Best EVERYTHING. Breakfast sandwiches, burgers, limeades, shakes, and of course the lovely ladies who run the place. Will forever sing their praises!

What can you say about Harold's? It is simply the best and friendliest Drive-In Diner in the city the prices are right for the overwhelming quality of the food. And the friendliness and service from the staff with a smile is always nice to see. And even if you're not a guy wearing a suit and tie you're just the guy wear a pair of crunchy overall I was trying to stay warm they still have time for you. Thank you one and all for being in the community

Harold's is a great little diamond in the rough. Been there for like 60 years. Food is great. Kinda like Town Topic, but better IMO. Downtown on Admiral just off the Paseo.

You want American burgers and fries, this place is that. Thick, wholesome, greasy burgers and soft crinkled fries. Coke products and don't fail to try their breakfasts sandwiches as well. Egg cheese and bacon between two pieces of butter Texas toast.

Rather pickup or delivery can’t go wrong with Harold’s! Nice hot sandwiches and they are friendly to pork alternative which we all know it’s hard to get turkey instead of pork! A down bitter classic go eat at Harold’s!!!

Old-skool breaky stand specializing in sandwiches. Small but worth it. I go for the bacon burritos w/ hash browns and a coffee. They don't offer combos as far as I could see (might've overlooked it) so it can be pricy but so is everything else nowadays. Expect to pay a good $10-15 but it's seasoned right and you'll be good for a few hrs. Fast service and the cook is a gem.

Fresh food with actual flavor and seasonings. The eggs were perfect, very good breakfast. SUPER friendly staff, place not fancy but clean, reasonably priced.

I place an order by phone and it ready within 7 minutes. Everything I ordered was fresh and to my satisfaction. The lady that took my order over the phone was very nice. So I give her 5 stars too. 😊

My coworker grabs us lunch from here occasionally and the food is always amazing. Today I had the very best ham and cheese sandwich I have ever had in my life. Also, the lady behind the counter was very nice.

If you haven't been to Harold's... I suggest you go if you like hamburgers. First time for me and won't be my last. Their hamburgers have a unique flavor to them that I love. I'll be back, maybe for breakfast next time

I don't understand the glowing reviews. The lady that takes the cash is very rude. No greeting, very terse, and seemed quite put off at the fact that it was my first time there and had questions. I did not feel singled out because she treated everyone the same as they came and went. The people preparing the food had zero sanitation protection. Hair dangling, sweat dripping, no gloves. The guy running the griddle scratched his armpit and then used the same bare hand to reach over and grab cheese to put on the burgers. There was another lady bagging food and calling orders. She also touched herself, the trash, food, etc. with no gloves. I found one of her grey hairs in my fries. I'm not a confrontational person so I took my food and left. I did not eat it though. How could I? How could anyone? I'm not a germaphobe by any means but there has to be a line somewhere. The establishment itself was unclean. Flies buzzing because the back door was open, raw food left out on surfaces rather than in a cooler, could not tell if anything had ever been even wiped down. Eat at your own risk.

Hadn't been to this spot in a while. Food and service are still great! It's in a bad area so watch your back. You won't be disappointed with food quality or service.

I was a regular when my dad / grandpa got me a job at the bottoms for the summer. I went with him to lunch at Harold's nearly everyday. He got a tenderloin but had the edges cut off because he would get too full to finish the sandwich and I got a single cheese burger which was the best burger I ever had. We would always eat lunch on our way to work in our car or we would eat our food under the bridge if we still had food left. Then he told me, "I can't finish this right now. I've gotten full, you want it?" I said I'll try it and when I did it was the best thing I've ever tasted. If I ever go back to work at the bottoms I will for sure go back to Harold's.

Food that has real flavor and flavors. The eggs were perfect; it was a delicious breakfast. Staff is quite pleasant, the facility is not spectacular but clean, and it is reasonably priced.

This is my favorite hamburger joint in Kansas City. Great service and terrific burgers made to order. Parking is up to the task. The garlic cheese bombs are out of sight! The only downside is that it's not a great neighborhood. Give Harold's a try!

I worked at 1101 east 13th st (GENERAL PARTS,Inc) back in the late ‘80’s thru 2012 when I retired, and Frequently bought my lunch at HAROLDS always eating in my parked car . I have Fond Memories of the 3 sisters who bought the place from HAROLD and their “banter”. I particularly recall around HALLOWEEN they occupied a parking space near the front door with 3 positioned BROOMS and Witches Hats! Glad to know HAROLDS is still in Business. 👍

Great Burger! This place is now at the top of my list when I want a cheese burger and this was the first time I've had Harold's. I got the double. Bun was toasted and buttery, onion, lettuce, mustard and cheese and the beef was excellent. I really enjoyed it.
