I am absolutely proud to call this place my local. As soon as you walk through the door you can smell the amazing aroma. Incredibly tasty, reasonably priced, delicious food that everyone can enjoy. The British butter chicken is like velvet in the mouth, however, the stand out is the lamb korma. The complex flavours and delicious roti complement the experience. The dimly lit atmosphere and tasteful music only add to the ambiance. Myself, my partner and family have visited and it definitely won't be our last!

One of the best Indian meals we have had. We are from Melbourne and visit many Indian restaurants here but this would be by far the best Indian cuisine we have tasted. The Indian butter chicken is fantastic, the naan bread fresh and hot. The curries are tasty and of good proportion. Wish we had a British India in Melbourne. 5 Stars

I have been wanting to go here for years and finally did. Will definitely be going again soon as the dining experience was 10/10! Service was very friendly, professional and welcoming. I had ordered onion Bhaji for an entree however the man serving us suggested that we have the samosa instead & I’m so glad we went with that because the samosa was the best I’ve ever had. All of the food was delicious. Mango Lassi was good, that can be a hit or miss- this place has nailed it! Lovely ambience. Easy parking on the side street just off Anzac highway. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Dinner at @britishindiasa - almost next door to us! Modern Indian food and not quite traditional, but the food is good ☺️☺️☺️. Really friendly service too! . Broken samosa: apparently one of their most popular dishes. Very interesting presentation, and tasted great! I loved puffed rice was delicious 🤤😍. . Royal chilli squid: again, not exactly a traditional Indian dish, but it tasted great 😜😜. . Curry dishes and naan: nicely done overall! And the naans were delicious 🤤🤤. - Tumeric goan prawn: yummy prawns!! - Madras duck - Garlic naan - Cheese and chilli naan . Mango lassi: of course I love this drink 😍😍.

It was delicious. That’s how i will begin here because despite the look of this place you are really uncertain about how the taste will be of the food served here. But trust me I would spend another round to get a good meal to bite here. So not much of to right expect the food I personally really loved it. Especially with the “vandaloo chicken” that now has a different space in my life. Thank you again and compliments to the chef. Taste - Awesome 🤩 Value for money - in your budget 😉 Ambience - its quite dark but manageable People - friendly with a fast service at least that i was able to get and also to look around😇

We were walk ins and were greeted and seated immediately. The owner was super friendly and chatted to us for a while about our background and our love of Indian food. He made some recommendations which we tried out. Every dish was delicious, we especially loved the Broken Samosa. There were a few inviting vegetarian options that we’d not seen on an Indian menu before and can’t wait to go back and try them out. Absolutely loved it.

We visited here at the end of August and our visit was brilliant. The service was great and the staff were friendly. We were well informed on the dishes, and were guided to order things that we hadn’t tried before. We were pleasantly surprised with each serving. Starting with the poppadoms, we then tried the Vegetable Samosa. Simply incredible - everyone must try it! The mains were lovely and came out quickly after the starters. The dessert was also a lovely, which helped add such a special touch my Birthday night. Thanks team!

Probably the best gastronomic experience I've had in recent times. Delicious and balanced food. exceptionally kind and courteous service. The entire team works in harmony and in harmony with attentive attention to customers and the art of good service. Nice music to match the style of the restaurant. I recommend it to everyone.

We visited many restaurants in Adelaide, but I must say that British India is an authentic Indian restaurant which is second to none among all of them. The food, the service and the ambiance of this place are what make this restaurant standout from the rest. I highly recommend this restaurant for someone who's looking for a blend of tastier and healthier indian dishes in a hygienic environment.

Quite simply the best Indian food. Booked here last minute on a whim on the way into town, and couldn't have been happier with the experience. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, with a nice mix of ambient lighting, music and quality furnishings. Arun, the manager, was exceptionally hospitable and personable. Definitely the go-to place for great Indian food in Adelaide.

My partner and I are currently eating our way through the British India menu. This is probably close to the best Indian food I've ever eaten (and I've eaten a lot). I just love the subtle tastes and textures of the various dishes on the menu, and Arun is such a good host. I never knew that, in the main, we only get to eat North Indian cuisine in Adelaide. I also never knew that there are two butter chicken recipes (the British India and the Indian version). Try the Indian version, it's stunning. The restaurant has a lovely ambience and the staff are polite and friendly. I can't recommend British India enough. If you like fine Indian food then this is one restaurant you must visit.

Nice spot at the conner on Anzac Highway and just minutes away from the Adelaide CBD. Based my experience this is ons of the best Indian restaurant i have tried. The food is the star. The flavours are authentic, tasty and so balanced. Butter chicken and the Persian Lamb were just amazing. All the naan were so nice and freshly done. The foods tasted so fresh and beautifully done. I really liked the decor which matches the theme of the restaurant. The staff were nice and professional. Some points and suggestions to improve the experience: the waiting time was too long and the service was a bit slow. You could tell because of staff shortage. More importantly, the reception area was too noisy ( loud phone rings for long time and loud notification noises?) which were so distracting for the lovely ambiance. I will definitely visit this place more to try other dishes at this favourite Indian place. Well done to the team.

Visited for the 1st time this Saturday night. I am fed up with restaurants in Adelaide giving out mains before I have finished my starter and rushing us out of the door. Spoke to the waitress about this and she said they take their time, clear away all starters and make sure we are ready for mains to be delivered. The timing was absolutely perfect, the waitress was lovely as were the other wait staff. Food was great, selected a few starters and had British butter chicken as main, medium spice which was perfect. Will definitely be returning soon.

My husband and I had a beautiful first experience here. All of the servers were so lovely and very attentive, and we loved the food - plus had plenty leftover to take home. Atmosphere and lighting were really warming too and not too noisy, which made for easy conversation. We’ll be back!

My friend suggested we go here for our catch up. All the staff were lovely and food was delicious. Niharika was so friendly. The restaurant is elegant and felt fancier than other restaurants I’ve been to and still with a fair price for the meals. I took what I couldn’t finish home for hubby to try… guess what’s for dinner tonight? British butter chicken ! He loved it so much that I’m back her 2nd night in a row .

Lovely and cozy place, where you will always feel welcomed. The atmosphere is very quite and relaxing, just perfect to have a nice romantic dinner with your partner. The customer service is great, they are very focused on satisfying all your needs. We loved the cheese and chilli naan and we can’t to eat again the palak.

😐 American styled joint. Thick shake was thick enough. Chocolate peanut butter tasted so good. The ice cream was just a normal ice cream with a fancy name. Burgers are small in general. Buns were soft. Lettuces have shrunk. Shroom patty is the best here. Beef patty a little dry. Onion rings were crisp...

😠 I don't normally give negative reviews unless a product or service continues to disappoint. It's happened here at Vili's too often now. After purchasing a Pie and Kitchener bun drove back to work, pie was ordinary yet when it came to the Kitchener bun that was the final straw. Stale beyond belief, w...
