Fantastic experience . Close to nature and one can witness the greatest flora of all times . So beautifully maintained and neat and clean. You can have a glimpse of many tropical birds. This has cafes and botanical centres dedicated to certain plants species

Really nice way to spend our last day of our Adelaide trip. Good range of plants to see and great ideas for back home. We really enjoyed the museum, the plants, people area and the huge rose garden.

The garden is so beautiful. The glass structure, something like cottage, all these structures looks amazing. They have created something like rain forest inside that glass building. It was a really good experience to walk around there. The small pond inside the glass building has a beautiful fish. I would definitely recommend to go and visit this place.

Such a lovely place to take a walk and unwind. Love visiting the Diggers Club when coming into the gardens too. Would highly recommend anyone who hasn't visited to check it out.

What a beautiful place to visit! The Botanic Gardens is free to enter and is conveniently located on the free tram route. We spent a good 2-3 hours there and only touched on the surface of what the gardens has to offer. Definitely a place that warrants multiple trips to really appreciate. There’s a variety of areas to see including everything from a rose garden to a succulent garden to a conservatory with ferns and other tropical plants. The site is really well maintained and has ample areas to sit and just relax. There’s multiple paths throughout the place, so I’d recommend having a map to help you navigate (unfortunately, though there are signposts indicating different sites, they don’t have nearly enough maps posted throughout the gardens). Overall, great place to visit! One of the best Botanical Gardens we’ve seen in Australia!

The Botanic Gardens in Adelaide are a true oasis. Beautifully landscaped gardens with majestic avenues and breathtaking architecture in the heart of the city. Many individual areas provide information about a wide variety of plants in Australia and from other countries. The rose garden is particularly popular here with roses that have adapted to the hot climate of Australia. Highly recommended!

Our visit to Adelaide Botanical Gardens was a delightful escape into nature's beauty. The meticulously landscaped gardens showcased a stunning variety of flora. The serene atmosphere provided a peaceful retreat, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll or a moment of contemplation. The proximity to the city center added convenience, making this botanical haven a must-visit for both locals and visitors seeking a brief respite in the heart of Adelaide.

Beautiful gardens! It was incredibly quiet when I was there too (mid-afternoon weekday) which meant it was very peaceful. The gardens are so well maintained and fantastically green. They're a great place to walk through or spend an afternoon relaxing.

An excellent place to visit and explore, among other things, the diversity of plants, trees and animals. It is free too! A great day to spend time with friends, family or just by yourself in a relaxing manner whilst getting some good exercise. Tip: Visit on any Sunday and likely surrounding car parks are free.

I've always loved the Botanical Garden- so nice to have such an amazing free space for relaxing and educating yourself on some awesome history and amazing plants. Had an extra great experience seeing the corpse flower that bloomed a few months ago. Obviously very long line on the day, but volunteers and staff were amazing and I met some great people in line! Once at the flower, I got to spend a good bit of time seeing it and didn't feel rushed. So glad we have this amazing garden in Adelaide!

As botanic garden go, The Adelaide one is quite small so it has to make the most of the available space and it does. It is planted densely and manages to incorporate patches of closed forest, formal, English and modern gardens, tree lined avenues and lakes. There are historic, classical buildings and also modern ones, tastefully separated by vegetation so they don't clash. Every time we visit I discover something new and I have a favourite place at every corner. Edit: Winter sunshine brings different views.

Small but charming gardens, they have so much to offer. For example, please make sure you visit Museums and exhibitions, particularly the economic botany house, you will learn a lot about how and what plants contributed to our human economy, see unique specimens. There are several dedicated sections for different plants, conifers, giant waterlilies, Dahlia garden is lovely as well. Good option for a warm afternoon.

So many different displays and groups of plants. Lots of picnic areas. A full day of exploring is needed. Fabulous way to spend the day with children, adults or to wander alone. Make sure you stay for golden hour, the dappled light shining through the greenery matched with bird song is truly amazing 🥰

Great way to kill a few hours. We paid to go into the rainforest and photography exhibition which was Amazing. There's so many cool little secret gardens and pathways. You could get lost for hours. It would be a beautiful place for a wedding. So happy we went

Nice botanic gardens to walk around. Came on a really sunny day so I wish there was more shade. Exhibits also acted as a greenhouse so it was really suffocating inside. But overall, interesting and good to spend a few minutes enjoying nature there.

What a splendid park. Gorgeous array of flora, the park is welcoming and boasts many Australian plants. Great way to spend time in the city if you're looking for change from the iron jungle - best part is it's free!

Went for illuminate event resonate and never walked thru botanic Gardens before, but so much to see around every corner and so many fun living green things to walk thru and past in this living world, it was alive during the spectacular illuminate event and all the walking didn't seem so bad with everything to check out!

We are from South Africa, so to go to a place that's free entrance and beautiful and serene is a massive plus. The fact it's near the city center, zoo and Adelaide Oval is even better

If staying in the CBD it is nice to visit. We visited in winter and it had a different character. I believe it will be nicer in spring.

One of the best places someone can have a relaxing walking time in the green city of Adelaide. It’s worthy to take your time and check the details and the small signs on the ground giving information about the plants and the history of the place.

There are variety of plants in here and you can picnic or just walking around to see many different kinds of plants and taking photos. It's best to come here on sunny day, and if you come here near the end of winter the weather is still pretty chill so you'll not feel hot

I visited this garden on 20 November, 2016. Enjoyed the beautiful scenery a lot. The garden is so big you hardly meet people. I freely took pictures and no body bothered me. That is the best thing about Australia; laid back. That's why I call Australia a civilised country.

Lovely way to spend the day. Some areas need a bit of work though. The health garden was fairly sparse and looked pretty thirsty.

🌿 Exploring Adelaide Botanical Garden on this drizzly Sunday is a serene escape into nature's embrace. The air is crisp, and a gentle drizzle adds a touch of magic to the experience. 🌧️ Amidst the clouds, the Rose Garden stands as a vibrant oasis, with a stunning array of roses in full bloom. 🌹 Each variety tells a unique story, painting the garden with hues that range from delicate pinks to deep reds. 🎨 Take a leisurely stroll, inhale the sweet fragrance, and let the beauty of nature unfold in every petal. #AdelaideBotanicalGarden #SundayStroll #RoseGardenMagic

Adelaide Botanic Garden is a free park. The environment inside is very beautiful and quiet. Amazon Waterlily, tropical rain forest, International Rose Garden and National Rose Trial Garden, Museum of Economic Botany, First Creek Wetland are distinctive and many various gardens inside. There are plenty of parking spaces around, only Sundays are free. Next to the botanical garden are the State Herbarium of South Australia, National Wine Centre of Australia, Adelaide Zoo and other places worth visiting.

Love the gardens, it's my favourite place to get lost in and I've taken my camera to get some nice shots too. There's maps and stuff but unless you don't want to miss anything, I recommend just wondering for the experience. It's so cool that there's different buildings like greenhouses or museums inside that you can learn a lot too. Pictured are some of the beautiful things you can find here

Spend an hour or all day here. Great meals at the kiosk overlooking the water. Brilliant gardens with many places to hide and read a book or simply watch the surroundings

Free entry accessible by public transport from Adelaide city. We went there on an extremely hot day in summer and there was enough shade that we stayed cool and enjoyed the visit. It's fairly small compared to some other state's botanic gardens. Worth a visit if you are looking for somewhere quiet to sit with your thoughts or lay back and watched the clouds go by. Relaxing.

It's a beautiful and serene place to visit. The wildlife is gorgeous and the plants and water features are stunning. It's very peaceful and calming and definitely worth a visit. I've been here so many times and I still adore it as much as I did the first time 😊

What beautiful trees and rare plants! Canals, bridges and shady places to eat. Everything is maintained well. The conservatory was spectacular. We want to go back soon and complete it. Tradies, boost your local work without advertising. © 2021 Paul Johnson missingpiecemarketing.com.au

If you visit, I recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. A tranquil place to relax and unwind. The gardens are always well maintained. Whenever I want to have a picnic, I always come here. There's plenty of grassy spots to choose from, as well as sheltered tables under pavilions. (I've attached a picture of my favourite picnic spot. It's near Friend's Gate, located at the garden's north).

Some amazing trees, cacti and manicured lawns. The giant Lilly pads are a must see! Too many mozzies in the toilets. Open late, great for a summer stroll

We had a wonderful experience at this huge park. Loved everything about this park: easy to reach and navigate around. I wish there were more cafes and restaurants, though. But otherwise, there’s plenty outside the park especially at Rundle mall.

Great place to stay cool & take your time in warmer weather. So much variety in plants and great place to have family gatherings. Weddings etc are held here and option to hire restaurant . I've added a few pics I've taken in the last year... Paid parking on Plane Tree Drive which also leads to The Adelaide Zoo and parklands adjacent. There is free parking on the weekends.

Always a pleasure coming here, even when a lot of people are present you find places of calm. Such a range of plant species and experiences. I think it would be great if they had plant common names first then scientific name.

Went to illuminate light show. It was beautifully done. Great to see and experience. Would be good if kids, seniors and students were cheaper. $40 is a lot for those groups. However it was excellent and loved it. I went on the 5th anniversary of my Mum's passing and it made me feel so peaceful instead of the usual anxious and sad.

Absolutely awesome night out at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens. We visited for the Illuminate, Light Cycles. The lightning and sound display was just so well put together. Totally blown away by the presentation and it was really great to see the Gardens, plants and trees lit up at night. This is a MUST.

Definitely worth a visit! Located near the city centre and easily accessible. Plenty of parking available nearby. Relaxing walks in natural scenery that will keep you busy for a while! The bicentennial conservatory has rainforest plants, there is also a Victorian glasshouse and other interesting things to see! Some wildlife is also present like ducks and many turtles in the lake! You can grab a drink and some food at the cafe.

I recently visited the Adelaide Botanical Garden and was thoroughly impressed by the beauty and tranquility of the place. The gardens are well-maintained and feature a diverse range of plant species, including exotic flowers, towering trees, and peaceful ponds. One of the highlights of my visit was the Bicentennial Conservatory, a stunning glasshouse that is home to a vast array of tropical plants. The humidity and warmth inside the conservatory provided a welcome respite from the outside world, and I found myself completely lost in the beauty of the plants and flowers that surrounded me. Another highlight was the Palm House, which features a wide variety of palms and other tropical plants. The Palm House has a spacious and airy feel, and I spent a long time wandering through the aisles, admiring the different plants and trying to identify them. Overall, I would give the Adelaide Botanical Garden a solid five stars. It's a wonderful place to relax, unwind, and reconnect with nature. Whether you're a seasoned horticulturalist or just someone looking to enjoy a peaceful day out, the Adelaide Botanical Garden is definitely worth a visit.

Gorgeous gardens with spacious walking trails among Aussie flora. Love the way there are tall trees planted strategically alongside the trails to give shade to visitors even at sunny noon time! If you need help, follow the signage to the Visitor Information shop. Friendly staff to assist you. You can also buy gardening materials and various plants to spruce up your own garden at Diggers Garden shop. Access to these gardens is easiest by tram (yellow line), with a short 3-min walk from the tram stop (Botanic Gardens).

I loved it🤩! It’s a fantastic place to get to know nature, fresh air or just to have a walk or a picnic. I recommend wearing sunscreen and comfy shoes. It’s very well located, around there you can find more distractions such as the gallery or museums.

A sensational garden! Very well planned, lots of variety and we loved the little tracks through the trees! Well signed, lots of amusement and surprise and birds galore. We loved how many edible varieties there were too. Anyone visiting Adelaide with a few hours to kill will love this place. Also great for kids as there’s plenty of area to run about and also have a picnic. There was a special event on while we were there with big dinosaurs in the gardens and the kids seemed to be loving that!
