As a long time fan of this bistro I was very disappointed this evening. I get that they use mostly good quality ingredients but the prices have become ridiculous. Seriously...it used to include a wonderful salad bar. Now a $28 schnitzel doesn't even come with salad that's $4 extra. The place has turned into a rip off. Shame as the quality is usually so good. My porterhouse schnitzel was really overcooked and dry. I know I could have probably got another but I didn't want to make a fuss. $32 for an overcooked schnitzel, a tiny little bowl of chips and an even tinier bowl of veg with frozen peas... Won't be back.

Found the staff quite rude when they were the ones who got our order wrong. Food was average and overpriced, had to pay extra to have salad with your schnitzel and chips. porterhouse schnitzel was like eating a chunky piece of beef patty.

Celebrated my wife’s 50th and cannot believe how above and beyond all the staff went tonight. The food and service was outstanding and all the guests were impressed with everything especially the ability to cater so many options for gluten free…12/10 thank you for making it a memorable experience.

Visited for lunch. Good food and reasonable prices. I didn't expect to see lambs brains on the menu. Supa salad was good for a vegetarian.

Really good menu, food was fresh, tasty and interesting. Staff were all pleasant and efficient. Cleaning standards are high. Interesting and extensive wine list if a bit pricey. Seniors menu available every day is probably the best I've seen.

Nice pub, was fairly busy but great atmosphere. Food was decent, and standard prices for pub food. You have to go up and order your food, and then you are given a buzzer and you have to go and collect your own food, it was different but wasn't bad for casual dining. Was served quickly at the bar. We had a good evening, and would be back

Warm, comfy, and cosy in bistro, No disturbance from live music in the garden. Steak, nicely cooked. Lamb, succulent. Kids meal, generous, and well received by the kids. I wished that they brought back the salad bar! Hopefully it will happen some time in the near future! Thank you for the attentive service, once again.

Good service but overpriced food especially the steak. Thinly cut scotch fillet is difficult to cook medium rare but at $42 it should be thick and perfectly cooked. Add $7 for some veggies and it's an expensive meal and not that good. Also why on your menu are you trying to impress by stating steaks come from New South Wales. Don't we have excellent beef in SA and buying local is always preferable surely. I would love a reply from the hotel re these issues or do they really not care

Visited their restaurant and outdoor area. Their pizza was delicious and made fresh to order. The place was full on the weekend we visited. The price of food and beverage is pricier as compared to comparable hotels. $16.00 for a pint of Asahi in their beer garden (not even table service) is way too steep. The DJ playing music was playing it way too loud to be able to have a conversation with anybody.. other than that, a pretty good place in a good area

Five of us had a meal at the bistro and we were all very pleased with our meals. Two of us had the seafood curry which was excellent. The chicken schnitzel was excellent and the seafood basket was very well done. The meals were of a large size such that three of us took some home. Well done Warradale Hotel. The service was excellent with every need serviced.

Went for a work Christmas party 🥳. Great space for it. Staff let us know 10mins before we should all order and then all food came out at the same time. Tremendous effort by kind and professional staff 👏

Food 10/10 never fails to please, chefs are amazing. Staff friendliness 10/10. Used to be table service but now pay before. The only major issue was the loudness of the music from the bar area adjacent to the restaurant. Saturday night n music was blaring full bore, way too loud. Couldn't hear our table guests had to tell at each other. Even the staff couldn't hear us order. This was at 830pm. We asked staff to get the music turned down which happens straight away. Fantastic service n response. Just be mindful if you book Saturday night that restaurant is very noisy.

We had a family birthday dinner tonight with 2 young children. The meals came quickly and were very good. Stella, our waitress was so lovely. Friendly and helpful. It was a lovely evening 😊

We had a good lunch at the Warradale a few days before Xmas. Meal portions were certainly generous and the service was pretty good. Meals came out quite quickly and were served all together. Food was good rather than great. Good choice of beers and craft ales. Only slight disappointment was we hit the bottom of the coopers keg so ended up with 3 pints with way too much sediment in them. We should have noticed it at the bar but didn't and after having a few mouth fulls didn't feel like we could take them back. Was a young lad serving so perhaps just a bit of training needed. Would go back again.

We had an amazing Christmas dinner tonight. Perfect food, service was very pleasant Georgia was a beautiful friendly waitress I hope Father Christmas brings you some thing nice. We will be back xx

By far the best pub food in the southern suburbs. Awesome pizza and great daily specials. Fast, friendly service. We always go here when we are in town. Love it!

When we arrived Tony and his staff could not have gone out of there way to be more welcoming and understanding. Went for dinner, table service drinks which was good. Food came out fairly quickly considering it was busy. Food was better than previous occasions. Service was excellent.

The meals here are always incredible - I hope they pay their chef handsomely as his meals are EVERYTHING! The atmosphere is brilliant as well, with a gorgeous fit out.

We had the daily roast. It was presented beautifully and tasted as good as it looked. Arguably the best pub roast I've eaten. The service, ambience and the quality of the food was excellent.

Just there for lunch today with a group of about 20 for my Mum's 80th Birthday. The place was very busy so our meals were a bit slow to come out but we were busy chatting and catching up anyway. Wife and I had the roast of the day, pork. The customer service was great including bringing the cake out to my mum which my wife had made.

Having a FANTASTIC DELICIOUS lunch in dining room Lambs fry and bacon for me . Beer battered fish for Dad . Can't speak highly enough of the food and service . Just brilliant. Thanks a million

Had the Barramundi dish and it was fantastic. Crispy skin, well cooked fish. Risotto was a good accompany, and the touch of chilli really set it off. The chocolate and sticky date pudding was good, though would've personally like more date. Very well presented dishes, and the staff were everything you could've wanted. Timely check ins on the table to see if drinks were needed and very professional service. Went to the tavern bar for a drink after dinner and to watch the footy. Totally different atmosphere which was welcome. Big screen as the main focus, with screens off to the side so even if turningnin conversation, you didn't miss the game. Other screens showing other games that were on, and the F1 along with the standard dogs, horses and harness races for those wanting a punt.

Great service, great food, great atmosphere... and didn't break the bank, couldn't ask for much more. They have an open kitchen that you can view through giant windows right from your seats and see them making your food, all incredibly professional, friendly, bubble, and just polite staff. Can't recommend enough!

The service was quick and very nice. I just loved the food. Lovely, hearty and delicious pub style menu with good choice of drinks. The chicken burger was so flavoursome and chicken parmesan was nice and juicy. I'd love to come back to this place to try other items on the menu. Well done.

Lunch outside. Lovely quiet ambience. Generous serves for main courses at our table of ten. Seafood combo was very tasty but I would have loved it more if the oil had been drained off for a bit longer. Same with the butter milk fried chicken. Just a little too greasy. Incredible tartare sauce and the chips were crunchy. All things considered we all had a very nice long lunch on a sunny day.

Went to a party here, group of about 40. The meal was excellent, I didn't hear of any complaints. Bar service was fast and friendly. Good band playing lots of '80s music. Overall, a good night.

Love the "new" incarnation of this place. You can choose bistro or tavern. The menu is the same in both, the only difference is the bistro has table service and in the tavern you collect your food when the buzzer goes off. The food is yum, service is great, fabulous cocktails, and a wonderful outdoor area. Love it!

The menu and food were actually really good, lovely scallops, steak not over cooked. A couple of the staff were carrying the rest of the team, who either didn't care, or were poorly trained. They had nonsensical procedures and unreliable tech, which didn't help. Very comfy bistro chairs!

FOOD 8/10 Good food. Portion sizes 5/5. Freshness and flavour 4/5. Service 2/5. BAR STAFF 10/10 Great staff. They were so helpful and friendly. FULL OF KNOWLEDGE. CLEANLINESS 8/10 Glasses and cuttlery were dirty but other than that I was very impressed. EXPERIENCE 7.5/10 lots of people coming in looking lost. I was a bit at first. Difficult to find a specials list.

The food and service was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive. But the noise from the front bar was too loud and we ended up shouting, to have a conversation. But other than that it was a great experience.

We only had lunch in the bistro. We didn't have a booking and arrived late in the lunch time slot. The staff were very accommodating, attentive and friendly. Nice food on the menu that was delicious and a good choice of drinks. Nice atmosphere in the bistro, maybe a little loud for some but that suggests there's lots of people because the place is good. 🙂. Seniors meals and rates available.

Great for a family gathering. Food was good and well priced. Service was good with children's meals coming quickly and the adults' coming together.

The Warradale Hotel, is a great place for a meal.The meals are very tasty and the prices are good. If you are a senior, they do have specials which I can recommend. Great parking, and I enjoy the meals there also that it's in a pleasant setting, in a quiet setting, with know music, as when I go to other restaurants they have annoying music, which sometimes is too loud, taking away from enjoying the meal. I have to say, that I have only ever gone to the Warradale at lunch times, but I would say an evening meal would be the same, I attend to find out soon. I recommend this establishment for a great meal, you want be disappointed. David

Great place for a large group gathering. Food is very good and deserts are next level. Tony is super helpful and easy to deal with if you need to book a function. Highly recommend.

Pretty decent food. Reasonably priced. Good vibe, friendly staff. Have been many times and will continue to come, they do it well.

Went to the Warradale tonight for dinner and to watch the World Cup final. The kitchen lost our order so the food came out almost an hour after we ordered it. It wasn’t very warm but we were too hungry to send it back. They did give us a free drink each but it was overall poor service. The television kept losing signal all through the game so you couldn’t even watch the match properly. The bar was full of smoke from smokers stood right outside and the door to the garden being left open. I’ve been before and it’s been fine but tonight was really poor.

Our table of 7 had dinner at the Warradale tonight. The food was lovely but the service was terrible. One wait staff with dyed red hair was lovely but the others were all in bad moods and did not speak to us, or others we saw in the restaurant, nicely at all

Saturday 22/7/23. Four of us went to the Warradale Hotel for lunch.We were met by Trishy the waitress in the dining room. She quickly showed us to our table and took our orders.Roast turkey, chicken schnitzel, beef schnitzel, and fish & chips. She asked what we would like to drink and in a few moments, was back with our drinks. Very enjoyable lunch, good service with someone that enjoys what she does and does it very well. Unfortunately, this time wasn't as good as the first. We ordered two senior meals but only received one. The other was a full price steak. My wife always looked forward to the mashed potatoes but never got them. She was grateful that she only got charged for the seniors' meal.
