Excellent food, bar and selection of wine. We had great service.

Excellent from beginning to end. Polite person I spoke to on the phone before arriving. Gracious manager greeted us and sat us at a table with a view of the entire restaurant. Martha, our waitress, was very polite and informed. She helped us celebrate my friends birthday. Yummy carrot cake. It was our first time visiting and it will not be our last. We have to explore the menu.

I had the chicken with poblano strips. The chicken breast was rubbery. We ordered a southwestern Caesar salad that said it had Parmesan in it. But no it didn’t. Plus it had very little black beans and corn mixture in it. The quality of the food and ingredients have gone downhill at this restaurant. If we hadn’t bed. In a hurry to catch a movie I would have sent the entire dinner back to the kitchen.

Ok first visit ever here. Beautifully unique ambiance. We ordered the onion tower which surprised me when I bit down on a deep fried poblano pepper. It was really good. The shrimp pasta was a little dry but near the bottom i finally got to the sun-dried tomatoes & mushrooms and wished i started there!!! So i would rate this meal a 4.5 - and the service a 6 out of 5. Noel was helpful and a joy. My spouse loved the cedar plank salmon. Nice job The Raven Grill, I will nevermore skip this spot when driving by.

This local place was amazing both for the great food, as well as the service provided. Our server, Luke, was very patient with us and had good recommendations. The ambiance was very calm which made our dinner very pleasant. Parking is available on-site and they accept major credit cards.

The Raven Grill will certainly be one of our favorite restaurants in the Rice Village area. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The food was excellent! We started with the smoked salmon deviled eggs and wow they were greMy husband had the meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. I had the cedar plank salmon with the potatoes and spinach. We had the carrot cake for desert. Everything was sooooo good. The service was professional and friendly. The restaurant was clean. We will definitely be back next time we're in Houston. Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.

We say outside on the cute rustic patio. While there were a few cars flying down the road in front, for the most part, it was pleasant. Our waitperson suggested several entrees, two of which we chose: the pecan crusted chicken and the shrimp enchiladas. Each order came with set sides that perfectly complimented the main dish. The servings were not the usual Texas-sized portions, for which we were grateful. A return trip is in our future!

My partner and I had our date here, and it was AMAZING. The staffs were so nice, the place is very commendable, and the foods were absolutely delicious! We had the pot roast. And definitely a 5 out of 5 for me. We also had the carrot cake and a few wine. I like the choice of wine. Definitely would come back here .

My family and I went here after my sons graduation ceremony. Food was absolutely delicious!! Everyone had a great time and the service was great !!! Thank You.

My love and I had our first visit to this establishment this evening. I have to start this review by saying if we could give 3.5 stars we would because it’s not really a 3 or 4. It was after 6:30 so we were able to be seated right away. The wine list is not huge but it had wine we each liked. The restaurant was more than half full, and they were serving a large group at the time, so service started slow but all in all it was acceptable. I ordered the salmon steak with spinach and sweet potatoes but was also given garlic mashed potatoes even though it wasn’t part of the meal. I can say my plate was delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The spinach was very tasty and both potatoes were yummy. Unfortunately, my husband’s plate was not so great. He ordered the poblano chicken and it was slightly over cooked and the flavors were not as robust as he would have liked. It had some grilled veggies that were tasty but the herbed rice was a little dry. Our evening ended on a disappointing note. We ordered the vanilla creme brûlée and as a pastry chef I couldn’t eat it. It was over cooked and too large for our preference. They offered to remake it but as we were not wanting to wait we just left it as is. My husband also ordered an espresso but what he got was basically a sip of espresso. The cup wasn’t even halfway full. We have a pretty long drive home so we had to go. We’re still not sure if we want to visit again so we’ll see since this is conveniently near our office.

My wife took me on a date night the other night, and I was so happy she chose this place. We were greeted by a friendly, smiling hostess, then led to a nice table near the back. Fresh bread was delivered to the table (cranberry nut bread was insane) I ordered the pasta with grilled shrimp, pretty basic right? Nope! The flavor layers were insane! You could taste the char on the shrimp and the pasta was good to perfection. My wife had the fried catfish with mash potatoes and the batter was light and flaky the potatoes were creamy and delicious. I highly recommend Raven grill for any occasion!

Fabulous find in the Rice area! Lovely, quiet dinner with very friendly and helpful staff. The brie was amazing! The red fish special was tasty and well presented. Reasonable prices and a good selection of dishes to choose from. Parking is a breeze! For once, you don't have to scramble to find a place to park - there seems to be plenty of space in the lot (visited midweek).

One of my favorite restaurants! Every chance we get is either lunch or dinner, we choose this restaurant. Food is delicious, service has not change at all! Top-notch! Clean, cozy and staff is always, always soooo friendly! Thank you ya'll. See you soon!

You are in the right place here if you're looking for a quiet place to eat dinner where you can talk with your friends and get excellent food. The prices are reasonable for the kind of food and level of service. It was 20 to $30 per person including taxes and tip. I don't drink so I cannot comment on the drink menu. If you want to be in the fresh air you can elect to sit outside on the patio. The food is well cooked, reasonably spiced and well presented. There was so much food that I could not eat dessert but the menu looked appealing. In short, I would not hesitate to recommend it and I believe that you like it there. Bon appetit.

Great service, really good food with unique twists on old favorites. The brie was outstanding, and I loved the trout. It had a sweet glaze and when paired with the lentils...wow. Definately on our list to visit again!

Good food. 3-1/2 stars. I had the grilled chicken salad. The chicken was unexpectedly cold (they never advertised it as hot). More importantly the chicken was dry; however the salad dressing was good and made it tastier. I usually eat the tuna salad chicken salad and pasta salad but it contains more mayo than I wanted The pesto pasta was good. Good selection of ice teas and soft drinks. Can eat outside. Wheelchair accessible.

Low key on the outside, elegant on the inside. New place (to me) in my old stomping grounds around Rice. Food was perfect and original. I had the Redfish grilled with green beans and sauteed spinach. The Redfish was great off the grill, the spinach was the best I've had since that steakhouse in downtown St. Louis. Wish I had room for desert, sounded yummy. Sadly long drive home, so no tastings off the wine list. Oh, also, the patio is way cool and dog friendly. Fall is right around the corner-ish. Highly recommend food, service and atmosphere.

Casual atmosphere, great food, reasonable prices -- a local favorite for over ten years. Also, our server Maddy was terrific. Highly recommended.

The Raven Grill …. The best! I was by myself and was fortunate to have Michael at the bar to keep me company. He had great recommendations and one was the cedar plank salmon… wow… was it great!! I then met a wonderful new friend who also enjoyed the salmon. It was a super evening!! Highly recommended and will be back!! 😎👍
