Crunchiest onion rings. Love them. The entree garlic bread was also tasty and very crunchy. 600g Schnitzel was less crunchy but still tasty. Paired with a yummy mushroom sauce. Fries were really addictive and crunchy too. They fry things up well here. Decent portion as well. Definitely can share between 2. Buffalo wings were also crunchy and the aioli sauce was the bomb

Snitty was really good super juicy!!! Had the mexican topping and the Earl size which is 600 grams. It was very filling and delicious. Would love to come back and have it again. I didn't touch my salad and left over half the chips as I was very full. But want to eat the good part the snitty. The building is very cool. Tucked away on a side street. But got busy as the evening went on. Small and intimate setting. Would recommend giving it a try. Update 2/4/23 I went again got the 600 grams snitty and it was massive. Struggled to eat the whole thing. Also we had a porterhouse which was cooked perfect and a good piece of meat. Again great place to go. Parking is a pain sometimes. But eh what can you do. Update 6/11/23 Had another great Mexican schnitzel, so well cooked have had really good ones evertime I eat here. Love the vibe in the bar also. Kinda dark and cool. Give it a go.

One of Adelaide's best pubs. It has character, is welcoming and the food is awesome. The 6 of us had a great night celebrating a birthday and all meals were cooked and presented perfectly. A great wine and beer selection too! Will always find a way to pop in and have a night out.

Lovely sitting area and comfortable chairs. Good selection of meals for good prices. The portion sizes are big as all good pub meals are. Only downside would be lack of table service which felt a bit at odds with the layout/setting of the restaurant.

Great atmosphere to be with friends and family. There are lots of options for food. Bit expensive but tastes really good. There is plenty of parking space around the shop, plus street parking

Upscale pub vibes. The food is amazing. Got a burger and pizza and both were delicious. Also don’t miss out on the dessert. The sticky date pudding is to die for. Great prices here for what you get. Big portions and great flavour combinations.

Great selection of beers. Busy. Good atmosphere. Wish they didn’t support gaming.

Nice family dinner place ! Schnitzel was huge. Like massive. Was eager to order 600g one but thanks to the nice girl who stopped me. The pic is only 300?g and it was so big couldn't finish it. Haha.

I've been to the Earl of Leicester a number of times with friends for dinner. Wide selection of classic English pub grub, and even though it can be busy during dinner on weekends, it's pretty spacious for catching up. My favourite dishes were the mushroom vegetarian pizza and the Shepherd's pie. I think they have a coffee/chocolate vending machine, and I will admit, I have a soft spot in my heart for the croutons from their salad bar. Good place for a real big feed, especially if you order the schnitzel, for which you'll probably need a takeaway box!

Nice hotel a little off the main road. Food was lovely. The large schnitzel is well described (it was huge - I took half of it home - staff did try to warn me haha) but it was delicious (I had the Mexican topping). You can choose the smaller option if you like. We will be back

Have always wanted to go to the Earl. You won't be disappointed. Fantastic place. Cozy. Burgers were excellent. Service was great. Really glad we dropped in. We will definitely be back. Plenty of different beers to try. A great day 🍺🍺🙂

Always enjoyed food here but haven't been for around a year. The 600gm chicken schnitzel is epic, but make sure you choose one of the various toppings - can highly recommend the sweet chilli. Pizza is great, wings are great but would have liked more sauce (Korean style is best when they are drenched in sauce but these were dry with a small amount of dipping sauce). The desserts are all lovely as well.

Nice 600g beef Schnitty with meat lovers topping!!! And yes I ate the lettuce🤭 was full after this one. Washed it down with a couple beers. Mrs had the barramundi which was nice also. Busy place on Friday night which is always a good sign if there are plenty of people around. Great diverse menu, would recommend a feed here in the back streets of Parkside.

There is a wide range of choice on the menu with reasonable prices.. My choice of Shepherds Pie with root vegetables was disappointing. No root vegetables except small diced carrot and a few peas in the mince. Flavour was insipid. Others at the table thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Those who ate the Coopers Ale Pie praised the filling and the light as air puff pastry. The fish also received a thumbs up. Desserts sounded delightful a twist on old English staple puddings. The service was polite and efficient. I would go again and try something different.

I'm a local and eat here two or three times a year. It's a lovely old English style pub that had a welcoming open fire when I arrived earlier on this chilly autumn evening. I had an eye fillet steak which was a bit chewier than usual but otherwise very tasty. My desert was excellent and the plaxce offers a good range of beers and wines. Built some 170 years ago this is a relatively small, stone-walled pub comprising several rooms on different levels. Recommended.

Great place for a feed. Always consistent in quality and flavour. Their shnitties are wonderful especially if you indulge in their array of sauces. Did I mention their fancy saucy sauces? Give it a go. Also always have a range of beers to try out. This time around, it coincided with Oktoberfest so... German Beer it is! We were well served by Afeef from Texas. Solid bloke with great service. Update: Had both the Schnitties, Kangaroo, Eye Fillet, Porterhouse and desserts. What a glorious meal. Still the best pub meal I've had in Adelaide. Definately much better than The Edinburgh.

We went for dinner while visiting Adelaide and really enjoyed our dinner. The pub itself is full of character and very interesting. My wife had the chicken schnitzel which was huge and very tasty. My cousin had a seafood pizza which had a lot of seafood on it and my cousin really enjoyed it. I had a Spanish meatball dish which was very tasty. Would definitely recommend this pub just for a drink or a meal, we will definitely visit again next time we're in Adelaide.

Amazing experience! We have never been here and had it recommended to us. I think everyone in Adelaide was there last night and now I know why!! Everything was seamless right from the booking online to the welcoming greeting upon arrival, to the ambience; the food was quick and generous portion size and delicious! The service at the bar was very thorough and helpful! We will be back! Thank you!!

Came here a few years ago on a trip from Melbourne, and I remembered the Parma. Just returned again to try the Parma. Was definitely not disappointed. You must come here for the Parma, choice of 7 or so toppings, and different sizes. A bit more expensive than normal but worth it. Chicken and Pork Parma both delicious!

Overrated. 1. The food is expensive compared to others. E.g $14 for a kid pizza and $5 for a can of coke. Smaller portion of main meals. Plus surcharge for cake service per person. 2. Poor customer service. We are customers so please speak to us nicely. Especially from the manager/boss. Thank you.

I had a really lovely lunch here today. I had the best salad I've had in a long time. It was called bang bang chicken salad with Thai dressing. Very spicey so if you don't like spice don't get. My pic doesn't do it justice half eaten lol. The onion rings with jalpeno aoli was not hot at all but steel lovely

This is my new favourite place. The food was spectacular, even the side salad. The beer on tap is awesome too! Above and beyond a normal pub!

received fantastic service during our visit for dinner on 7th December. The kids meals came out late but the waiting staff were fantastic in following up, offering free desert and checking on the kids. They were very helpful in arranging a birthday cake at our table too. Meals were lovely and everyone had a great time. The restaurant was relaxing, comfortable and not too loud. We will definitely go back.

One of the best Chicken schnitzel with Mexican topping I have ever had. Salad needed dressing on return visit today.

Went for lunch in the dining room and really enjoyed it. A good range of food, from pub grub to a little fancier and steaks. I had a Hawaiian chicken schnitzel which was huge. A better range of tap beer in the front bar, but I found something in the dining room. The carpet on the floor means it's much easier to have a conversation, and although the room was more than half full it wasn't overly noisy. Good food, good wine list and good beer. Couldn't ask for much more.

The only place I have found in Australia that knows how to do a quality scotch egg. Also has a proper old school pub vibe. Unmissable in my opinion.

Great traditional English pub with friendly atmosphere and a roaring fireplace. Food was brilliant, but would avoid the schnitzel - was too dry. Bit tricky to get a drink at the long bar, but selection was worth the wait.

Good sized and crispy chicken schnitty. Was a little under seasoned though. Would come again.

  • 4/5 Anthony K. 9 months ago on Google
Absolutely loved it. The food was a large portion and this was the 300 GM chicken. Very dense and very tasty. Everything accompanying the plate was tasty, crispy and well done. The service was very quick. It is ade to order but was there in fifteen minutes or less . The atmosphere is lovely with almost all tables taken. One actually has to book in advance..

Highly recommend the Sunday Roast! I appreciate that it comes with Yorkshire pudding, as it should! They have a good range of upscale pub food and a nice interior.

  • 5/5 Sophie M. 1 year ago on Google
A great spot for Sunday roast. The Yorkshire pudding was perfect and not dry. We had one of each meat and they were all good but pork was the best. Make a booking if you want to sit in the quiet dining room but the atmosphere by the fire in the bar is better.

Ate in the restaurant for the first time recently and was blown away by the delicious food. My partner's steak was so tender and cooked exactly to requested doneness and the lamb rump with pickled green beans and spiced eggplant and fetta brique was sublime. I'd never had a fetta brique before but it accompanied the lamb perfectly. Can't wait to go back.

Had lunch on a Saturday with 2 friends and The Earl was very quiet. Was surprised buy the size of the dining room. Started will coffee ☕ - it was good. Plenty of options on the menu including daily specials. I ordered a chicken Parm, it comes with 2 options of small or large. Ordered small and it was huge! Salmon and a kangaroo fillet was enjoyed by my friends. Carpark was very small and struggled to get out, unless there's other parking that I was aware of . Friendly staff. Will be back 😁

Amazingly juicy schnitzels, high recommend the one with the secret sauce topping. Steak was so reasonably priced and portion sizes are more than generous. Only thing is games room is a bit loud but that's to be expected of most hotels!
