What a wonderful hidden gem! Full of historic information, and artifacts. You could spend several hours just wandering around inside. Staff are kind and knowledgeable and helpful with information. A must if you are in the area.

Excellent collection of artifacts. Interesting layout that includes the museum built around the house of an actual Buffalo Soldier. Learned that there were female Buffalo Soldiers serving in the US Army in the late nineteenth century. Never knew that. Fascinating place that is worth the stop!

Absolutely loved it! The tour guides are the best and they know everything there is to know about the Buffalo Soldiers. Our family reunion was awesome. I think everyone that wants to know about history, especially African-American history in this area should visit this cultural museum. 💕💕👍🏽

Find the amazing story of Cathy Williams, female Buffalo Soldier, along with Gen. Colin Powell and the famed Buffalo Soldiers. Housed in what was a station on the Underground Railroad right outside Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

The cultural center is a must-see which provides a look at local and national African American history. Ms. Wagner was available to answer our questions and share additional information about the history of the museum.

A step back into time. Still giving back to the Community with Child Care Programs. A must see for everyone that stands for Fairness and Freedom in the Predominantly Racist City of Leavenworth.
