We were told happy hour started at 6:30 so we decided to go an have a couple of drinks but when i asked for my tab we were told no beer for happy hour only mixed drinks???? 3.25 for a beer is kinda high beer joint.

So, hate to say but this place is alil overhyped. Quick summary: nice location, the music was decent, and the food good (recommend the lemon pepper wings if you try anything). Overall though, for a first time, the experience and cost was not worth it. Parking was $40 for the lot out front. If you want to walk it's a $20 lot further down. It cost $260 ($40 for female and $60 for males) to get in. The front door ppl failed to tell us the difference in prices/ service, supposedly we were in the "fast line" so make sure ya'll ask. If you want a table/ to sit, you have to pay an additional $200+ or atleast that's what they got us for. Mind you that doesn't come with a bottle, a shot, special service, nada. I will say the hostess did well. They were attentive and checked on us so no worries about that.

Nice hole in the wall. Real chill and an older crowd, so you can expect to have a good time. My wife and I like this place because we can come as we are, listen to good music and get our beer in cans.

Such a great place. I have a great time when I visit. Live music is always great. And the staff well the ones I have had the pleasure of meeting are great and friendly. The owner is a sweet women. If you have any complaints take it up with her she’ll fix it.. but I’ve never had any complaints.

This place is a hole in the wall bar. They have good drinks specials on different days but their variety of drinks is limited. Smoking is allowed inside so you end up stinking like cigarettes when you leave. Otherwise, it’s a cool and chill place to hang out. When they have live music though, the place is quite lively. The bartenders are very sociable and welcoming.

Horrible service! Went there once and never again. Bartender had the worst attitude I’ve ever dealt with in any business I’ve been to.

Ive been coming jere for awhile always had a good time BUT when I come in and the bartender says you gotta buy food in order to buy beer and then 5 other people come in and she doesn't say nothing to them about buying food before getting a beer NO thats not right .I Will NOt be GOING back there again.and we spend money lots of money plus bring people with us NOT any more see ya

It's a great place to hang out and listen to live bands and the people that show up have a wonderful time by the time they leave for home and plus the bartenders are hospitable to say the least and everyone is cordially welcomed there #!!!!!!!!!!!

Valet stole out of multiple cars. Were aggressive and rude!!! Don’t go here cuz your stuff will be stolen !

if you book a band that brings in a good crowd,..you should be better prepared.nobody likes waiting in line forever only to be served by a bartender that's frustrared cause there's so many ppl trying to get a drink.

I had such a great time at the playground watching 'Jammin Jeff Ferrier' rock the house for 4 hours and then dance for four more the place and the people were wonderful \,,/

One thing for sure Sunday at the Playground is Funday! Vibes and Atmosphere is chill. Gotta hand it to the Band! They got a cool jam set. All kinds of good music. Sweet Child of mine was on point! Got me on Dance Floor bumping and grinding even with my hip replacement I tore it up. Outdoor patio is a very nice plus.

Perfect place to go in the south side to cheat on your husband where I live in the north side of Houston
