I would usually say this is a good office,but these wait times to even make an appointment is infuriating! Tried to make my daughter an appointment and it was terrible,Didn't get help till the next day because I called the nurses station instead and they had to call and make an appointment with another doctor! Now my son needs a visit and can't get through and his depends on him getting his medicine or not! Yes,I have waited over 45 mins on hold to just hang up,and yes I did call at different times of the day! I still can't get through! So I'm here to vent to see if anyone else is currently going through this

I switched from the E. Exchange location due to our pediatrician leaving this facility and I couldn't be more pleased! Dr. Levine is FABULOUS. Extremely thorough courteous and friendly with the children. The office is also an upgrade.

Totally useless most of the time. 90% the the time they can never get you in. They ask you to wait 3 days and even more when your kid is sick. Most times since I cant get in here I have to go to the emergency room and a doctor will diagnose my son quickly and get his antibiotics rolling. Not only can you not get in this "golden" Dr. Office 90% of the time but you cant even get them to answer the phone. I gave up after waiting on hold for over 54 minutes because I had another appointment, one time in 54 minutes someone came on the line took some information and put me back on hold. Totally useless!. When you can never get in the doctor's office or even get them on the phone then you basically have a doctor but you dont have a doctor. My son has been sick 6 days now and the most we got out of them was a few emails and they suspected he had step throat based on our description and wanted to diagnose him through email or an online virtual visit. Useless morons! The hospital ER staff laughed when I told them this and you cant DIAGNOSE strep throat by email or online, he needs to physically be seen and tested. They swabbed his mouth and performed the test and we knew the results before leaving the hospital, he was negative and diagnosed with something else. Thank goodness a real doctor performed real test. Had I let this office do their "online diagnosis" he could have been wrongly diagnosed with something taking medication for something else!. Thanks for nothing again!. I'm looking for a new pediatrician asap because this is a repeating process with these people and 54 minutes on the phone and still not gotten through to have my questions answered. The hospital diagnosed him NOT this doctor and was also ordered to follow up with his doctor but cant even do that because of the phone situation. Worthless doctors office. Go to this pediatrician if you want one that you cant get in 90% of the time, wait 54 minutes on the phone and have to disconnect the call or want an "virtual online diagnosis or visit". Good luck!.

I have been trying to get my daughter in to see her Dr for 2 days now and today when I called the lady on the phone hung up on me! I understand they are busy and probably stressed out but that is not the term for good caring healthcare! She was super rude to me and didn't care about my concern for my daughters health needs. There is a lack of professionalism when it comes to the face of this office. I wasn't mad when she hung up, I was disgusted. I'm glad the Dr's at this office are professional and kind but the front office needs a cleanup! UPDATE: Someone did contact me about my concern and is looking into the issue. Thank you Sam. I did have to take my daughter to Medina to see my primary dr but they did welcome her with open arms to be a new patient. As it turns out my daughter did have fluid behind her ear and needed antibiotics. It took my dr 5 MINUTES to diagnose and treat the problem. My daughter is happy and I feel much better knowing she'll be feeling better in the next day or two. My anxiety is gone. I'm sorry Akron Children's could not help her in her time of medical need though.

* updating because they did reach out to me and helped change the no show to a cancellation. I’m no way did I mean to bash, I just wanted to show my concern for the canceling system and mychart issues for this reason in the future because again, i know offices are much more busy now that we have a pandemic upon us. Dr. Perinne is our favorite doctor their. She is amazing at her job and literally the only reason why I won’t switch offices. The pandemic has caused more frequent visits I’m sure which is why phone lines are backed up. But my review is because my daughter was marked as a no show for an appointment I couldn’t cancel because you can’t cancel it on her mychart since it was the day before and literally no one answers the phone. So o sat on hold forever to cancel and no one answered so she was marked as a no show. I even sent a message explaining this to her doctor. There needs to be a better system because that was ridiculous.

We absolutely love this office. Our primary doctor is Dr Perrine and she always listens to our concerns and cares for my son the best that she can. If she doesn't have the answer or resources, she provides the appropriate referrals. We have also seen Dr. Eggleston, Dr. Levine, and Dr. Shookman for sick visits and we have loved them all!

I absolutely love Dr Shookman & Dr Eggleston. My 18 month old daughter is very unsure of people and takes a lot for her to warm up to people but she was having some GI issues and ear issues. Dr Eggleston took the time to warm up to her then she played a game where she would check my daughters favorite stuffed rabbits ears, then would check her ears and this made my daughter so happy and let Dr E do the entire exam with only smiles. I was so truly impressed. She also was the first doctor to actually further investigate my daughters GI issues and get to the bottom of things and not dismiss them. Dr Shookman has always been amazing with my son and he loves going to see both doctors but dr Shookman has taken time on many occasions to discuss different questions I had. They’re both such great people and doctors! I moved an hour away from their clinic but still make the drive every time.

I can not say enough about Dr. Shookman. She is truly a gem that I've been looking for for years. What kind of Doctor is so great that even after receiving shots my kids can't wait to go back and see her. Dr. Shookman is that kind of Doctor, that's who. It's truly a weight off my shoulders to have a Doctor that is easy to talk to and understands my concerns.
