Came here for a recent family dinner and were really impressed with the friendly and prompt service, varied menu and great quantity meals. It was table service in the restaurant and we never had to wait for drinks service and the meals were served without much delay. The pork ribs deserved a particularly notable mention. Will definitely be returning in the future and would recommend to others.

Really spacious pub, great for gatherings and hosting big parties. Entree was kinda soggy.. Taste was alright. Schnitzel was not bad, mushroom sauce was yummy, but would prefer the sauce on the side so that my schnitzel doesn't get too soggy. But the plating looks sad somehow. Beef steak was good, but could use more seasoning. Bit chewy. Meringue was good, a tad sweet. The brownie was the highlight. A little bit fudgey.

Went here for the novelty and we were not disappointed. We tried some Coopers beers that we haven’t had before which was exciting. We also ordered a 600 gram chicken schnitzel (pictured - $29) to share. Holy smokes, it was absolutely delicious! The pub itself still has so much character and it was lovely to experience and see this. Great vibe, great feed & great beer. 10/10.

We had a great Sunday afternoon, hopping from pub to pub in Adelaide’s CBD. The Alehouse is a particular favourite with great service and a huge range of beers brewed right here in South Australia. Loved it

This place was like a traditional Aussie local pub. We loved it. Next best thing to the coppers ale house since the brewery wasn’t open.

My friends and I had a great feed. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and my partner loved their margarita pizza. A bit on the pricy side but that’s what comes with great food. A bit of a wait for our dinner but again definitely worth it. I can definitely say we’ll be returning for some more delicious grub.

All but one staff member was frazzled and grumpy and service was very slow. Would like to return on a night that isn't the Melbourne cup aftermath and see if it is different. Food was really nice but not fabulous and I found a piece of plastic in my dinner. They were very apologetic and responsive to it though so wouldn't hold that against them. Overall quite noisy but a pleasant experience.

The best pub in Adelaide for a schnitzel or wood fired pizza. What stands out though is they have a varied changing menu that also caters for dietary requirements (dairy and gluten free) with a good selection of vegan items on the menu!

Great food with big serving. Service given by the staff was excellent. The full range of beer from Cooper's brewery (obviously) is really a spoilt for choice. One will be tempted to try all of them. Menu is extensive with what you can expect from a bar/restaurant. One will be tempted to try out the massive big sized schnitty or those endless rows of grilled ribs. Food service took quite a while to be ready as we were there in a big group of 20+ but once it's ready for service, the plates were dished out one after another. Everyone had theirs and was eating within 5-6mins when it's call for service. TLDR: Excellent service. Big menu with big serving. Full range of Cooper's beer to choose from to wash the food down after a hearty meal. Big thumbs up.

Food was good, a little on the pricey side. We went between lunch and dinner (2:30pm) and was forced to sit in the noisy bar, with large screen TVs (only showing the same sports event) with only high top tables & stools because they were "setting up" for dinner service. It's unfortunate that there wasn't another more inviting option for us during their "setup" time. The restaurant is plenty big to reserve a section for in betweeners to enjoy a meal without being forced into the loud bar. Weekly specials make this place more affordable. Not sure we'd go back, there are plenty of other fantastic restaurants in Adelaide!!

Quick and easy service with a smile. The current menu is very well balanced with something for everyone. I had a surf and turf and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. Not to mention it being a Coopers Alehouse, with every option on tap. Would recommend 👌

Had a 21st Birthday here last night and it was very busy. My chicken schnitzel with plain gravy was pretty good, very decent size. I heard from friends that there were some food issues like the pork was sent back a few times for being undercooked.

I tried a beautiful vegan dish (im a meat eater) thought i would mix it up a bit. Had this delightful Sweet and Sour tempura cauliflower number. Thanks to "Lizzie" for great service.

I really enjoy this place. Apart from the full range of Coopers Beer on tap, including 2 vintage years generally, the food is top quality. The schnitzels, beef or chicken are always nice and tender, and chips are great as well. About $30 with topping, but you won't go hungry. Staff are always excellent and friendly , with table service

The staff are extremely efficient, attentive and the most professional I have witnessed in a very long time. Waiting staff bring food and clear tables so quickly that you do notice them doing it. They constantly ask if drinks or anything else is required. The customer service was so good I thought we were in Melbourne or overseas. Can’t praise the staff enough. The communication with patrons as well as other staff is outstanding. Well done will be back and will be telling our tourism clients about this place. Thankyou so much for your amazing hospitality x

Amazing food and attentive service! Caring helpful staff! Yummy chicken parmigiana!! Further update! I’m back 10mths later and the 600gram parmi still tastes legendary and they are second to none compared to any other places.

The food is delicious, it is sometimes delayed but because it is prepared at the Moment, one of the waitresses has a bad attitude, the price is great, plus on Tuesday the pork ribs cost $19.99, you can park in front of the restaurant if you find a carpark.

This place has great vegan/vego options. I ordered the tempura cauliflower and it was simply delightful. A nostalgic throwback to my childhood with a Chinese style sweet n sour sauce, perfectly seasoned, fresh fluffy rice and the cauliflower was so crispy! The portion was extremely generous too, I just wish I could’ve finished it. Absolutely loved the old light fittings and a crackling wood fire to boot!

One of the few places where you can find Irish Guiness in Adelaide. Food is very decent and fairly priced, as well. Service is fantastic and the atmosphere is welcoming.

If you are an interstate traveler and enjoy a Coopers beer head here. They have vintage ale on tap and all the rest of the Coopers range . Great food menu and friendly staff.

I had the 300g Chicken Schnitzel with Hawaiian Topping & Mushroom Sauce. It was hands down the best I have ever eaten. The service was a 5. Good job guys 👏

The food was great and plentiful. The toilets do need upgrading but a nice place overall. The wooden stools are a bit hard on your backside after a while. I enjoyed my visit.

We heard rave reviews from our friends, so we went to try the food... The food was ok, not too good but not too bad either, a bit expensive for the average taste... waited approx 45 minutes for food to arrive, and they brought out two sets of potato wedges when we had ordered one (sent one back), forgot the sauce we had ordered with schnitzel, stuff happens, people forget... we reminded them, and the waitress went to check and came back to let us know they had already packed away all the sauces so we couldn't get what we had ordered... overall, it wasn't the most pleasant experience... beer and wine were good.

Unfortunate service aside from two kind girls. The entree garlic/cheese bread was tasteless. The eye fillet steak (not even dry aged) ordered medium, was gamey, overcooked, and the sides were warm tomatoes and a couple of potato sticks. I couldn’t finish it unfortunately. I was even disappointed when I went to the bathroom and the toilet seat fell off and I had to put it back together. I reckon the worst part was when they were bringing out steaks to our table of 12, almost all steak orders - the waiter said “they’re all pretty much the same anyway” even though they had varied levels of cooking, and were all different types of steaks. It was a confusing and frustrating process.

Good venue, good start with the bread, could keep chowing down on it with the 3 dips but when it came to mains, I felt a bit let down from my high. Home tartar sauce was well made, but the chips, prawns, calamari and salad was simply nothing note worthy.

Had dinner here tonight with my husband and we were celebrating a life milestone. We were really looking forward to eating together, the place is beautiful with some nice historic charm about it. We were unfortunately disappointed when my meal came out wrong, then we waited enough time for us both to finish easting my husbands meal together. When my replacement meal finally came out it was wrong again. Im giving this review 5 stars because the service after we explained the situation was dealt with very empathetically and we were happy when the meal that went wrong wasn't charged on our account and a sincere apology was made with an explanation that they had a busier than usual lunch service with minimal staff. We were also told when we come next time we will be looked after!

End of year informal gathering for a not for profit, the Active Living Coalition. Were supported by Well-being SA, Heart Foundation, and Office of Recreation, Sport and Racing. I let staff know in advance 15-20 would be coming and we had a jolly good time. Good sized drinks and professional friendly staff. Plenty of seats as per covid times. We loved it.

Brilliant food and atmosphere. Well worth a visit to sample the teams menu. Only 4 stars as my medium-rare steak was medium-welldone. The salt and pepper squid is at the top of my best tasting squids. Come and try

Wonderful experience in these trying times. Yes all masked up but we were able to have a marvellous meal and of coarse, tasting of the new Cooper's 🍻 Staff and surroundings excellent. Huge shout out for the Chef's and kitchen staff, the meals were amazing, from the tasting platter, loved the Pate and the oysters etc. Seafood chowder in a scooped out Cob Yummo. The steak was cooked to perfection and the individual cheese plates were delicious. It's a must go to place

Friendly staff and great food. Salt and pepper calamari is one of the best I've ever had. Chef does a brilliant job with the flavours and the spicy salad is awesome!Quite a large serving too. A nicely chilled Alicante goes well with it all.🍷

Tasty Schnitty 🤤, crunchy and delicious, decent serve, it was also “Schnitty specials night” which was also win 😘🏆 Fast & friendly service, food was served quick, great alternative to McD’s Only let down was my Coke + Lemon, Lime Bitters were both flat “no bubbles”

The food was fantastic, everything was cooked to perfection. It was all table service making it easier as we had a group of 20+ and the service was great. The food came out probably about half an hour or so after we ordered it, nice and quick. We had to wait a little maybe not even 5 mins to order a drink sometimes as they were very busy with a few large groups but you can go up to the bar if really desperate but we didn’t bother as the servers were easy to flag down. Prices were exactly as we expected, highly recommend the yorkie porkys if you like Yorkshire puddings. Can’t wait to go back again!

Great reasonable meals and drinks. So accommodating. Car parking can be an issue but then again it’s the city! Had casual meals, birthdays and events here and never been disappointed. Highly recommended

This place has ruined all other parmi's for me. It truly set the bar with quality/price for this classic pub meal. The fact you can get a 600 gram chicken parmi for $30 (double the normal size) with options to add on gourmet toppings makes it difficult for me to go to another pub and feel satisfied. I've been here a number of times over the years, and will keep coming back. Definitely the best parmi I've ever had. Friendly staff too. Great pub and great food. Keep it up guys!

Went here last night with a group of friends. We booked thinking Friday night would be really busy - it was dead, only 3 other tables inside that we could see and a few outside but mainly drinking. But still took 1.5 hours to bring out our food. We all ordered schnitzels - they bought out the wrong food to the wrong people and didn’t take note of the changes we’d applied to the meals when ordering (still came out standard). The chicken schnitzel was disgusting - almost like it was FAKE chicken, didn’t even look like chicken breast and was slightly watery inside. It was extremely rubbery, none of us finished and opted to take home which then went in the bin. We let a staff member know it was awful and she didn’t do anything about it just kind of brushed over the topic. Within a few hours most of us became quite ill and had to use the bathroom. I have now had to cancel work today due to being too ill to go in as I have been up all night after finishing 1/2 of my chicken schnitzel from this place and paying top dollar for my meal. I paid $35 for a schnitzel and a soft drink. Thank you for the food poisoning coopers

Great food. We came in for a late lunch..early dinner. Nice and quiet. Hubby had porterhouse schnitzel and I had the pork ribs. Both were delicious 👍

Rented out the Thomas Cooper room for a surprise party, staff were more than exceptional to deal with and helped with every question and dealt with any little issue I had promptly. Went with the a la carte menu. Food was amazing and came out perfectly timed and was better than I could’ve asked for. Definitely would book this venue again, was the perfect place for a perfect night.

Great venue . We were guests at an 18th birthday. The staff were friendly and attended everyone's needs. The food platters were fantastic. I dont think anyone left hungry. Would recommend this place .

For a pub it's not bad, a good selection of items. The schnitzel is quite good - 8/10. The steak, however, left something more to be desired especially for the price - 7/10. Nice selection of drinks. The food was quite substantial and is what you expect for pub grub.

Great pub food. Crowd pleaser. One of Adelaides top pub chefs heads up this kitchen. Try the surf and turf beef schnitzel. Yum.

Really liked this pub, upon entering premises it looked really quiet, we walked to the back where the restaurant was and it was very busy. We ordered an entree and a pizza for our main. The entree was great, tempura bug tails and the pizza was just how we liked it, wood fired, thin and crispy and the right ratio of topping.
