πŸ‘πŸ‘ I love this park!!! It’s big enough and has lots of wildlife to enjoy! Spotted 2 playgrounds and a gorgeous cottage cafe! Swimming pool is also located within the park. Carp fish were huge!! I can be here all day 😊. It’s so peaceful and has enough shade for hot weather. I will definitely be back! People often mention park, lake, cafe, ducks, kids, walk, great, Great, Beautiful, nice,

Beautiful park. It is so different when you come at night. I have been here a lot at night and it is so different then at daytime. There are so many bats in the trees. It is a great park

Quite a nice park with a sizeable pond, which is always teeming with various birds. Worth doing a few laps around.

This is a beautiful well maintained park. My bub and I saw lots of birds and ducks. And we absolutely enjoyed our walk in the park. There's a small playground for kids to enjoy on swings and seesaw. There's a cafe as well. Too bad it was closed by the time I went there. I'll go again some other day to try out their coffee.

Huge park and extremely gorgeous. There's a lake in the middle and huge trees all over to have a small picnic under. The park has benches for those who just want to sit and admire without wanting to picnic. There's also walking paths for joggers. For kids there is a jungle gym to go crazy in. There's a public toilet on the Mount Alexander Road side that is automated. You can buy coffees from the cafe situation adjacent to the bowls club. Gets a bit crowded on a sunny day. So come early if you want to find a good spot and also a parking spot nearby.

We used it as a catch up location. We met at the cafΓ© and ordered coffees and food. The chips were popular. There were lots of seats to accommodate the 7 of us. There are playgrounds for young ones, one on each side of the lake. The gardens are well maintained and it's a magic spot to walk around and chill out.

Good place to walk the dogs, large well-kept lawns, shaded walkways bordered by flowers, trees and ferns, charming nooks to hide or pic-nic in (eg the sunken garden). Has clean modern public toilets, water fountains for people and dogs. a cafe, children's playgrounds and sandpits. Astonishing variety of trees, diverse unusual plants and flowers, including Begonia, Hibiscus, Illawarra flame tree, ferns, Native pines, Grevillia, red flowering eucalyptus. A black swan, corellas, ibis, lorikeets, ravens, ducks, night heron, moorhens and cormorants. The vibe changes with the seasons and time of day.

There are ducks, geese, other birds and carp fish in a lake. There are more birds than some other parks and reserves in Melbourne. Merely walking is relaxing. You can have BBQ or picnics. Good for dogs.

It's a nice little park with lots of birds and a lovely little lake. There are picnic and party areas as well. Unfortunately the park surrounded by main roads and traffic and you can hear the noise from the street which is pretty loud. This is common in many city parks and affects the tranquillity of the place.

I absolutely love this little cute park with so much nature on this small piece of cityland. It is very well maintained and always clean. A perfect spot for a family picnic or a birthday party. I just love this content air in the park, not to mention the calm and pleasant oak alley. I just wish it was a bit bigger :)

Love this park. 2 great playgrounds for the kids, toilets on site, local cafe for coffee, huge lake with ducks and stunning landscapes and plants. Huge enough for picnics on lawns and also walk around the lake. Close to local amenities - coles/woolies shops and restaurants nearby for last minute food. What a local gem!

Always a pleasure to walk through the Queens Park. There are toilets, lots of benches and even more grass to sit on and grab a snack. I love it! The only thing I'd love to see, is more warnings that people should NOT feed ducks with bread, only lettuce and cabbage. Please, if you want to feed ducks, be aware of this! They adore baby cos lettuce, and they'd appreciate you even more.

Great park, lots of space for families to enjoy and you almost forget that you are in an inner city suburb. With the sound of the birds and the sound of the breeze through the magnificent trees will surely impress. Great to get out to your picnics with COVID restrictions easing!

Beautiful park with picturesque lake and flora, ducks, ibis...Nice walk around the park with plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the view. There is also a cafe and kids' playground with swings, slides etc. A few water fountains around the park if you forget to bring a water bottle. Plenty of street parking. Wheelchair accessible, dog friendly(on leash) A great little oasis in the heart of Moonee Ponds.

Went for a festival, festival was actually pretty good, alot of stalls that are basically showing you what's opening up near the area, there was karate which was fun to watch. The park lovely to walk around, also has ducks buy the lake, just missing a playground haha

Great place to take the kids or grandkids to. Very accessible and user friendly walking paths to walk the toddlers, beautiful play are and a cute little pond where they can view the water birds. Also very close to numerous cafes and eateries. Really fortunate to have something so beautiful in the heart of suburbia.

A cute park with a nice lake to walk around and two playgrounds at either side. There is only one toilet but it's self cleaning so that's appealing. Also there is a coffee shop near one of the parks so you can let the kids roam free while you take a breather and caffeinate.

I just quickly stopped by this park for a short time. It has certainly changed over the years for the better. It is so lush with plants and paths you do think it is much larger than what it actually is. I will be coming back here as I felt serenity here. There also is a cafe to visit in the park and a small lake with ducks and swans.

One of the more lovely parks in the Northern suburbs. Spacious and historic. There is something for everyone...including kids, fitness fanatics, and botanists. Many fine species of trees. Dog friendly (leashed preferred).

  • 5/5 Elise V. 4 years ago on Google
I'd say the best park on this side of the city! Sprawling well-maintained grounds with established trees and a range of diverse flowers and plants. Two separate playground areas, kids love the pond/lake and stepping stones in the bush garden area. Great place to wander through or take children for a run around and play. Could definitely use an additional public toilet facility, otherwise great!

A great place to refresh your mind and body???. A quiet park with views over the beautiful city of Melbourne. The lake and the surrounding area is the perfect place to relax and enjoy. You can see many kinds of birds such as ducks, Seagulls, Pigeons and more. The play ground is closed because of Coronavirus. I advise you to try and visit this beautiful park.

What a beautiful sanctuary in suburbia. The lake with it's abundance of bird life is great and the surrounding gardens are very well planted and looked after. A cafe, children's playground and memorials from WW1 as well as others makes this a very versatile place to visit. The path in the middle is an avenue of beautiful old oak trees.

  • 5/5 David Van Der H. 3 years ago on Google
Love this place. A great park with two great playgrounds, plenty of space and a track right around it. The birdlife don't hassle you, they exist in their own world. The cafe is fantastic and there's sufficient free parking around.

Changed my review from 5⭐ to 1⭐. I love the place but there's no respect anymore from the people that go there. Dogs walking/running around off the leash (park's rule says you can't) people feeding ducks (also can't do it) and Bicycles, lots of people riding bicycles there (also can't do it)

Brilliantly designed, lots of green spaces and a lake. Great place to hold many different kinds of events. Plenty of areas to do Tai chi or physical training seasons or hold birthday parties and the like. My only suggestion is that it needs toilets with baby changing facilities on the Pascoe vale Rd side of the park. Otherwise, it is a lovely place for a walk in the park.

Nice cafe in a classic Melbourne park. Swell pond, playground is safe without being tedious to walk around with a curious three year old. Pigeons will quickly pounce on any food left out but there’s ducks and other wildlife on and around the pond. Overall if you like parks you will probably like this.

Enjoying my morning walks here, beautiful park, lots of greens, colorful flowers, a pond where all the duckie can be seen enjoying their time, 2 playground for family with kids, cafe, public toilet, clean park, well maintained by the people from Moonee Valley City Council.

Awesome park! Lots of wildlife, a cafe, toilets, bins, rotary wishing well, children's play equipment, public swimming pools & a lawn bowls club. You will usually find that there's plenty of friendly people exercising & having picnics. I always feel positive vibes here & recommend this park wether it's for exercise, reading a book (plenty of shaded areas just watch those sprinklers), or other activities like practicing mindfulness.

Gorgeous park, plenty of room to accommodate the hordes. Playground areas could be bigger. Very overcrowded. Clearly extremely popular with young families. Most people doing the right thing wearing masks and not drinking alcohol, sticking to numbers etc. Part of current lockdown rules.

COVID? WHAT COVID? Pretty much PACKED with people walking around with their noses sticking out of their masks, like not quite tucking your doodle into your jocks. Police station across the road giving zero fcks about social distancing. BUT! This review is for the park, not the people! Great park, awesome little coffee shop and nice little lake.

Lovely park with lots of shade, a lake (with ducks!) and nice people. The only downside is that this park is surrounded by busy roads so it's not the best place to take your dog off leash, but for an on leash walk it's great.

A wonderful, extensive park in the heart of Moonee Ponds. We had a picnic near the cafe. Delightful surrounds, lots of kids having a ball. We were with a toddler so this suited us fine. Lots of places to go if you want quiet and restful. Lots of open lawns, formal gardens and walking paths. Coffee from the cafe was acceptable. The lake is lovely and the park is highly recommended. Moonee Ponds shopping strip is nearby with supermarkets, cafes etc.

Stunning park with a huge lake populated with waterfowl, mixture of open grassy areas, shady areas under massive oak trees, and densely planted forest areas. Almost the entire park is wheelchair accessible, including the small cafΓ© (part of the eating area is raised up a step, but there is a ramp onto it on one side). Beautiful historic items scattered about.
