21/03/22 - On the corner of King William Street we visited 2KW and experienced the rooftop bar. For those on a first time visit be aware that 2 x elevator rides are required to reach your destination. Once up top we found ourselves a fantastic spot to sit and have a few beverages whilst the sun set. Views of the Adelaide Oval and surrounds were magnificent. The service was welcoming and the food was delicious. The Bar Menu wasn't your basic nibbles etc... it was filled with delicious options that were hard to choose from. We ended up having the Triple Cooked Salt & Vinegar Potatoes and Two Gulfs Crab Crumpets. WOW. FYI there is a restaurant option here as well, although we did not experience this I am sure it would be worthy for some to know this. As visitors from Sydney this location was a fantastic way to start our holiday.

The only good dish here is the murray cod. Everything else was not as tasty as you would expect at such upper price range. The duck was bland. Staff were attentive but not genuinely welcoming. I would not come here again.

A flawless dining experience with sensational food and wines to match. We opted for the ‘feed me’ menu and were treated to kingfish, octopus, salt and vinegar spuds and the lamb shoulder - despite there only being the two of us - every plate left the table cleared - not even a scrap of meat left on the lamb bone - whoops! The night flowed and so did the wine with two bottles a couple of cocktails to cap off a great night

This place came highly recommended to us but unfortunately it fell short. The three stars are for service, location, wine list and atmosphere. Of which all were great. Honestly the wine list is impressive. Where it fell short: The value for money was not great. All the food we had was just a little lack lustre considering the price. Only thing we really enjoyed were the fresh oysters. If money is no issue to you and you have the time you could try this place and hope for a better outcome. But Adelaide has some great locations that are better value for money.

I love the rooftop bar. Nice pizza and fries. Wines are pretty good, value for money. Music DJ and venue are nice.

Located in the northern side of the city, about a ten minute walk from the Adelaide oval. Great location, central to most hotels. This restaurant has an amazing rooftop bar and restaurant. Even if just going for a drink, it is definitely worth a visit for the views alone. The food was amazing, especially the chicken and the lamb. The kingfish entree was lovely. Main highlight is the potatoes…amazing. Good selection of local drinks especially the gins.

We had a nice time here. We started off with whipped white cod roe, followed by grilled scallops then the slow cooked 1.2kg lamb shoulder with tomato salad (the day’s special) and we had coconut haupia and pavlova for desert. The grilled scallops were amazing, highly recommend! Pavlova was a bit too sugary for my liking, but the coconut haupia was really good. There was a DJat the bar outside playing some nice tunes and this made the ambience inside quite good. Note - You can’t get the fine dining menu if you want to sit on the rooftop with the view - that side has a different bar-ish menu. You have to sit inside for fine dining.

Would absolutely recommend this restaurant! Came here for dinner with 2 other people in late May 2021. We sat inside; next time I will try to book a table closer to the window so I can enjoy the view. Food is designed to be shared. I cannot fault anything about the experience - ambience, interiors, service and most importantly the food (especially the chicken, eggplant and octopus) were all fantastic. Well balanced, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Great value as well given the quality of food. I can't wait to come back and try some other dishes.

Arguably the best views of Adelaide from any CBD restaurant! The food was certainly modern and electic, with rich and distinct taste profiles (e.g., triple cooked salt and vinegar potatoes were sublime, while the Flounder had a subtle flavour, and the chicken was highlighted by the accompanying Middle Eastern inspired sauce). Front of house were courteous and friendly too.

Really beautiful place, great food and atmosphere, great drinks and plenty of options. Great for special occasions as it’s a little pricey but worth it. Staff are wonderful also ❤️🫶

Enthralling experience at one of the best rooftop bars situated on level 8 with a full view of Adelaide. Cocktails are innovative and exciting, especially the 2KW. The triple cooked salt and vinegar potatoes goes well with drinks and is a typical bar snack. Ordered a fresh fish, it was cooked well and had retained the moisture. This place is all things fancy you can imagine, might be a bit hefty on pocket but it is worth it. Drop here for your dinner date or anything special! Won't be disappointed.

Atmosphere is great. Service from the staff were amazing. Serving size is average for fine dining. Great for sharing as the menu suggests. However for the price of the food, you would think it would all taste great. Some dishes were great, some not so much which dampened the dining experience. The oysters were not fresh and were not enjoyable. The chicken was tender and beautiful. The seasonal greens we're amazing and well dressed. The cod was a winner. The succulents were amazing. However the mullet and kingfish was disappointing. Would I go back? Yeh sure...for a different menu. Is it worth it? Not really. Still an enjoyable experience nonetheless.

What happened to this great establishment! If it wasn’t for the service, this would be two stars. Usually we order the lamb shoulder and potatoes however my friend had it the week before and advised it was below average. So we ordered the tuna, oysters, calamari and cabbage. Tuna: bland and wasn’t cold. Oysters: they were not fresh and the sauce they were served with was bland/watery. Calamari was a strange combination of textures and lacklustre flavour. The presentation was absolutely terrible. The cabbage was well presented, full of flavour and delicious. The serving was small. Overall we won’t be coming back or recommend 2KW

We did the Feed-me option where they select the choice of food for you. It was a nice selection, well prepared with a bit of difference to make the food unique. It was a cold, wet night but the night view overlooking Skycity, Parliament House, Adelaide oval and Cathedral was worth a coue of snaps.

The food was slightly above average, but the entire experience was marred by the sub-standard service, which was surprising for a restaurant of this calibre. The inattentiveness was surprising, which included multiple efforts to ask for basic amenities like water glasses being filled, and also long wait times for dessert which again, we had to prompt. The food was decent and we had the tasting menu due to the size of our group. Highlights include the Octopus, Chicken and Garfish. The dessert, a Basque Cheesecake was too rich, and very heavy which we felt wasn't a great end to what was quite a heavy meal. Unfortunately we won't return due to the service. Maybe you have to look a certain way, or be the right type of person to get attentive service, and this ultimately left a really poor taste in our mouths.

Awesome place with a great ambience. The view from the top of KW and north terrace is mesmerising. And the customer service is outstanding, specially ANDY, an excellent person and took great care of us 😊

Love this place! The view of the Torrens river, the service, the delicious food (especially the seafood!), the extensive wine list, and the lovely staff. Every thing is perfect. I would give them 6 stars if I could!

Very happy with our dinner last night here. Food and drinks where top notch. Service was very friendly and professional. The place was fairly busy, being a friday night, but the wait between dishes was very reasonable. Only negative was that the chairs where pretty mediocre for such a nice establishment.

My partner and I celebrated Christmas Eve here and we were not disappointed! We arrived early for our booking and the staff were more than happy to show us to the balcony to get us started on cocktails. When our table was ready they collected us. We chose the led us feed you option and we could not be happier. Some of the dishes are pictured. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming again. Absolutely amazing food and service, definitely worth the money.

We chose the $115 feed me menu the entrees are good. I love the chicken liver waffles that are amazing ! However, there is Only one main to share for three of us which is a 1 kg rib eye but more than half are the purely fat (another half is still bit fat too) and one serve of very salty wedges we can’t eat it. We ordered another pizza because we still hungry after the main and after the discussion with nice waitress they gave us pizza free. By the way the pizza is amazing !

Lovely "Feed Me" menu! $75/head and we were so stuffed with food!! Amazing value! We had so much food we couldn't eat! Beautiful food. Waitress was amazing. Wine and cocktails were delicious. Couldn't fault a thing!

It is a cool bar, we didn't eat so I can't say about the food. Saturday night they have a DJ and good atmosphere. No shots but lots of expensive cocktails and wine poured to the measure ( I wish they could be a bit more generous).... A bit fancy but with the amazing views of the oval and the city they can be. Fantastic service in the bar!

Perfect little best kept secret in Adelaide. Great views from the hills to the ocean. Get there and enjoy a full menu, or light bar snacks including wood fired pizza. Will be back

An absolutely amazing experience - fantastic food paired with one of Adelaide’s best views, complimented by some of the most caring staff We came here for a special occasion and were blown away by every aspect of this restaurant The depth of flavour is only surpassed by the beauty of the location, and diligence from the staff Anyone that wants to have a night out with a significant other (or a group of friends), this place is a must - absolute quality Edit: 2nd time, just as great

The progression of flavour was nicely curated. We started with pumpkin sunflower seeded sourdough & cultured butter. Followed by Spencer Gulf kingfish crudo, citrus, Mexican oregano, olive oil & Pickled cucumber, melon, macadamia cream, dill, nigella seeds. The course hit the highest notes with Potato mille feuille, crème fraîche, Yarra Valley smoked salmon roe very creamy feminine flavour but then 6+MS Wagyu cecina toast, woodfired red pepper, hazelnut romesco gave an beautifully amazing contrast. We had Shio koji chicken, native Australian jerk sauce, charred pickled onions which honestly very similar with Betutu Chicken from Bali (in a good way, of course).. and we cleaned our palate with Coconut haupia, mango, passionfruit, teff shortbread, coconut crisps chef was very thoughtful to did "Happy Birthday" chocolate writing on plate. And indeed I feel special. The staff were very polite.

At last, this venue has been on my bucket list for the last five plus years and lived up to my expectations, with exceptional quality food, on the amazing Adelaide rooftop location, on the corner of North Terrace and King William Street..You never know who you may bump into here either..! Inside and outside dining..

Great service, huge drinks range to choose from. Elegant dining in the restaurant and comfy booths outside. Fantastic views along King William Street and North to Adelaide Oval, Government House and part of North Terrace. A simple menu available for those who don't desire the restaurant option. This includes simple but yummy pizzas. Recommended experience.

It's got the views, the sophisticated yet chic ambience, great tasting food and excellent service team. Only downside was the donut dessert... Not quite sweet enough to be called a dessert. Overall, had a wonderful lunch with the family and will definitely be back for seconds (might try the $70 "let us feed you menu").
