If you care about your money, your son/daughter, or your mental health, DO NOT LIVE HERE. This might be a little long to read but it contains a lot of important information. I have lived here for 2 years. At first, it was ok, rent was pretty cheap ($810) for the location and how modern it is, and water was included in the rent. The only downside was that the parking lot was extremely far away. This summer, they got rid of their very good security team to hire someone for cheaper. For maybe a month they had no security and the parking lot was super unsafe, my friend and I almost got carjacked. Then, they added reserved parking spots in the already super distant parking lot, for $75 per month!! And they are adding more. The apartment complex nextdoor is charging $50 and their parking lot is right outside the building. They are also not covered and there have been car break ins in the lot. Water is no longer included in the rent and is VERY high for an apartment that size, my roommates and I were specifically careful with how much water we used yet it was still super high. I never had to interact with the leasing office staff until this year and I have never seen such incompetence in my life. Beware, if you are not planning on living with someone you know, they might place you in with someone that is a threat to your safety. As that is what happened to me and my roommates. We were placed with this person who had an unregistered pet in the apartment and was hiding it from the manager. This pet brought fleas into the apartment (from the path behind the building which is never mowed) and infested our pets with fleas, we had to pay for the damages. They violated their own lease. This person also had personal relationships with the maintenance worker, brought him into our apartment very often, drank with him (the roommate is underage, he isn't), he also showed inappropriate photos of himself to my roommates. The manager, Jaime, stated he was no longer allowed into our apartment, yet he would be let in by my roommate late at night. I expressed my concerns to the manager about this issue. The roommate already had a personal vendetta against us, so we were scared. The maintenance worker had claimed that he had access to security cameras, keys to all apartments, and rooms. The manager and her assistant listened to my complaints but nothing was done. Another day, her assistant decided to talk about me and joke about my concerns with other employees, while I was in there!! Guess what? To my knowledge, they all still work there. My roommates and I would constantly be in the leasing office to tell the manager, Jaime, and the leasing manager, Aaron about these issues. Nothing was EVER done. The roommate had violated the lease an excessive amount of times and she was still allowed to live with us. The leasing manager, Aaron, told me and my roommates that he was scared to evict her because he had violated some rules regarding to how many pets he allowed in our apartment and because "she might throw him under the bus and get him fired". I have never felt so unsafe. The roommate was then transferred to another unit where she could hide the illegal pet comfortably. The manager continued to act like it is not an issue. The roommate also befriended the security staff and could park her boyfriend's vehicle in the courtyard, where anyone else would get towed. The maintenance worker slapped a towing sticker on my friend's car and called a tow truck while she was parked in retail , while getting tropical smoothie. There clearly are preferences here and I couldn't comfortably live in my OWN APARTMENT. I did a lease takeover, it took them over a week to properly process all the information. They had to send the lease 3 times because it was inaccurate, trying to charge the person moving into my room more money than me. I could not get in contact with the manager to talk to her about this and the other people working in the office are useless. I wish I could give 0 stars. I am not including my name in this review due to safety reasons.

While I was never a resident here, based upon first impressions and my experience as a guest I can tell you that University Edge is NOT a good place to live. I stayed as a guest of a resident/friend every now and then throughout the last year, and my friend paid way too much to live here. University Edge likes to claim that they offer luxury amenities, but stainless steel and a fresh coat of paint do not hide cheaply thrown together apartments. Property staff (office management and security) are nothing short of rude and incompetent. I have a fairly recognizable vehicle, and because of this the office staff were under the presumption that I was a resident at University Edge. When picking up food from Tropical Smoothie, they took the liberty to act upon their assumptions and place a tow sticker on my vehicle and call a tow truck. After confronting the office staff, and even offering my information, my food receipt, and the lease to my own apartment to disprove their claims of my UE residency, they denied any wrongdoing and claimed that one of the retail businesses must have been responsible. When I asked staff at each of the retail businesses if they were able to put tow stickers on vehicles, they told me no and that they don't even possess tow stickers. If they had taken one minute to look up my vehicle information, they would have been able to see that I never have been (and never will be) a resident here. However, as I've seen in other instances, their staff are unprofessional and have no accountability for their incompetence. They are money hungry and tow hungry, to the point where you cannot even visit the local area without having to worry about your vehicle. Please do not encourage their antics by living here, let alone touring here. Side note, Goo Gone and straight edge work wonders on tow stickers.

I would.not recommend this apartment building for your students. The made up fees are ridiculous and unfair to say the least. My daughter’s apartment had damage to one of the doors that was never fixed. Parking is far and unsafe. There was no camera system installed to monitor what goes on in that parking lot. My daughter’s car was hit and no camera to account for the cause. What if an assault occurs?! It’s ridiculous that our kids feel unsafe knowing this and having a far walk to their room. Management is unobtainable! Be smart and find a safer apartment with no hidden fees.

I would not recommend this apartment complex. Terrible management that does not return phone calls or email. The WiFi was terrible the entire year, the ethernet ports never worked in the bedrooms the entire year. Not enough bike racks, first bike locked and stolen anyway. Second bike smashed up in the bike racks. Parking is god awful. They charge you for ridiculous things upon move out. How do you estimate utilities the last month and it was more than the entire year. Rent is high and increasing this year. Never again

Charged me an outrageous amount ($150) for damages based on typical paint wear and tear of a year of living in the apartment. We also painted over the slight discoloration with the same color paint (told to us by management) as the walls. They completely disregarded any of our complaints in the dispute form until we took it upon ourselves to call the general manager. Management didn’t listen to any of the complaints and had their mind made up on the decision before hearing what we had to say. Overall, very disappointed in how they handled things after a relatively nice time living there for the year.

I have lived here for 3 years now and have had more problems in these last couple months than I have in my entire stay here. Parking is a nightmare: they implemented 40 reserve parking spots that were decided in the worst possible way. It was off a “first come first basis” on whoever signed up first after receiving an email that the spots were available. I was able to secure a spot on the website and then a couple days later they told me it was a glitch and I actually didn’t get a spot because someone beat me to it a couple seconds? The spots were being removed off the website as they filled up so it is simply impossible for multiple people to select the same parking spot and not fair at all for the people, like me, that thought they had a spot and now don’t. Additionally, the management here has simply become unorganized and unprofessional. It requires multiple attempts to contact them regarding issues, and even when you do get in contact with them, every new individual you speak to says something different. Likewise, they will tell you “I am going to speak with my manager and give you a call back”, and will never follow up with you again. It is ridiculous the amount of times I’ve been told this sentence and never received a call back for weeks, and I had to call them back to see the status of my request and it still was unresolved. I understand that all apartment complexes have their flaws but these are issues that can be easily resolved and it is clear that the management doesn’t care.

I would not recommend living here. I’ve been here since mid august and for multiple occasions the wifi was out for up to 5 days at a time. At one point, I was there for 4 weeks and the wifi was out for 13 days. This is not ideal for college students who have online meetings, interviews and exams. The wifi also goes out anytime it rains or snows. It’s now the weekend before finals and the wifi is out again, with the leasing office unavailable to help until monday. AT&T requires the leasing office to call them to fix the wifi and refuses to help residents with this issue. The parking situation is not ideal, and taking away 40 parking spaces with a ‘24 hr notice to move your vehicle with threat of towing’. The 24hr notice was actually less than 6hr. There’s not many security cameras at all except inside the building, and there’s almost no light from the parking lot to one of the doors. When I toured here, I was previously frustrated with how frequently one of my old apartment complexes ‘had’ to enter. So i asked how many times they require entry and they said ‘we only enter for fire inspections and to take an inventory of furniture we need to replace so twice’. They have entered twice in the last 6 weeks and plan to do so a few more times in the coming months. I’ve lived at other apartments closer to campus for much cheaper, with better parking and better wifi. The selling point here is the amenities. I’m giving an extra star for the leasing office agents because most of them really seem like they try their best to help but often times the situation is out of their control. The After-hours line is also very helpful.

My son has lived here for two years and completely enjoys his apartment, roommates, location and office staff. Aaron in the front office was absolutely amazing with my son's new lease and making things happen!! He took the time to call back after hours to make sure things were in place!! Aaron makes things happen for sure and was so kind and considerate as he worked with us!! Great staff and great place!!
