Enjoyable lunch with excellent Table Service from friendly and helpful staff..It was a pleasure to be waited on, as soon as we arrived, shown to our table as soon as we arrived and were not required to leave our seats for the duration of the 4 course meal..A very pleasant change from the usual experience when attending similar venues. Food and wine on tap (another winning experience), that makes this venue a cut above the rest, was of high standard. Multiple Inside and outside dining and entertainment areas here, all of of a high quality standard. The HWY is a winner all-round AGAIN..

It’s really a stunning place for hosting the event or functions. The food and place is amazing, it’s located in the south of cbd but it’s very close to the city as well. A room can host estimate 300 people for one function, also the casino next to the function room. If you want to find a place to host event, it should be a place for you.

Largess and diversity. There are so many parts to the whole that you may never ever step into another part. Once inside, you completely forget the busy Anzac Hwy outside. There is a sports bar where you can place bets and watch lots of TVs. There's a beautiful leafy outdoor garden. Inside the dining room, there is a lovely bar. If you're bored or finished with all that, you can play pokies. The lunch experience was good and quite busy. The tables are plenty, and the atmosphere is good. I describe the food from the kitchen as honest and good.

Indoor/outdoor area is great for casual occasions. Service was great. Vegan and vegetarian available.

We didn't make a booking as we were there from when they opened for dinner service at 5.30pm. We quickly came to realise how busy they get and that we maybe should have booked. They gladly said they did have a table for us which we were relieved. The service was quick and friendly. The food came out very quickly and the food tasted amazing. We were very happy with dining in here and would come here again for sure. Would definitely recommend if holidaying in Adelaide.

I drove to Adelaide from a regional area to meet two Adelaide friends for lunch at The Highway Inn and to belatedly celebrate my birthday. I had heard some good reports about the Bistro and was looking forward to the day. One of my friends and myself ordered the roast lamb. To our dismay the slices were overcooked and full of sinew and fat. We salvaged a small amount of actual meat, but it was a huge letdown. On a positive note, the vegetables were delicious. The third lady at our table ordered the battered hoki - there was an enormous amount of batter covering the fish, making it necessary for her to peel a lot of it off. Perhaps the chefs could learn how to make a lighter tempura batter. Chocolate mousse with slivers of toffee was excellent. The three staff on duty on a Friday for lunch were pushed to the limit, but remained calm and friendly.

I celebrated my dad’s 50th birthday last night where we had quite a large group of people for the dinner. The staff were absolutely amazing and super friendly the entire time. The service was great, and they came around regularly to check on people’s food and if we needed more drinks. Will definitely be recommending this spot and will come back in the future!

Had yet another fantastic meal at the Highway tonight… the food is outstanding.. and consistently so… there are few fine dining restaurants in Adelaide that can cook fish as well as these guys & they are brave with their menu, changing it regularly and with varying daily specials… you can get a culinary surprise, even if you were there a fortnight ago! A huge shout out to the kitchen crew.. you guys rock!! To make things even more attractive, the staff on the floor are equally impressive.. they fit us in when we show up at 9, are always friendly and we enjoy having a quick chat and laugh with them. Thank you to the Highway Hotel.. please don’t change 🙏🏻😊

Look, I'm biased because they're my local, but this is really just a great pub. Front bar with betting, meals, and banter; best beer garden in the inner south west (and rotating craft beer taps); dining room & function rooms; pokies (if that's your thing- they are away from other areas), kitchen, live music, big screen for the sports ball. And all easily accessible via Anzac Hwy, or the tram (stop 10 Marion Road). Don't forget their amazing bottle shop on your way out!

The DJ on the evening of 4th Feb 2024 was amazing! He played a very tasteful wiggles/baby shark combo before we high tailed it back home with our kids! Food was great! Staff were awesome!

I've visited the Highway three times this week. We booked for my mums 90th last Sunday, then before I knew it, friends had booked on the Tuesday night & then another lot of friends last Saturday night. All our meals were fabulous. I had the roast, a Vietnamese dish and then salt & pepper squid. The food is reasonably priced for a large meal, that you get. I've always enjoyed going there for many years, and their service is excellent. Thank you....

for $27 i would have hoped for better. i ordered a chicken parmy. what i received was a frozen, soft and soggy sheet of chicken with some crusty ham and runny topping. extremely dissapointing, a chicken parmigiana is not that hard to make. every other pub/restaurant serves these double the size and actually half decent.

Functions staff were brilliant with preparations, set up, serving and pack down. Able to select nice wine for our function and tailor the food to dietary requirements. Definitely recommend and very reasonably priced.

Stumbled across this gem of a place for lunch today, the staff were amazing they couldn’t do enough to make us feel special nothing was too much trouble and the bonus is that the meals were great. It’s a Shame we don’t live in Adelaide or we would definitely be regulars

Overall brilliant staff, venue and selection of meals / drinks in menu. Ordered the fried chicken burger and chips through the interactive QR code menu and certainly wasn't disappointed. Easy to use alternative with text messaging for pickup from counter. It was a flawless meal, made better with the awesome atmosphere of the beer garden with a couple of mates. 5/5 🌟

Just there for Sunday lunch. A very large group were there next to our smaller group of 6. Wife had the roast beef and I had the chicken schnitzel. Both were a nice portion size and tasted great. Staff were friendly and efficient. Good work, guys. 4.6 stars.

First time at The Highway. Staff let us know one dining room was closing so if we’d like a relaxed lunch she recommended to lounge bar. It was the most relaxing, delicious lunch we have been to. Food was cooked to perfection. Very quick service. Will be returning here again!

Always enjoy The Highway - it has a casual vibe and the staff are always friendly and happy to change what they can for dietary requirements. My friend and I usually sit in the bar or in the outside area - but decided to sit in the restaurant in this occasion as it was quieter . We were offered sparkling or still water as we sat down - and I decided to order a Boston Sour ( which is a whiskey sour with shaken egg white and Angostura bitters ) . They used a bourbon called Buffalo Trace , which had a lovely smoky flavour like a Southern BBQ- definitely recommend this if you like a good bourbon . My friend and I ordered the fried haloumi with lime aioli and za’atar ( which is a Middle Eastern herb/spice mix with toasted sesame seeds ) and served with a lemon wedge . The haloumi was lovely, fresh and crisp - you could hear the crunch when you bit into it . For mains we both had the King Henry pork cutlet with whipped feta, puréed spinach and lemon and oregano potatoes. The pork was well cooked and flavourful and I loved the whipped feta - it’s a pity that there wasn’t more of it as it paired really well with the potatoes. Wasn’t sure about the spinach purée , it was only a smear and there was no flavour , but that the only complaint that I had and I thought the bourbon cocktail was so good that it made up for any shortcomings . Staff were attentive and friendly and it was , as usual , a relaxing enjoyable place to sit back and have a meal .

Nice new decor, friendly staff with great smiles. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. Mains served, was duck, rice and salad, also pork chop with delicious roast potatoes with gravy. Good selection of wines to go with the meals. Desert was a chocolate ganache and coffee. Outdoor to listen to live music. Great afternoon. Recommend

Thanks to 3M for putting up such an amazing nurse training. We use the conference room. Foods for morning tea and lunch was well prepared.. staff are very friendly, toilet was very cleaned and very luxury looking environment I will definitely come back to this place

Loved the food. The service team were knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. It was a bit noisy, but there was a big birthday and a wedding so I suppose was to be expected. Great experience!

We were in the beer garden, which has a great atmosphere. It's a good central location and there's plenty of parking. Staff were really friendly and the food was great! Can get really busy.

Couldn't fault the staff. The person serving our table took our orders without writing them down! And got them all right! Unfortunately, the chicken schnitzel I ordered was dry - only the pepper gravy saved it. The salad in the tiny bowl was a bit ho hum. The only reason we would go back there would be to eat with our friends who enjoyed their meals. One had the beef Thai salad and said it was delicious and another had the roast and said it was great.

Went to a birthday celebration here, and was very impressed. We were in the open area at the back, which is well designed with lots of comfortable seating very large screens for watching sports. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food tasted really good

10/10 service, everyone gets orders taken in a timely manner with friendly polite staff, food brought out at same time, 10/10 Food, top quality meals, roast meat succulent not like a tough boot list goes on with the variety of quality meals and finally great prices. Not sure why so hard for other places. Maybe good team and management all working together with enough staff 🤔 👍 🙌 Never disappoints. Thanks again for an enjoyable lunch and service for my nephew's 21st.

amazing space, went their with my husband and ordered fries very well salted by the way. Went there last weekend as well and saw this very young dishwasher there, made me proud to know teens these days don't just stay inside all the time. Also their famous chef don't really know his name though.
