Fantastic burgers and a great classic diner feel. Very lively place. Definitely try the corn fritters!

Thought it was still Town Topic. SNACK SHACK has moved in. Very good, cozy hamburgers dogs and shakes. I like extra crispy fries.

Absolutely a gem of downtown Overland Park. Highly recommend stopping here if you're in the mood for a fantastic burger. Been wanting to go here for a while now and finally had the chance to stop in for lunch. Nice, cozy atmosphere with bar-style seating. I got The Bobby, which came with lettuce, pickles, grilled jalapeños, lightly grilled onions, cheese, and two patties. Delicious. Juicy patties, onions slightly browned but still crunchy melted into the cheese, perfectly done jalapeños. Also got a side of 50/50 (definitely the way to go), onion rings were crispy with flavorful batter and the softer fries were a nice contrast. Finished up with a chocolate banana malt that was extremely good. Hard to find somewhere that uses quality chocolate ice cream like this. Absolutely stop here if you get the chance. Definitely time for a nap now though lol.

Stopped for a quick lunch. Everything Is ala carte. Veggie burger is pretty spicy. Onion rings were excellent. Slider and fries for the kids meal. My husband had the burger and fries. The cherry limeade had lime sherbet in it. Tables were sticky. The night chairs were filthy, I wouldn’t put the baby in them. We had to use a booster for her. The juke boxes in the tables are just for decoration. Parking in front in Johnson Dr and around the corner in the side street.

Came here for a lazy Sunday lunch and it hit all the spots. We tried their hotdog with grilled onions and jalapeño, and really enjoyed the simplicity of it all. While we prefer the bratwurst sausage, this weiner dog was delicious, and I really enjoyed the bread roll instead of the standard hotdog bun. The fries and onion rings were good, and the vanilla malt shake was delicious. It’s a cute setup and the service was quick. Good prices as well.

When I walked in, I already fell in love with 70-80s vibes. I ordered “Mushroom Swiss” & it was soooo good! The onion rings was super crispy as well. The service was good, quick, & friendly!

Just like a old-fashion diner, one of the gems in in the kc metro. I had the mushroom Swiss burger with an order of fries. Didnt have time during the day so I had my lunch at 5pm after route. The pictures and sayings on the wall kept me entertained until my food was ready. If you like old school diners this place is for you. Definitely worth the stop

Look. This place is hands down one of the best burger places in Kansas City. The root beer float and the cherry limeade were phenomenal as well. The Snack Shack pays attention to the history of retro diner style fast food and excels at it. Please take time out to visit this place and try it for yourself!

Really good!! Great tasting burgers. My husband got the down towner. He was a little disappointed with the price/size ratio. I got the lunch special thing that came with fries and mine was cheaper, came with more, and was larger. But overall tasted great! Great customer service. Place was clean and everyone friendly. Definitely will come again!

Snack Shack on Johnson Drive has been in business for over 70 years; it has had New Owners for the past 6 months, who are reviving making one of the Best Hamburgers in the Area ! Their fries and onion rings are Delicious, too ! Vegan Burger is Tasty ! They offer a variety of beverages from pop to cherry limeade with real lime sherbert to chocolate shakes. Busy place, but you can take out. Made to order burgers, hot dogs and a vegan burger. Clean, Efficient, Friendly and Well Organized. CLOSES AT 3 PM ON SATURDAYS. First time here and it was very crowded so we ordered to go. It was amazing. One of the best burgers I've had in a while. Got the Bob and was not disappointed! Maybe one day we'll dine in if it's ever not swamped with peeps! 👍👍

My boyfriend and I walked into Snack Shack with zero expectations and we were completely blown out of the water!!!! Best burger and fries I’ve ever had in my entire life (I’m not exaggerating)!!!! This is such a hidden gem that just opened near our home and it will be in our rotation of places to eat. So yummy! 10/10, highly recommend! :)

Stopped in for a bite to eat. I really liked the double bacon cheeseburger. I didn't like the fries that much because they were soggy, but I'll still come back and try it again. I'd recommend it too!

Great fast food with an old school atmosphere. The seating is limited but it adds to the charm. The burgers, tenderloin, fries, and onion rings were great. I didn’t sample everything but people around me seemed like they were enjoying their food.

definitely be coming back. The burger meal and fried was great. The fries are big and crispy. The burger meat is so tender and juicy just melts in your mouth! Add a shake to your meal, the Oreo shake was great, and you can choose chocolate or vanilla base ice cream. Looking forward to coming back next time I’m close by.

Amazing find. Food was great, hot and fresh. Service was friendly and exactly what you want. Atmosphere was just like an old fashioned diner. Incredible. The cherry limeade with like sherbert was the best I've ever had, and I've had one every chance I get.

This is a tasty burger... as was the tenderloin sandwich. The onion rings were the star of the show though! They were so crunchy and from what I could tell, everything is freshly cooked when you order. That's what I tell myself at least, as I scold my mouth with every bite. I loved it. I'll be back.

One of our favorite places in town, burgers are delicious! Staff is always friendly, and they do a great job working fast to keep up with the crowd. I lost a wallet there one night and they kept it for me until I came back the next day, nothing missing. We love you snack shack!

Tried this a couple weeks back and I’m sitting here thinking about it so yeah it’s def memorable. Thin laces of beef topped with melted cheese. The buns are fluffy and perfect and the service is great to boot. All around, yes for me.

Tried The Snack Shack today it was pretty good and inexpensive yet by no mean bland in flavor. The service was both friendly and quick though they don't have a huge selection it's perfect if you're looking just for a burger and some fries and maybe something sweet with not a lot of time. I tried an Oreo chocolate malt, tenderloin and a single hamburger with cheese all in all would definitely give this place a try.

We went here because it seemed like a cute little burger place and they did not disappoint... burgers were amazing. Very happy they had a Veggie burger as well as most burger places do not, the regular burgers are thin patties which are amazing, not filled with grease. Would absolutely return and eat there again. Staff was also nice. LOVE the decor they have up.

I had not eaten here for quite some time and I decided to stop in and get an amazing cheeseburger today! I absolutely love the new and bigger fries!! I originally heard of this place by seeing one of the local news channels doing a story about them and had an overweight guy drooling for a cheeseburger and fries LOL :) I love supporting a small family owned/ran local business! I am so thankful that Matt and his family have ALL survived this Covid Pandemic!! Cant wait for some form of normalcy again soon.

Stopped by on a Friday evening. Small local place, not a lot of seating so be prepared if you go during peak time. Pretty busy but got food fairly quickly. Burgers were very good. Onion rings were good. Shake was nice. Just a good little burger place. Will definitely go back!

This buried gem of downtown Overland Park has been discovered! Small place with a great vibe and fantastic food and ice cream. I can recommend the peanut butter banana shake. Great selection of burgers and my favorite is any one of them with cheese and grilled onions.

Definitely a new favorite joint for a good burger and shake. I think we ate every bit that we ordered. We had the bobby, downtowner and snack attack. Vibe is an old school diner. Food was good , the staff was great and the atmosphere was excellent!

The first time we went there, the lady that took our order was great, she's a cute black girl ..... but on our 2nd time, it's a different girl that took our order, she was on her cellphone 📱, make us wait on the counter , as if there's no customers waiting for her. I almost wanted to ask my husband to leave and go somewhere else.

Same 'ole classic Snack Shack from downtown OP relocated, has all the old cham and food but in a spruced up larger diner building. Burgers are great and the ice cream is good, go give it a shot.
