great and added a lot to the dishes. We will definitely be coming back to try a gyro. I've been dreaming about that pita and hummus!

This place was amazing. Very friendly, helpful staff and amazing food! On their recommendation I tried the chicken shawarma wrap - it was so flavorful and it's clear they make everything themselves. The garlic sauce that comes with the sandwich is truly to die for. They have delicious hummus, and the fried halloumi was good as well. It was enough food for two meals and I'm already looking forward to trying more of their menu!

So amazing, so amazing, so amazing! Couldn't say any less! Dhiaa, the owner, is fantastic and puts so much effort in bringing the best food to this tiny little town. The falafal is worthy of tears of joy.. he's got two kinds of Baba Ganoush and the hummus is so delectible. The Chicken Shwarma sur Hummus (or Shummus as he deems it) is addicting, in the best way!! The date shake is so perfect, it tastes like cookies and cream, which was surprising on the innitial sip, but sooo good!!! I highly suggest giving them a chance... ....and then another and another and another!! Couldn't rate it any higher if I tried. ✨️

The food is the star of the show. The staff was busy and it did take a little time but the quality was worth it. Clean place in a nice location. Best hummus and the shawarma was really good too. Baklava was more fluffy than crispy and wasn't completely soaked in honey.

I'm feeling guilty because I forgot to write a review the first time I stopped in at this adorable and DELICIOUS new restaurant in downtown Overland Park. If anyone deserved a raving first review, it is Hummus and Pita . The owner is welcoming and the flavors are spot on. We tried Chicken Shawarma and Gyros and the whole family was happy. Hummus is really good, seasoned to perfection. We will definitely be making this our new favorite Mediterranean go to! Thank you Hummus and Pita for moving in to Old OP!

The gyro meat @hummus_pita is my favorite in KC!! We had it on the hummus and could have eaten a whole second order. It has a good balance of meat to fat and with the really smooth hummus and warm pita - yes please!! The falafel is good but a little dry when compared to other places and it needs hot sauce. We also got the lamb kebab. Good char flavor but get it to go because it is really hard to eat with a plastic fork and knife.

They have stayed consistent with the quality of their ingredients. Every time I've been here the staff is friendly, helpful and the food tastes amazing! I can't recommend them enough.

It was a wonderful experience, the kitchen is clean and well organized , the ingredients are made daily so it’s healthy and also tasty. I highly recommend to try the hummus and the kabab plate if you like to discover new flavors and tastes. The quantity is perfect versus the price, without forgetting the good service either from the chef and the cashier. You can also book the staff for catering to add a unique touch to your events. I will definitely comeback later with my friends💜

Spicy hummus was out of this world, as was the baba ganoush. Food is fresh and perfectly seasoned with exotic flavor... great place to go on a food adventure. Love that you can sit in the park next to their pickup window!

I got the gyro and hummus. The food here is absolutely delicious and the staff are very friendly and always have a smile. The guy who took my order recognized me from last time and was happy to see me back. The hummus is some of the best I have ever had it’s smooth, fluffy, has good quality olive oil and comes with a spicy green topping. The gyro has delicious meat, fresh toppings and house made taziki sauce. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Amazingly delicious Mediterranean food right here in KC! Great service with a big smile and tasty offerings. I tried a little bit of everything and what an experience. Way to go and keep it up! Hey, cleanliness is also top notch.
