You get an amazing experience with setting up and packing down the balloon. Spectacular views of the Yarra Valley. Each experience will be unique as the wind and weather determines how the balloon will fly. Also definitely recommend adding the food option as it includes a Buffet breakfast with Tea, Coffee & Sparkling wine!

Had the most amazing experience with Global Ballooning yesterday morning with a hot air balloon flight over the Yarra Valley. The team was amazing and had us involved through the whole process, helping set up and pack down the balloon. Amazing experience hot air ballooning around the Yarra Valley. Our pilot Brian was great and informative and his sense of humour was decidedly quirky. All aspects of this experience was exceptional. From the phone call to make the booking , emails and the app to keep us informed about the event to the Ground crew who assisted us with transport etc on the day. Whilst in the air the views were picturesque and the sunrise was spectacular. Highly recommend.

Went to this place a few years back and only now have the opportunity to review it. Other than it was freezing cold and you need to rug up ‘ it is one of the most amazing experiences you can do. When your in the air the sun coming up is totally amazing’ the silence is amazing as you are travelling the speed of the wind. You travel at a height above 4000 feet for a bout a hour The staff are amazing and are informative. A must do

It was fantastic. Have a look, in the morning they pick us up from the hotel in Melbourne, then a travel 1 hour to Yarra Valley, Theo and Raine so nice, and friendly. When we arrive in Yarra Valley we help to assemble the balloon. Then we meet Edward, the pilot of the balloon, so friendly and take care of us, always taking the control of any risk in the activity. After finishing the amazing travel, we when to the restaurant to get a so good breakfast. Theo brought us back to the hotel. 100% recommended. Thank you.

A wonderful and memorable experience over the Yarra valley with buffet breakfast at Balgownie Estate after the flight. Took off at Rochford winery and landed at Zonzo….ride was not how i expected it to travel as it did not go around much but just hovered above the Zonzo area and more on going up and down. The entire flight from take off to landing was definitely less than an hour….saw the same view around the whole time. Staff though were all nice and friendly. Will have to try another ballooning experience next time.

Received notification the evening before to confirm the trip - the nerves settled in. I’m a shorty myself so I was worried how I was going to get in the balloon honestly. They have little grooves in the basket to step up and Baz helped support me to get in. We met at the meeting place, a nice hotel in with a cheap flat parking rate for those doing a hot air balloon experience. We made our way down to the park. Cool seeing how they set up the ballon. Eddie was quite open and transparent that the trip may have been shorter as it all depends on the wind but it didn’t feel like it! The weather was brilliant, that sunrise shone over the city and surrounding and we were still able to see the beauty of everything below..didn’t look like tiny specks. We landed on a field smoothly. It was a team effort packing the balloon up. On the way back Eddie sent everyone photos from the go pro and a Timelapse which is amazing. Thanks so much to Eddie and Baz. Loved this experience!!

Truly life changing experience with Global Ballooning Australia - we never knew flying in a giant balloon would be that much fun! There was just something so mesmerizing about being 4,000 feet above ground and basking in all the bountifulness and beauty from Yarra Valley and the local scenaries. Another great flight with the team at Global Hot Air Ballooning! First time we went with our 8 year old daughter and this time we went just the two of us. We stayed at Balgownie Estate this time.. which made the 4am call time much easier! The flight and the staff were so lovely and incredibly attentive! WOW - amazing sunrise hot air balloon flight. Eddie the pilot, navigated the ballon and was, well experienced, confident and fun and was always happy to answer any questions. Very organized and professional. We had a very smooth flight throughout, including the takeoff and landing. The whole experience was magical - so peaceful and the views were stunning. Wind - or rather the lack of - meant we didn't fly over the city, but the views were still spectacular and we got to see the sunrise. The communication about the weather and whether the flight was going ahead was spot on, and the app provided lots of useful information and updates. It was great fun helping to get the balloon filled and packing up too, and my husband was able to join the ground crew while I was on the flight, and he thoroughly enjoyed helping Nick follow our balloon to the landing site. Couldn't fault my first ever hot air balloon flight - everything was very organized and professional, would highly recommend Global Ballooning!

There are no words to describe how nice the people here are and the service is so accommodating! If I could give 100 stars, I would definitely give it! The scenery and service are both good and worth coming again and again! When we had no transportation, we originally planned to give up the ride, but in the end they specially picked us up and dropped us off, fulfilling our dream of taking a hot air balloon ride! Thoroughly enjoyed our ballon flight in the Yarra Valley with pilot Eddie who shared his knowledge about ballooning and the area with us, along with his sense of humour. The flight was fantastic, and the staff provided one of the best customer services Ive seen in my life (and Ive been in customer services for more than a decade). Today is a special day for me as I proposed to my now fiancee. Sanshiro and Nick were extremely helpful, asking me and suggesting ideas on the down low to help keep it a surprise. Take note, I didn’t take the private flight but was still able to make it extremely memorable. I owe it toSanshiro and Nick for making the day a success. If I can give more than 5 stars, I would. My wife and I had an unbelievable experience climbing over Yarra Valley. I'm not one for heights, but was completely at ease in the balloon. Bambi was excellent on the way from Melbourne, giving the group a history lesson about the area, and Brian and crew ensured smooth sailing for the entirety of our ride.

Had a fantastic first ballooning experience over the Yarra Valley for my friend’s birthday. Brian was a super pilot, and very friendly and funny. The set up and pack down is as fun as the ride itself - we all want to become professional hot air balloon pilots now!! Was surprised at how much warmer and cosy it is in the basket too. No need to wear as many layers as we did! Highly recommend. P.S to anyone with a fear of heights (like myself) this isn’t scary in the least.

Amazing ballooning experience with Eddie, a pilot experienced beyond his years. Couldn't recommend this professional yet laid back company more. Although it's a group flight, you're left to enjoy it as you please with your partner/s, and Eddie chimes once in a while with a nugget of info about the region and the art of ballooning. We had a great time overall, even though we were little late on arrival crew made sure we had the best experience. It was an hour flight, watching sun rise while you are in the sky was amazing, highly recommended for couples of all ages. Buffet breakfast after the flight was nothing exceptional exceptional.

Hot air ballooning across Yarra Valley is a fantastic experience if you are up for an adventure 4,500 ft up in the air! Our pilot, Eddie, is very friendly and knowledgeable. Each ride is unique as it depends on weather conditions, but they have a lot of experience doing this and know how to plan the route to make sure that we get a good view of the wine country and the surrounding area. I’d definitely recommend doing this at least once!

What a great experience. I had the pleasure of flying over the Yarra Valley with Eddie. His attention to detail making sure we were included with every facet of the journey was exceptional. The trip its self was beautiful and very safe. Although it was the extra touches that really sets this experience apart from the rest. From being apart of the set up of the balloon, allowing us to go inside the inflated balloon to the certificate and post card at the end of the flight. It was just a really amazing experience and I would recommend this to anyone.

Great experience with Global Ballooning, everything has been well organized, email and SMS notifications the night before etc. Getting out of bed 3:30AM was hard, but 120% worth the effort. Taking off and landing, both super smooth; breathtaking view of the valley from the basket; and pilot Grega was awesome. The breakfast buffet afterwards was a treat too! Also, a special thank-you goes to Mandy, you are such a great host, even when it was your day off LOL.

Truly professionals of their craft. I’ve been privileged to fly with them a few times, and the experience for each has been nothing short of perfect. From the morning meeting location (finding it in the dark at 4:00am in a foreign place is not always easy!), to the safety briefing, the flight itself and the goodbyes - it’s a wonderful and friendly journey. The flight over Melbourne CBD and the Yarra Valley are exceptional. Nothing is ever rushed, and everything Is explained. The process in setting up and packing down the balloons is awesome to see, and if you’re fit and up for it, you can contribute physically. They also give you some awesome photos taken from a mounted GoPro. Standouts for service are Mandy and Pato!

Our experience with Theo, Paul and Scarlett was out of this world. The ride was for my grandma's 80th and we were able to use their special accessibility basket. From the moment we arrived we could not fault the enthusiasm and professionalism of the staff to make our day truly memorable. From helping to unpack and inflating the balloon, the ride and packing the balloon up at the end the crew put great emphasis on safety but made the experience interactive and fun for all passengers. The transport bus to and from the pick up point was very comfortable and the breakfast at the end was delicious. For someone who hates heights I found the experience very pleasant. Thanks Emily

Best experience ever, And very friendly staff to explain and guiding what to do during this flight and preparation.

We had our Yarra Valley Flight this morning. The flight was very fun and the scenery was beautiful. The staff members are all very friendly and professional. They contacted us through emails, phone calls, text messages and wechat many times before the flight date making sure everything was in order. We got picked up from the city near our apartment by Raine and Theo in the early morning and were dropped back to the city after. The whole experience, including the flight and some activities before and after, totalled nearly 3 hours and it was very entertaining throughout. Also, Raine rushed to process the photos and we received them before we even got back home.

Global Ballooning showed us a great time for our first hot air balloon ride. They were very professional and stayed in constant communication before the ride to keep us informed of weather conditions. All staff were very friendly and fun. I could not recommend them more highly.

I am fear of height and worried about flying in the sky. However, the hot balloon was actually very stable and peaceful in the sky. Brian and his team were so friendly and made the whole experience so clam and smooth. The sunrise and landscape views were great over the Yarra Valley, wonderful breakfast after the fly too!

As someone who is quite afraid of heights, I was very surprised at how manageable it was and I felt really safe having Steve as our pilot, even our landing was so fun! 🙃 Part of the fun was also being able to be part of the crew and help pack up the balloon! One of the best experiences we have had. I was amazed at how peaceful it was, very easy to leave all your worries behind and focus on the moment. Couldn't have asked for a better hot air ballooning experience. It was our first time and the crew ensured we were well informed with all safety procedures. Sorry couldn't remember the name of the lady this morning(11th Dec) but her high energy most definitely pumped us up at 5 in the morning. Steve was our pilot and an absolute legend who should consider stand up comedy as a side gig. Our flight took us right over the CBD (while others went by the side) and the winds changed our course a little and made it extra special going above the Melbourne Zoo with the elephants giving us a warm welcome this morning. Landing was awesome and is as smooth as it gets! Mark was our ground crew that delivered us to the launch site ane picked up right on time as we land. All in all, the set up and pack up made it a really enjoyable experience. Personally I would encourage to volunteer yourself for any set up activities for a more unique experience! An experience I would most certainly recommend through Global Ballooning!

They have the most incredible hot air balloons which fly in some incredible locations, once we finished our tour all we could think was why haven’t we done it sooner. Highly recommend for a memorable occasion!

Had a wonderful experience with Global Ballooning Australia in the Yarra Valley in late January! From booking online, right through to the experience on the morning it was seamless! The information provided was accurate, and the team professional! It was an absolutely perfect morning for our flight! It was fantastic to have the opportunity to be involved in the setup, and many hands certainly did make light work with pack up, following our very smooth paddock landing!

Good experience but pick up location is setup for people that are experienced with the location and not for travelers especially foreigners. There is an app and allow everyone to share their pictures with everyone but unfortunately no one did. There is a go pro setup which is a plus but it would be even better if the video can be shared with us through YouTube.

I’m so used to experiences not living up to the hype, but I have to say, our morning flight over the Yarra Valley with Pilot Pato and ground crew Theo & others, did live up to the hype, and more. The whole team could not have been friendlier. The flight was stunning, the setting up and packing up was fascinating and fun. Thanks Global, we highly recommend your company.

The entire experience was exhilarating. Watching Melbourne come to life below us and dawn breaking over Mount Dandenong. The staff and our pilot, Kiff, were wonderful. Can't adequately describe how exciting it was either.

We enjoyed the whole experience flying with Global Ballooning, floating above the clouds was peaceful and the sunrise is extra special from up there. The whole team did an excellent job to get us aloft by sunrise. Highly recommend it for those looking to get some great photos.

Fantastic experience of a lifetime. A must go when you are in Melbourne. The hot air balloon team was exceptionally professional, and the view was breathtaking! Afterwhich, the wine tasting experience was tastefully curated. Will highly recommend for travellers to join this tour!

What an experience! The super early start already set the tone of excited anticipation and that was before we even got on the shuttle bus with our pilot Clem and driver Greg. It was a balmy, still, pre-dawn Melbourne morning as we crept into the Bulleen parklands to set up. Surreal to see no activity until there was 6 other busses and balloon trailers gathered on a large oval like a secret tribe meeting in the darkness. As the first glimpse of the new day began to colour the sky to the east with pinks and blues, the roar of the flames inflating the balloons was truly unique. We all stood back as each balloon began to take shape and were excited to jump into the basket and get a quick but reassuring safety briefing. Then, just like that, we floated up and began tracking towards the eastern side of the city and the glow of the other balloons below us got smaller and the city skyline was being kissed by a glorious sunrise. Clem masterfully guided us through the tree tops of the nearby golf courses as the burners punctured the silence of floating and the birdsong rising from below. We tracked peacefully across some of Melbourne’s nicest suburbs, followed the Yarra winding around the bends, took in the Botanical Gardens and picked out all the iconic locations, stadiums and structures before landing gently in Fawkner Park. It was fun working together to help Greg pack up the balloon, it was like the worlds biggest sleeping bag! Short drive back to our hotel meeting point to tuck into a big buffet breakfast… and all that before work! Big thanks to the whole Global Ballooning team, from booking to buffet, all involved did a magnificent job. Highly recommend ticking this one off the bucket list.

Absolutely loved it! Although it’s costly, it’s a once in a lifetime experience. Well worth it. I was expecting to be scared, but absolutely not! The height wasn’t an issue. It was so gentle and peaceful. Highly rate. Would definitely do it again in another location @globalballooningaustralia #globalballooning

We loved our ballooning trip with Global Ballooning in the Yarra Valley. Everything was really professional and we had an amazing time. The buffet breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had too!

Such an amazing, once in a lifetime experience. “Stoney” our bus driver, he’s a funny old guy, instantly made you feel at ease, the nerves slowly went away. Our pilot Kiff was professional, friendly and full of local knowledge. Was easy to talk to, happy to share his stories of ballooning. If you haven’t experienced hot air ballooning, and are either a. contemplating or b. hesitant. Don’t! Do it! You will not be disappointed nor will you regret it. Honestly couldn’t fault it. Be prepared to help out with inflating/deflating the balloon, the packing away.
