Had a great lunch here on Sunday. Awesome menu with plenty to choose from and great prices. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was amazing. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating - with lots of outdoor heating! Fully licensed venue. Highly recommend!

Hi we are just in from Christmas Lunch '23. Everything was lovely. Perfect traditional food and quite excellent wine list. Our waiter was the unflappable Brad (Table 19). Our 5th year me thinks. Thank you for taking care of our parents so beautifully (and I can relax too). Santa is always a treat. Sandra H.

We visited this hotel on the new year's day and stayed for three says. It's in a central location, and everything is nearby. We were with kids, so a Woolies at doorstep was a delight as my kids can ask for anything at any time. The hotel rooms are spacious and comfortable. The restro bar is nice, too, and has a variety to offer. We loved our stay, the food, and the drinks. Hotel Arkaba exceeded my expectations, to be honest.

Had a fabulous Melbourne Cup Luncheon experience with a group of friends. Service was excellent, and the food was perfect. Everyone at our table enjoyed the three course menu and the friendly staff who looked after us. Well done, Arkaba team. We will be back.

Excellent menu. Something for everyone. 11 at our table and all loved their meals. Slow cooked lamb roast a stand out! Lots of parking, large venue, with everything spread out. Vast wine list. I will go back.

We were phoned and told there would be an upgrade as they needed the room we had as they had a larger group to cater for. We were also offered a free Continental Breakfast. The room we were “upgraded “ to overlooked the Woolworth roof and car park (no city view like the other rooms) . The room had not been cleaned properly as there was mould in the shower, dust all over the water glasses and shelves, lip marks on the wine glass, and holes in the walls on entry. At breakfast they told us we were not on the list for complimentary breakfast. We explained that’s what we had been offered ..no apologies, just we are not on the list. The Manager then decided to let us have the Continental Breakfast as we named the staff member who we spoke with about it on check in….unlike other Hotels, this Continental Breakfast only consisted of cereal, toast or yogurt. No eggs, bacon or any other standard Continental options. We don’t mind basic accommodation, but it should be clean and maintained. We don’t mind changing rooms to an “upgrade” with complimentary breakfast. But make sure it is an upgrade and the breakfast is half decent. We had a great time at the Rumours Concert upstairs, bar staff were helpful, and made great cocktails, shower pressure was great and the location was close to the Fringe setup in the park.

Great staff. Stayed there during covid out break for 3 weeks had the whole place to myself virtually. Was walking around in my socks chilling out on the lounges in front of the fire. Now feels like home. Apart from the 100 dollars, they owe me. Anyone who hasn't stayed there, it is one of the best & hotels in Adelaide. CCTV has been upgraded on all floors, so your belongings are safe and secure. No weirdness. Easy check-in. The food is amazing. The front bar is perfect for summer. Has been one of the best for a very long time. Z

I stay here quite often due to the ease of getting around the city, the free parking, and the restaurant on-site. This time, there were renovations happening, so a little different. Normally I enjoy the food but they have changed the menu. It's not to my taste but maybe for others. Given that I did enjoy my meal. Would recommend and I would stay again.

I have stayed in one of the top rooms and was extremely happy with the size and comfort of the room. The food is of a very good standard. However, I'm not a fan of having to go to the counter to order my food when I'm paying this much. It's the same for drinks, and if you order a cocktail, expect to wait a long time.

I went to the restaurant for a Christmas dinner with a community club. The till and staff were making mistakes with the orders and trying to get us to pay for it or take whatever dish they had already made. The staff were all very unhappy and unfriendly. I can only imagine what changes management has made for the staff to be like this. On the other hand, the food itself was amazing and very tasty.

My dad stayed here for a few days, nice rooms and facilities. Due to dad's disability the room that was offered did not meet all his requirements initially but after notifying them of this they did everything they could to resolve the problem and did so very professionally. I highly recommend the Arkaba and will come back again for sure

By far the best pub/hotel food I have had in years. No exaggeration, even the Garlic Bread (OMG). Everything we ordered was outstanding. Do yourself a favour and book to eat here ASAP. I was so surprised, I was not expecting much but wow, was I wrong. A+++++

Very good location, just a short ride going to City Centre, accessible by Public transport or private Vehicle. Parking is very good too. Pub is just on the ground floor. There's a liquor shop just around the corner. My only concern is the lift. It doesn’t have security or access key. So anyone can access any floor. Breakfast was a bit slow. Pancakes that I've ordered was already cold when it hit my table.

Excellent Customer Service and very helpful staff. Lovely ladies served us promptly, helpful information of facility and how covid-safe check in works etc. Nice clean comfortable sized room and I loved the amenity 'Biology' organic skincare. Beautiful scent😍 Easy access for anywhere around Adelaide and they have Pokies & bars at hotel. Recommend for adults to stay non-school holiday time from interstate. So relaxing 😌

I just want to let you know while you sit down and enjoy your $30 barramundi with a sparkling champagne, the kitchen staff are being paid $11.99 an hour with the most atrocious working conditions. No lunch breaks. No over time paid for. Many people that i know who have worked there have developed drug dependencies in order to survive and function efficiently through their 16+ hour shifts. Would not recommend.

I recently enjoyed a delightful lunch at the Arkaba Hotel with my brother. The impeccable service and inviting atmosphere were surpassed only by the exquisite dishes we savored. From the appetizers to the main course, each bite was a symphony of flavors, showcasing the chef's culinary mastery. The Arkaba Hotel truly delivered a memorable dining experience, leaving us eager to return for another gastronomic adventure. Highly recommended!

I stayed here on level 4 for a work trip. Really comfy bed - was like sleeping on a warm, fluffy cloud!! Large, spacious roof. Really big desk/bench to work from. Large Smart TV. Complimentary Tim Tams, potato chips and bottled water - a really nice touch. Awesome location, with Woolworths supermarket and small specialty shops, cafes and a park, within a stone’s throw. Parking your car is challenging though, however the large hotel with bistro and pokies is clean, tidy and well maintained.

From arrival to departure the staff were friendly, warm, and helpful. The hotel is in a great location. We stayed on the second floor. The moment you open the door you are welcomed by a spotlessly clean room with crisp fresh linen. Big thank you to the room staff, you do a fantastic job. Reception staff were wonderful, well informed, and helpful. They are renovating now, and I will be excited to see the changes on our next visit. We did intend to watch the band playing that night, unfortunately there were latex balloons blown up in that location. I have a latex allergy and we couldn't be in that area. It is rare for businesses to use latex balloons as they are a single use product, they are not recyclable and break down into micro beads. This said, I am sure if I had asked the staff when booking to refrain from using them or to choose foil balloons in leu of latex, they would have been kind enough to accommodate this request, as they were very thorough in ensuring our room had been latex free.

I haven't experienced the rooms or service, but the sports bar is awesome and very reasonably priced for a family. Highly recommended as I went there for my daughters birthday and enjoyed it very much.

My partner booked the loft suite here for my 30th birthday, on the booking the rooms looked very lovely but as we arrived the room looked nothing like the photos that were online they should update that and also add in the actual info for each room, the bathroom had hair all through the bath shower and sink there was also dust all near the bed head and light switches, the TV remotes didnt work properly and had to be hit a few times just to work, reception were great about fixing those issues quickly by sending up house keeping and discounted the room with 10% off and giving us a complementary breakfast for the 2 days we were there. The cleaners that came in on one of the days had also broken my charging cable that was plugged into the wall reception said that they would email about it but didnt replace the item that was broken, I find that the staff are very lovely but the cleaners are very careless and rush on their jobs just to get out quickly. The breakfast was very very good highly reccomend, the room service is OK just by the time it gets there it is a little Luke warm, all in all we did have a great stay beds were super comfy we just had a few set backs that were easily fixed.

We now stay here whenever we travel to Adelaide, there is a small shopping center and woolies located right behind so easy to grab what snacks etc you need for your room without having to drive anywhere and a bottle shop also there, staff are friendly rooms spotless and comfortable and foods good.

Not that good when you've put countless time and money into something you expect to get a little help from management after bike chain was cut... wouldn't let me put $4000 bike in foyer while I had a drink and poke for 30 minutes to get my breathe back

The cleaning service did come and clean, at least they tried while we are still inside. The service of the hotel is good and they provide good complimentary snacks and drink too. The room itself looks nice although we know it is old. However, the aircond is not working, it feels really hot and dried, it has a weird sounds. We turn to 20C and we can't feel anything. The sink of the bathroom looks like it need a proper clean as if it has never been clean for a very long time. The location is good and near with everything but the hotel should email or let us know there is a road work, we really get confused as we can't enter the hotel easily. It is not in the city but it is close to everything very convenient. The food service in the hotel seems really good although we don't really use it.

This place was great, and we probably weren't the easiest guests. Stayed in the accommodation and ate the food - both were good. Only thing that did seem a tad unusual (but not necessarily bad) is they have two restaurants in the one room. 1/2 the room gets table service and 1/2 doesn't. Similar or same menu. I wonder if it might be worth just combining the restaurants?

Food has completely gone down hill Chicken was dry and over cooked When we requested more gravy to try and make the dry chicken edible the manager said we had to pay $3.00 more. When we expressed our dissatisfaction with our meal and we were unwilling to pay extra for the gravy she would not waiver. We will not return anytime soon

avoid at all costs if you want a consistent & pleasant experience. i have been here four separate times now due to ease & paid anniversaries/holidays - this is the closest hotel to me & is one of the only ones that has spas (which is the primary reason i use hotels). 3 out of 4 times the wifi that is ‘provided’ with the rooms has not worked, despite only ever booking the two most expensive rooms you can get here. last time there was a fire alarm that went off that they failed to clarify was a false alarm - not very peaceful or relaxing at all, and incredibly inconsiderate to fail to inform the people staying in your hotel it’s a false alarm (i only found out after stumbling out barely dressed into the hallway & heading down to reception). there is a 50/50 chance you will have cleaners randomly barge into your room, & if you complain, managers will rudely ask if you’ve ever attended a hotel despite failing to understand that their own cleaning is wildly inconsistent. the cleaners do not even clean well - stains & dark marks on the wall, this last room i was in had GUM ON THE WALL when we first entered. they ‘automatically’ keep doors locked that you have to request the key for - even though you’ve paid for (presumably, you’d like to hope) access to the whole room? terrible, rude service who will try to justify their own inconsistencies. which one is it? do the cleaners automatically come in every day or do they not? & if they do, why have they only ever come in half the time? & if they don’t, why do they barge in, see bags everywhere & still clean, before claiming they ‘didn’t realise anyone was still in the room’ when questioned? this is the last time i will be coming here unless Arkaba can figure out the ways in which they wish to run a hotel. the location is great, but the management & pretty much everything else about it is, frankly, abysmal.

Rooms are excellent. Good view. Pokie room had new games, staff were very helpful and accommodating. Only drawback is the power points are on the skirting board meaning it's to close to the ground when you need to plug in something with a bigger power adaptor. Which Tbh isn't really a massive issue unless your trying to plug in a doxy.

Disgusting service , staff refused to check us in due to my partner miss placing his ID, provided other ID as well as credit card which was used for the booking. Also provided the staff my ID and still refused us entry. Staff could see I was pregnant and still yet refused to help out. Wouldnt recommend this place to any one.

The Arkaba has changed so many times over the years, but I have to admit that it has most definitely improved immensely, and is like going to a totally new venue. The staff are amazing. They are very friendly, polite, helpful & very professional. The decor, live music, meals, rooms and the entire atmosphere of the place has improved. Would definitely recommend to all age groups (over 18) now.

I came through to the Arkaba Sports Bar on the 26/8 and the 28/8 with some friends. Both times we were served by a brunette girl Alyssa. She remembered our orders from our Thursday visit and came over to check if we wanted another round while happy hour was still on (it was ending in 10 minutes or so when she asked us). She kept the entire bar and table areas clean and she looked like she genuinely wanted to be at work as she was welcoming guests and laughing along with them with jokes. We will be coming back in the future! Hopefully with Alyssa as our bartender again! Also, great parmi and chicken wings!

I enjoyed the meals that I was served. One of the apprentices who preps the meals did an extraordinary job in marinated the pig intestines. His name is Isaac Shatwell. I very much enjoyed my stay. Thanks cuties x

Such an amazing bistro!!! Wish I had found this place sooner, my experience couldn't be better. We were really feeling disappointed because our original dinner reservation got cancelled at another restaurant due to some reasons and the staff here was happy to accommodate us on a Friday night at 9pm for dinner. Customer service was extremely good, and cannot fault the food - hats off to the chef for such delicious dishes - chicken parma, schnitzel, mushroom pizza and potato wedges. The portions are generously sized for the price. The drinks at the bar were really cheap and affordable before 10pm and we loved every bit of creation. Wanted to leave a personal note for the chef but by the time we checked, the chef had already left but nevertheless, one of the best experiences in Adelaide. Not to forget there was live music, and the place had a cool, calm and happy vibe all along 😊😊🍹🍹

Flew in from Streaky Bay for two days for a funeral. Explained to staff that we needed a room to get changed etc for funeral. Staff where very accommodating and organised a room at 11am. Rang room service to see if they had sewing kit as a button on suit had fallen off, they met our needs and delivered via room service😃 Food was fabulous, room was clean and lovely, staff where fantastic (especially the reception staff) Will be making The Arkaba our go to Motel when in Adelaide Well done 👌

A lovely Hotel to have a lovely relaxing evening. Cosy, intimate, atmosphere. Food,. Service,. Seating, all great. Plenty of rest rooms, wheel chair friendly. Lift to go upstairs. Great function room. Plenty of screens around the place to watch different things, eg: football. They have rooms to stay.

Ordered the lamb. Might as well ordered a slab of fat. Told waitress can not eat fat. Chef said nothing wrong with it. No refund no meal. No return customers. The only positive report is the bar staff. No table service either. I can't believe people eat there. The nourish bowl was the worst one my friend ever had so hopefully next time shows think twice about performing at Arkaba as none of us will be returning ever.

Rooms were very Spacious. Spa bath is Amazing. Staff is very helpful and friendly. 10pm Front counter is open later than most other motels. Price was a bit up there but is worth it just don't like having to pay the Expensive Bond of $150... Would be able to Enjoy more stays if that was Cheaper, making it a bit more Affordable. But all-out we were very happy with our Stay 😄

This is. my fav place to stay in South Australia very relaxing environment, with stone fire making the lounge area warm and nice, also small casino for fun time and staff very polite and humble, i got good deals twice as compare to other known hotels this one is much more better. Room was very nice and clean everything was so amazingly perfect for stay. Highly recommend . Try once you will not regret it..

Restaurant review only: Atmosphere and food are great. However, service is not very good. When I ordered a chicken schnitzel they didn't ask if I wanted half or full size. I wanted half but I didn't say anything (oops I forgot), then the dish came out defaulted into full size. In the end I was handed in a surprise bill.

Just want to give a huge shout out to Georgia from the Arkaba Hotel Gaming Room. I am a regular customer at the Gaming and Arkaba. She is the epitome of customer service. She was helpful, courteous, polite, humble, respectful and funny. If every one at the Arkaba was even half as competent as she is,the world would be a much better place. Hope your evey day is wonderful and lovely. Love your work keep it up. Great work Georgia.

My honest thoughts. Especially #3. 1. I was skeptical about the breakfast, but turned out to be one of the better ones than the cafes in the city. Next time I will eat within the the premises. 2. I thought this was a pure hotel so was a little surprised to see jackpot machines and bar. But then perhaps this is typical in SA. Not noisy or rowdy. 3. Unplanned power outage. This is why I would return again. There were destructive winds during the night and we woke up to no power. The morning reports said power would restore by 10am, then 1pm, and then 8pm. I approached the front desk to ask the staff what the plan was especially with aged parents. They provided torches but there would be no hot water for showers. Citing safety of elderly when walking around without lighting they agreed to have us moved to a partner hotel. Manager got on the phone and within 5 mins got us a room elsewhere. No charges involved. THIS is how to manage an unexpected operational problem, and glad to say that they didn't perfectly. Since power restored at 5pm we didn't eventually move. But they score a 5 in my books for this wonderful experience. Thank you Mr Manager and staff. :)

Went to watch sport in the evening, there was a good band on also, and it was a bit difficult to weave through the obstacles. Most of the staff were pleasant enough, but the dark haired lady behind the bar was most unpleasant and rude, which was weird as we had just walked in, never visited before, hadn't said a word and were just waiting.

We recetly had a private function in the Osmond room with o/s dignitaries. It was a bit of a culture shock for the staff, because it was a last minute booking and we had a tight program. The staff were exceptional and understanding, food was awesome. We'd book here again for similar future events. Thank you so much 💓
