The first down side on arrival was the sticky floor as we came into the main dining area. Had it been late in the day it might have been understandable, however it was the first sitting. The tables too were sticky and seemed as though just a wet rag had been run over from the previous days meals. As our food was served we were quite excited as the food looked awesome and very pleasing. Chips were cold and other servings were also look warm. On the taste side it was fair. Service was friendly which was probably the best part of the dining experience. Price is fair however you would expect hot food for the price.

The steak was very fatty and a bit tough. Being a steak house you would think it would have been better steaks. Next time I'll order a basic simple meal

Best chicken burger I have probably ever had! Im a fan and try all around south! 9/10 only because chips weren't hot. Pie got a 9 but overall 7/10 as there was only maybe 2 tablespoons of mash. Carrot would be nice to add.. but the prices are great. We would be happy to pay extra for a bigger serve of mash!

Service was very ordinary, we had a largish group, utilised the QR code ordering system and meals came in 29 minutes apart, the food was ok, steak was overdone, literally welldone on med/rare order and the beef snitzel was small and very average tasting, prices were fair if food was good but with the standard we received it felt overpriced, certainly won't be back and would suggest maybe ok for a few people but avoid if going in a group, the lack of table service and QR code system made it feel like you were eating at a Mc Donalds

Food is really yummy. I came with a group of friends from uni. The fish was slightly over cooked but still tasty

I hadn't been here for a while, it's recently been refurbished and looks great. I love the booths and open fire. The menu has all the pub favourites plus good vegetarian options, pizza and some great share plates. I was very impressed and will definitely start going there more regularly for weekend dining.

Great food and service My only comment would be the lovely outdoor area where I like to eat is also a smoking area, that’s the only down fall

We went here for lunch and ordered 2 meals: chicken schnitzel with gravy and rack of ribs. The rack of ribs was delicious. The meat was tender and fall off the bone. The chicken schnitzel on the other hand was disappointing. It was closer to a frozen chicken schnitzel that you can buy in the supermarket. The chicken was thin and the crumb was just normal bread crumb that hasn't been seasoned at all. The beer selection was very good with several nice craft beer on tap (and I don't mean Coopers).

Great service and super fast meals for a packed Friday night.

As a group of four adults and six children, we recently visited the Victoria Hotel. It is not the first time we had. This is a great pub to enjoy a meal and a chat. The young hospitality staff are friendly and helpful. Ordering our food was easy and even though it was a busy Friday night, we had a short wait to get our meals. The kids had a good range of meals to choose from. The adults had the chicken burger, two smoked brisket sandwiches and the seniors chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce. All of the serves were ample and tasty. Well worth visiting.

A very clean and well presented Steak House. Staff were friendly and helpful and were able to cater for food allergies. The portion sizes were good and the food was nicely presented (although personally we hate those baskets, bring back the plates please.) the steaks were cooked well and to the liking of each persons order. The chips were delicious. We were happy to see a steak and chips on the menu for kids. It does get busy so be prepared for a bit of a wait for food, but it’s not too long in comparison to other places. In summary, if you’re in the area and you’re after a steak in a family friendly place, then look no further.

Food is exceptional. We ordered and about 10mins later it came. There is a play area inside as well for the kids. It's big, tidy and a wide variety of food to choose from and local drinks as well. Kids menu is good. It definitely is worth it and happy to call it our local.

What a beauty of a location, live in the area and never took the time to swing in but then I found out they sponsor my children’s kinder gym and made the time. My children had a great time eating everything and anything they got their hands on. The team helped me with getting kid’s high chairs which was a great help. Grilled fish was excellent and staff were able to swap salad for veggies, great texture and flavour overall. Kids meals are all excellent serves and at a good price point. Pizza was gobbled up by kids, brick oven baked, just great. Sides were a fantastic thing to add on as they spread out the meal, wonderful softness of the mushrooms and brilliant crispness of the onion rings! Kids playground for us all to play around on was an excellent little finish.

Food was amazing! Although the service let us down! Not once did I get asked for drinks! I thought when you’re selling expensive meat for a pub, you need to match the service level like a restaurant.

Nice venue, well set out. I unfortunately got food poisoning from a steak. It can happen anywhere but unfortunately it happened to me, hopefully just a once off as it is a nice venue.

Well, I ordered steak minion and got delivered a standard one. I eat anyway. The steak was average and dry. I only mention this because it’s supposed to be a Grill. But I guess so is hungry jacks. Lastly the prices for steak and the quality are far far apart. $49. This has really turned into a sports pub/ bar. Pokies etc. if it’s your thing enjoy.

Booked for Christmas lunch and was given 2 hour time limit. Was told to order promptly due to number of people. After main course was advised to let staff know when requiring dessert. Asked staff 3 times that dessert hadn't been received. Last staff member was rather rude and said they were busy. After nearly an hour saw assistant manager who managed to serve us drinks and dessert. For the cost of the meal, wasn't impressed and won't be going back.

First time at this venue and visually it was lovely, however, the rest of my experience fell short. I ordered the 400G Rib Eye medium rare, with sauté vegetables and mash potato. The steak came out cold, it was over cooked, and there was no mash. First time in a long time that I have not finished my steak. Even the sauce couldn’t save it. No one smiled as they walked around; the service was quite lacklustre, it was a barebones pub experience. Very disappointing.

Multiple dining options available here, with inside, outside, views over the Mt Lofty Rangers, to mention a few, with a well set up Sports Bar area and spacious Pokie Room.. Pizzas made onsite, with a good Menu. The pub food is not bad, but the service can be on the slow side, with multiple follow ups required on drink and food orders on our last visit..

We visited in early December with friends, the Vic is one with visit regularly, friends ordered steak and roast which was tasty however both my husband ordered chicken snitzels which we’ve had before. The snitzels tasted processed a different consistency with little flavour not like we have had before. Not sure what has changed but very disappointed in our meal this time? Not planning on returning anytime soon regrettably

One star because we didn't stay to eat. Went to order share meat platter only to be informed that the share meat platter off the menu tonight along with the seafood share platter!! This is supposed to be a grill restaurant and basic food on a small menu isn't available. This can only be poor management. Had a very nice meal at the Flagstaff instead. Lift your game management or get out. To respond to the poor excuse supplied thanks but no thanks won't be back because this is not the first time management haven't been able to provide what is on a small basis menu, who would have thought pork belly lamb chop or seafood was hard to get, this is just poor customer service loaded with excuses.

Good atmosphere and location. The one vaguely vegan option on the menu was not available on the day. I ended up with a beetroot salad that was all rocket and very little else. Not worth the money I paid for it. Not a vegan friendly pub. In their defence, they don't pretend to be.

My husband and I came for our wedding anniversary last night and had the most amazing steaks cooked to perfection 😉 The service was also fantastic with super helpful and friendly staff. The atmosphere is lovely with beautiful views. Thank you for a wonderful night 🙂

Meals are far less food then anywhere else for the same amount of money, esp the schinzel, a half serve of snitzel at other restaurants is more than a whole serve here, Caesar I had to cut up everything and it was extremely bland, kids meals are tiny, add a few more chips it costs less to nothing. Disappointing cause its our local and never had an issue before...

I have been going to the Victoria Hotel for about 25 Years and generally have a good dining experience over all. They normally serve great meals including including the usual steaks and roasts etc. However last night I ordered a beef Parmi and was quite disappointed. It was made from processed meat that resembled the consistency of a factory made rissole. These Beef Schnitzels are not up to the hotels usual standard and I'm surprised the head chef would serve them up to hotel patrons. I will be back but will order something else next time.

The chicken schnitzel was well less than half the size elsewhere and was processed chicken, not the real thing. The lamb roast had a huge amount of fat on it, and the kids chicken tenders only had 2 on the plate and minimal chips. The chicken Caesar salad was...weird.. never seen anything like the chunky, uncut presentation that arrived. The garlic bread was...yes....flat as stipulated on the menu, but not what we wanted anyway, and tasteless and...flat!! Been here many times before and loved it, but standards have slipped considerably. Probably won't be back

Top place to eat and friendly service . Children friendly with an enclosed play room for them . Try their delicious food like grilled barramundi or lamb shanks done in curry sauce . This definitely worth a check out

Difficult review for me as usually we get good service here. However, a couple of weeks ago we dined here. It was a cold night and the fires were raging, but not enough to counter the air conditionier venting cold air directly on to us and our guests. Asked the wait person if it could be adjusted with the reply that they would speak to the manager. Nothing was done and we suffered a very uncomfortable evening. Sent an email to the management a week ago. Still not heard from anyone. We will still go back but will ensure we request a table not under the ac outlet.

Was there Saturday, first time since the 90's 🤣 Never had a beef schnitzel that was like eating a giant chicken nugget, but beef flavour 🤢 was sick for hours after. Great place to get drunk, but forget the food

well aged tender meats no question about it, however can be a bit bland in taste for the price paid ie $48 for Scotch fillet. Cooled to perfection and on time.

Great place for lunch. Good food at a good price in a very comfortable setting. What I liked most was that while they were very busy, we didn't wait long for our meal and drink service was very prompt. They obviously had enough staff on to cope and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We waiter 45min for our meals. Sticky ribs - well I think the chef really needs to get a job that he loves, less than ordinary. Crispy skin salmon, excellent obviously a different chef. Overall experience 2.5/10

This is our go too place for a steak. Medium rare and perfectly cooked. We attended on Mother's Day and once again weren't disappointed. We were tempted with the specials but just couldn't go past the steak ... again!

Absolutely 💯. The greeting by Jess was so welcoming, made it feel like we were family. Service was fast and efficient, Tom was so helpful in his recommendations on food and wine. Can't wait to come back to see both Tom and Jess.

Fast, fresh and reasonably priced service. Excellent parking, fast wait times and the food is above average. The drinks were great and the atmosphere was relaxed. A great pub meal with a nice experience to top it off. Definitely going back.

Really nice open atmosphere with fireplaces in the winter & a fantastic view! Staff are always friendly & accommodating & the meals large & tasty! I've taken many friends & family here to catch up & dine, & my only 'small' complaint would be that sometimes our meals come out warm rather than hot. All in all however a lovely dinning experience & would highly recommend!

The service was friendly and prompt and the food was generously sized pub fair. This was for a mid-week lunch .

The rump steak I ordered was not cooked quite right and very chewy - despite the fact that I did not eat the steak and staff overheard me actually say “this is the worst steak ever” no one even enquired if everything was ok ? At the end when I ask for a doggy box - as this more than lousy steak is going to be chicken food, again very poor service not to even ask how was your meal did you enjoy it ? One can excuse a badly cooked steak but bad service on top of it is not nice. Not the cheapest steaks neither. The cocktail was nice - other than that I would not recommend.

Drove up to Victoria Hotel for dinner have a good range of food to choose from from your normal schnitzel to your steaks very good range of steaks with good choices of sides and sauces meals were good portion only thing I would say was the chips for cold when it arrived meals are priced above average to other places.

This place has truly leveled up since I last attended. Nice, spacious indoor area. Little, charming smokers section. A nice view of the hills in the distance. Solid pub food (I ordered the chill salt squid) and some good specials on the board (the $7 imperial pints of Carlton draught had me wanting to make this particular Sunday evening a big night!!!) No complaints from me at all!

The food is consistently good and it's quite a varied menu however at times the young staff act like they'd rather be anywhere else.

A bit underwhelmed by dinner this week. Ordered a couple of schnitzels and the meatlovers pizza. Schnitzels were...ok. pretty tasteless and almost looked like one of the processed type, or a chicken breast that had been pounded into something thin. It looked heavily herbed in the crumbing but didn't really taste of anything. Pizza again was nothing exciting, not a lot of topping and almost a flatbread base. Staff were friendly and Hotel is nice and clean - but we wont be rushing back for a feed. Surprising as in these times I would have expected more with the complaints from hospitality and pubs trying to get more patronage.
