First time trying this place and loved it! One thing we didn’t realize is that there is no indoor/outdoor dining. They only accept to go orders online through your phone. Mango lassi was great and not overly sweetened. We tried the chicken tikka masala thali and loved the chicken tikka - tangy, saucy, chicken is not overly smoky. Naan is okay. We ordered the masala fries too bc we were curious and were pleasantly surprised that they are very nicely seasoned although it seemed like they had been refried and were oily. We have tried Pakwan Bay Area too and prefer this slightly more.

Unprofessional and dirty workers, the Bryani dish was extremely greasy, and awful, the masala tea was not hot and served cold and awful. Waste of time and money, not recommended at all, Here the the photos and found hair in the meal, its disgusting and frustrating

Just average! Look at the chapli kebab that is so dry and not juicy at all. This is not what i expected. Masala is not that impressive. Overall, at least to me, it is not authentic experiences i can expect from Peshawar.

First visit after hearing so many things and what a chaotic experience it was. Firstly there was a line outside, no place to sit, to order have to do at the counter with not much time to decide people waiting right behind. If you are looking for a chilled out relaxed experience this is not the place. Indoor was kind of smoky by the time food came I was already feeling satiated with the strong food smell. They do not have Biryani in any form, that’s a big downside. Food is modernized version and not the authentic Indian/Pakistani, this is exactly similar to Curry up now from what I ordered. Not something like Shalimar or Pakwan. Wondering what all this fuss about. They have outdoor and indoor seating. Street parking available.

Plastic containers for warm food, that’s what I hated the most about this place. Just a hyped place, there’s no difference in terms of food containers being used if you do take out, order through DoorDash or go there to dine in. We went to dine in and saw they pack everything in plastic containers and use plastic bags for same. Talking about food, we ordered a thali with paneer tikka masala and the Quantity was below average. Quality was okay but I was surprised with the quantity of paneer cubes they put in the curry. Samosas were amazing in taste, that’s the only thing we liked the most. We also tried madras paneer wrap which was supposed to be spicy as mentioned by restaurant manager and it was mild.

There are not enough good things to say about Zareen's. Honestly- we don't live in the area and frequently will make the drive (over an hour) just to get dinner. We would come for date night pre covid and now during lockdown are so happy to grab takeout and head home. We LOVE the Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Boti Sizzler, Samosa (veggie or chicken) and the naan. They also have a great Mango Lassi and their tea is out of this world. The staff here is great- really kind and super efficient and they are working hard during the pandemic. Calling ahead will get you your meal faster but even if you order on arrival the wait usually isn't too bad.

We had Dal Lentil and Paneer Tikka Masala bowl. Both were just fantastic. For a side we ordered a Naan and Masala Fries too. All in all, everything was good. Don’t miss their hot chai before you leave though. Definitely recommended ✅

Best butter chicken, and samosas. Suggestion is to have all of it hot! It’s a Michelin rated restaurant!

Didn't know it is a to-go place. But there's tables and benches outside. The food is very delicious. We ordered thali. However realized that the thali order doesn't contain as many dishes as most other Indian restaurant, no rasam, for example. But the food is still very good.

Tried their food for the first time, we ordered their famous Nihari, Chicken Haleem, Chicken Boti Sizzler with Naan, Plain Rice, Mango Lassi and Chai. Nihari was the best 10/10 very delicious. Haleem was good as per my family 8/10 Sizzler was ok not very outstanding 6/10 Naan 9/10 Lassi was so good 10/10 Chai outclass 10/10 Service 9/10 Due to covid their Dine-In was closed so we got our food in take-away boxes and we had it outside but the worker came and asked us if we need anything even when they were not serving food. That was very kind of him. Must visit place if you're looking for traditional Pakistani taste.

I am a regular for Sunday Nihari at Zareens. And this time it was such a huge disappointment. The amount of meat was so scanty. This happened 2 weeks back as well so last week I mentioned it to them while ordering and they fixed it. This week I didn’t mention them, and again this has happened. Will I always have to make special mentions about keeping up with the quality? Palo Alto branch has great standards but this Mountain View branch is below par. 😢

Surprised that it's just a to go place; You order, you pick up and you have the option of eating outside on uncomfortable chairs at mismatched and dirty tables. Not too impressive if you invited someone for lunch! Different from most of the online pictures. Other than that, the food was OK, spicy for me. Chicken Masala was good. We didn't like the special-recipe samosas. The bread was served in a closed paper bag and must have been bagged a while back, taste was ok but it was moochy. Not sure we will be back.

Next time gonna order yellow daal one whole bowl .. love it love it .. Only one thing is that it’s expensive and quantity is less

The food is delivered at a blistering speed. There is kiosk to place orders and choose from the menu that makes things convenient and quick. Quality is great, Quantity is decent, their combos deserve a special mention with loads of vegeterian and meat options to choose from. The place more suited for take out than dine in as the seating is outdoor with very limited tables.

Really good lamb combo and grilled chicken Thali combo we had. Meat was very flavorful with perfect amount of spice. This place is to go only. They do have limited open space seating outside. Really good indo-pak food joint. On weekend they cook biryani and Nihari as well. I will try those and report back.

The tikka marsala wrap with the sauce was really good but it had a kick. My poor friend who doesnt eat spicy food was in for a shocker. Her tandoori chicken sandwich with fries was spicy. Next time we have to figure which items are not spicy.

The parathas taste stale and hard. Phirani is the worst ever. Lamb Ghost is tangy. I am surprised this restaurant has a Michelin rating.

I was traveling through San Jose and found this restaurant food was excellent! Food tasted really good! They are carry out only! Still good was that good that I would definitely recommend people to try them! Good job Zareen’s keep it up.

Liked the food but would have been better if they had in door seating. Did not like the paneer texture in any items we ordered. Not sure if that was a one time thing. Other dishes were excellent!

Zareen’s really is as good as you’ve heard. Yes — the service is minimal, the restrooms are to be avoided, and the lines are usually long … but the food comes fast and, most importantly, the food is really good. The meat-entrées can compete well with what I’ve tasted in the famous shops of old Delhi, and that’s saying something.

Chicken Silver spoon paratha roll was epic. The best roll I've had outside the subcontinent. Flaky paratha and packed with delicious kebab 🥙 thank you for such lipsmacking food.

Some important things to note about this location of Zareen's: It's takeout style so all your food comes in Togo containers. You order on a kiosk so you can't really customize some things like spice level. The only human interaction you get it when they call your name to come get your food. There's also NO bathroom. I'm not sure how that's particularly legal but is a pretty big inconvenience. Also the few outdoor tables that are there (no indoor tables at all) tend to be really dirty. The food though is pretty good, definitely more on the sweeter side. Pretty decent portions for the thali/meal. We would definitely go to the other 2 Zareen's locations again, probably not this one.

The two best dishes are Gola Kabab and Chapli Kabab. Gola kabab is a ball of finely minced meat with traditional Indian spices infused in it and cooked. Chapli Kabab is a meat patty with Indian spices and cooked like a burger patty. The Gola Kabab, if made into a patty, is very much like Gilouti Kabab which was a dish enjoyed by the Mughal royalty in India. These two dishes are what makes Zareen really stand out. Wish they made Tadka Dal with yellow split pigeon peas (toor dal) instead of split chickpea lentils (chana dal). Would have given 5 stars if they had this great accompaniment for their fine meat dishes.

It’s a tiny place you go in and order and they have few tables outside and a tiny patio to use when you want to eat your food right there, food is not bad but I have tried better places for sure. I think I still come back if I’m in the area

Great Indian/Pakistani food in Mountain View. Very tasty and flavourful! A bit too spicy for my liking. Would recommend their lamb gosht (lamb stew), grilled chicken boti sizzler and beef chapli kebab sizzler!

No seating, slightly long wait times but decent food. Would recommend coming here only if you order beforehand for a quick pickup and the California Avenue location if you want to sit down. Food-wise it tastes pretty much the same across the locations.

Excellent experience at Zareen’s in Mountain View! A little chaotic ordering since you stand in a line, order at the kiosk/desk, and then find a table, but that’s only because they’re so popular, and for good reason. The food was amazingly delicious and the staff were all so nice and hardworking. I will definitely come again and check out their other locations.

The food was pretty good. Less heat than I expected, but still tasty. There are no tables inside, so it's all take out/outside tables. There are maybe 4 small tables right outside the door and a picnic style bench over towards Hon Sushi. When we were there, the small tables had burning hot table tops because they were made from a black stone (there were sun umbrellas but only half of the table was shaded), and the picnic bench was a bit windy.

My first time having Pakistani food. Everything was delicious. I ordered to-go. (It's a very small space with beautiful, unique artwork.) Close to freeway.
