Yaaaaaall. This was one of the best meals I’ve had in Australia. Not to mention the space was perfect (comfortable, unpretentious, the music wasn’t annoyingly loud, the staff was friendly and attentive). I’m only visiting Adelaide for a few days and I’m so sad I can’t eat here whenever I want. My table ordered the Big Easy and Every. Single. Dish. nailed it. I took one bite of that hot shrimp dip and I think I saw god. And the tater tots??? Are you kidding me???? I did not know potatoes could be improved until I ate these. Every dish was paced out well, you didn’t have to wait too long in between courses but you also weren’t being shoved out the door with dishes arriving too soon. You get seven courses altogether for $45, like what more can I say? An absolutely incredible value for money and the food was insane. Here’s hoping this is a spot that one day lands a Michelin star and I get to say, “I went there before it had the hype!” In conclusion since I can’t wax poetic forever even though I want to: come hungry, get the Big Easy, and prepare yourself for a religious experience.

I don’t know where to start with this little slice of heaven. Most people would start with the chicken but that’s incredibly 1 dimensional and Nola is anything but that. I came to Adelaide nearly 1 year ago with an empty stomach and a dream, and Nola welcomed me with open arms. I’m still working on the dream, but Nola has filled my stomach on multiple occasions. Every time I walk in I’m greeted by the friendly staff, excellent service, and sensational food and drinks. In a city with great restaurants Nola continues to stand head and shoulders above its competition. The vibe is immaculate, the drink selection is superb, and the chicken is crispy. There’s not much more someone can ask for in my opinion.

We have a new go-to in Adelaide! Recently we took a short trip to Adelaide so making the right choice for lunch was very important. Thankfully we had heard great things about NOLA so we decided to head there. We advised the staff that we didn’t have a booking and were pleasantly surprised to hear they don’t take them so this got our dining experience off to a great start. We grabbed a table upstairs and ordered via the QR code making everyone’s lives easier. On order was Cornbread, BBQ Pork Belly Burnt Ends, Smoked Bacon Mac and Cheese, Spicy Corn Ribs, Cajun Roasted Cauliflower with Almonds and Blue Cheese and lastly, Frickles which were Lightly battered dill pickles with fermented jalapeno aioli. To be fair we ordered A LOT because we basically could not rule any of the above dishes out. The food was outstanding to say the very least. It was really hard to choose a favourite here so we rounded it down to 3. The Spicy Corn Ribs, BBQ Pork Belly and the Cauliflower were the most balanced and delicious of all. That’s not to take away from the others, it’s just that those made us go wow! The atmosphere at this restaurant was also great. The music was not too loud but contained a seriously good playlist. Additionally, the staff were friendly but gave us just the right amount of space to take our time with our meals and leave us to it. We are not afraid to say that we asked for take away containers for the leftovers here - and yes, it was that good! All up, we can easily say we know where we’ll be eating next time we visit Adelaide!!

What a lovely bar, with food available later than surrounding establishments. The crumbed Chicken was delicious. Start with 3, and see how you go - it's quite filling. Great selection of micro brewery beers on tap. Will be back. Went back again with a friend, and had 3 pieces of chicken each. Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere.

Waited 40 mins for the drink I ordered, and also food orders were mixed together. Staff tried to get our group of 6 to sit at the bar stools along the wall even though there were booths available?? Not sure how we’re meant to talk to each other that way! Tater tots were also super super salty, not sure if it was just a bad day in the kitchen but no one could finish them due to this.

Lovely small bar with really good soul food, unexpected but a welcome surprise! The hurricane cocktail is delicious, and the beignets are as good as you'd find in New Orleans (they just need to learn how to pronounce it!) Definitely will be back. Lovely staff too. Appreciated the contactless order system.

Amazing food and great service. NOLA's fried chicken has to be some of the best I have had. Also recommend the brisket or shrimp po'boi and the hot shrimp dip. Beignets are a must for dessert. For the whiskey lovers, they have a massive selection as well as a rotating list of great Aussie craft beers.

Lovely New Orleans inspired bar with delicious food. Service was great and I felt the prices were modest for what you got. Will swing by again.

Lovely food, drink and atmosphere. We need more of this style of food. Only downside is that they didn't disclose public holiday surcharge.

Easy to find and a great little eclectic pub. Large range of craft beers in a cosy setting. Staff are always great and the small food menu won’t disappoint. Perfect for groups of 5 or less or taking a date. Try the beer paddle, great value for money and opportunity to try a few beers at once.

Cool little pub with a nice vibe. $14 for a gin and tonic but I gotta admit it was a nice. not Gordon's and they used good mixers no post mix. Would go again but maybe I'll suss the beers next time haha

Really chill and nice place to come with some friends to hang out! The music is really trendy and rock lovers would love this place! They serve some of the best cocktails ive tried and their food menu is a great choice to have before some of the more stronger drinks. In terms of the interior, it's really groovy and aesthetic, definitely nice for some selfies or group photos. Overall the bar is very clean and the staff maintain a strict level of hygiene.

Hidden bar tucked away in an alley, with live music upstairs. Dim lighting to set the mood. Specifically came here for the signature fried chicken. It was crispy but only came in 6 boneless pieces.. Paired with a delicious sauce. But will consider it on the pricey side. Wide selection of drinks though. Generally a great place to wind down and chill.

First time I've been here and I really enjoyed it and would definitely go again. The staff were so helpful and friendly, the cocktails were delicious and the atmosphere is just perfect for a few Sunday afternoon cocktails.

Amazing food and amazing atmosphere, I have to say that the singer was so good at it that we were questioning if it was like a radio channel or a CD. The vibe was absolutely fantastic, drinks was amazing as well, the first cocktail (had passion fruit in it) that we got was surprisingly sweet since there wasn't any taste of alcohol at all, great for newbies but the one we got after was pretty strong, we couldn't even finish half a glass cause the whiskey was just too strong(scotch something), great for long term drinkers or whiskey lovers.

Organised a big team gathering and from start to end service was great, food selection and quantity was amazing. PS: Fried chicken and Potato Gems are best 🍗🐔

Awesome drinks. Perfect blend of the cocktail. It was so smooth that I still feel its taste in my throat 😍. The atmosphere was very good and the customer service was also absolutely great 👍

Unfortunately this just isn't the place for me. We ordered the hot cheesy shrimp dip, the pulled pork po boy, beef brisket po boy and chicken. The food was fairly standard. We assumed the shrimp dip would be spicy, but it's not. It was also just not my thing, although my partner liked it. The po boys were alright as well, nothing that blows your mind. The meat was cooked well which was great. The fried chicken was extremely heavy. Great when you take your first and second bite, but hard to keep on eating without feeling a bit sick. Place is really cute and has a great atmosphere, the food just wasn't my thing unfortunately.

Fun and funky place to hang out. Not too loud, great music. Drinks are a bit expensive. Recommend the cocktail "Fairy Wearing Boots" 😋

Had a cool guitar player, nice vibe and good cocktails. Food generally good. Ordered the rice ( stir fry types) as well. Did not have any seasoning. Avoid... Will try the fried chicken next time.

Happy to see Southern favourites on the menu! Really nice atmosphere for a night out and food was good but a little pricey. Worth checking out at least once if you’re in Adelaide.

We went to Nola’s to hear some jazz and eat southern style food. Both were excellent . Great vibe here. If you haven’t tried Benye’s then do yourself a favour and try some

A great place to relax & chat with a few cocktails on a Sunday afternoon. One of the only places with an open kitchen until early hours of the morning for those late night needs after a night out lol. Great food & service - especially with the QR codes at the table & not having to line up at a bar. Perfect!

First time going there this Saturday night and maybe not for me. Enjoyed the nice bustling atmosphere but the two bar tenders were so flat out busy that they didn't have time to be courteous to customers... perhaps a management issue?? I'd also be irritated at customers walking up to the bar (in our case just to ask a question) when I'm working frantically to get through about 20 back logged orders.

Cozy, jazzy late night spot with cajun cuisine, delicious drinks and an aesthetic ambience.

Food was excellent! Great Cajun spices. Drinks service struggled with the full house upstairs.

Leaving 5 stars almost purely for the fried chicken. It blew my mind, the spicy fried chicken was the absolute best chicken I've had in ages. The rest was all good too, nice beer selection, but I cannot stress enough my delight at the chicken.

This is my special place. I always go here for the vibe, the beer and the Gumbo. The Po'Boy is pretty good too, I love to add some of their spicy sauce to it. And the Gumbo is just priceless, one might think as to why they're serving rice and stew at a bar but trust me, get a drink- get buzzed- get a gumbo. Your life will come a full circle in this.

Proper food packed full of authentic flavour and not just the usual uninspired 'American' cuisine. And even better booze selection!

From the minute that we walked in you could not beat the friendly staff. We were given a jug of water and glasses with lime and ice, without having to make a request. We ordered our food and drinks. The food menu is compact but full of really good offerings. The alcohol offerings are vast and it is very difficult to make a choice. There are at least 10 craft beers and hundreds of bottles of spirits on offer. The food when it came was really tasty, fresh and hot. The sauces appear to be homemade and were very good. Overall I would highly recommend this place and will be visiting. The staff are really friendly and attentive and the place is brilliant

I had been told this place was great, but I really wasn't expecting the food to be so good. We tried their Big Easy banquet and everything that came out was fantastic. Loved the shrimp dip and Cornbread especially. Our group took advantage of the extensive stout selection and the cocktails were fun too. Staff seemed to be a bit distracted or disinterested but that didn't seem to detract to much from the overall experience. Definitely worth a try 👍

NOLA Adelaide exceeded my expectations. The food was surprisingly amazing for a small bar. The general consensus is that the fried chicken is extremely tasty, I can confirm that statement. The skin is very crispy and the chicken is amazingly juicy. I had a great experience at NOLA and I would definitely return to try more of their menu and drinks.

Busy upstairs during the Urban Cocktail walk. One person behind the bar who was kept busy serving. No menus upstairs but was still able to order food which arrived promptly. Revisited for some cocktails and a Po Boy roll on a Saturday afternoon.

Friendly staff and great drinks! Their food is also really delicious. Goes well with the drinks you can order. Huge selection of cocktails and ample seating! Both indoor and outdoor seating, and it's in such a great location. Very pretty.
