Oh my goodness, where to begin! Due to COVID my wife and I decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary by getting dinner from a local black owned business. Everything was really good. To start, their beef patties are the best in town! The jerk chicken plate was tasty, however, I was a bit saddened the the chicken didn't have more jerk flavor, and we asked for sauce on the side but were disappointed to see it was omitted when we got home. The salt fish plate was authentic which I appreciated, though not my favorite item on the menu. The cabbage and the rice and peas are both BOMB! Finally, we don't often eat oxtails but they did not disappoint! We will continue to support this place. Heads up, be prepared to wait a while unless you call ahead.

I had jerk chicken it was really good and flavorful. My friend had oxtails and they all consisted of just fat literally no meat . When my friend brought it to the employee attention she just said “im sorry nothing i can do about that” I would of appreciated if they offered alternative meal or offered to give money back. Instead she offered nothing but an apology which doesn’t suffice for money spent and wasted.

I love this place. Was hoping for a decent jerk chicken. I got much more. The flavors were fantastic and there was a bit of a kick. The plantains, cabbage and rice were also well done. This place is a hole in the wall but the folks are super nice and the food is really good!

First time and the last time! Sixteen dollars for a curry chicken plate and the chicken was undercooked and bland. The skin on the chicken was slimy like the chicken was boiled and then the sauce was added. Customer service was friendly, but slow. Service is through a window due to the pandemic and masks are required.

As hungry as I was, after entering the establishment I only ordered 1 beef patty just to show support. However, it was more on the cold side and was surprised when the cashier said $4.83 I gave him 5 singles and he never made an effort to give me my change. 1st and last

Yesterday, I ordered a large oxtail plate & they accidentally gave me jerk chicken. Unfortunately, they closed before I could go back. Today, not only did they give me my oxtails, they also gave me a refund! I’m so happy and their food is so good!! Between the food & customer service, I am a loyal customer. Thank you Hakeem & the rest of the staff - y’all are the best!!!

The only place to get actual D&G Genuine Jamaican ginger beer in the Western hemisphere, legit Jamaican food, mostly Jamaican customers and a very friendly vibe. Expect to be engaged in conversation by the other patrons. It turns out they have their own app so order direct from them otherwise GrubHub or whoever will keep half the money, if you don't want to install an app then text them at 33733 to order

100% best caribbean food in southern Cali. The food is not only flavorful but fragrant with the herbs and spices. I tried the Jerk chicken , curry chicken, oxtails and festivals and issa 10 outta mf 10. Im antiguan so I got high standards for my caribbean food and they def exceeded my expectations.

My first time. I could not taste the food for the 🧂 salt. Overwhelming…. Even the steam veggies were salty. What a waste. I hate wasting food and money.

I recently took my Jamaican born boyfriend here to get his seal of approval for this establishment. It was okay. Service was fair. I'm not running back here but if I'm in the area. The location is inconspicuous and unless you're a local or if not for the WEINERSCHNITZL signage you would miss it in a blink of an eye. The fresh ginger cucumber drink is very delicious. Curry chicken underwhelming and the oxtails was loaded with Browning additive.

Great tasting food if they get your order correct. We ordered online via Hilton Honors dining, so I assumed they would pay attention to the order. We order four meal with some sides and ginger beers totaling $111.40. We arrived 5 mins after the pickup, to make sure the order would be ready. However the order was not ready and i had to wait 30 minutes for my food. Long story shot be papared to wait and wait and wait. Check your food to make sure you have what you ordered after wating. The chef will come out and apologize about the mixup everytime like clock work. Time is precious can spend it WAITING. This has happend more than once so I had to give 1 star.

One of the reasons why this place doesn't get 5 stars is not because their food is missing something but because every time I have went, no matter the time of day, they never have any deserts which can be very disappointing. Another reason is that the little shopping plaza they are Iocated in is a very tight squeeze and parking can be rough. The food though! It is bussing! Delicious, well seasoned. If I could overlook the other things I mentioned, I would give them 5 stars, cause their ox tail is THE BOMB!

Solid Jamaican option. Their jerk chicken lunch plate is the best deal you’re gonna find for lunch. $9 for three pieces of perfectly grilled jerk, rice and beans, veggies, plantain and festival. Support this place so it stays around.

I use to go here to get the jerk chicken patties (nice shredded chicken) all the time. Then, for a long time they had no patties at all. Then, I called and they said the patties were back. When I bit into the patty it was not shredded chicken it was slop. You could not tell what was in it. Simply horrible. My advice stay clear unless you like slop. New management? I won't be going back. I miss my patties :(

The female has to be the worst receptionist or cashier I have ever encountered!! First of all she misinformed me of the times when food would be ready! And after ordering online because she told me 45 minutes, she cancelled my order! I’ve been here before and the other workers hate so respectful! She even hung up the phone on me. Talking about I should call back to speak to a female owner or something like that!! Worst restaurant customer service ever !!! I’ve never spent less than $50 at this restaurant and I will never ever order from here again!!!

Just saying, it’s all about the favor, the oxtail was not cooked tender enough. The flavor of the jerk chicken was only on the outside, under the skin was dry, dry, dry! We’ve had better!

Ordered Ackee plate with ground food; asked for no dumplin and received cold, not to tasty look like they gave me one banana cut into pieces, and got 3 dumplin that I did not want. Sadly paid $27.00 for an incomplete meal. Some customers are REAL JAMAICAN’s and expect the best and not the less FAM. Bad enough it’s expensive JAH JAH Keep it real Iya This plate was a DISRESPECT to our CULTURE Maybe the Chef was tired IDK🤦🏾‍♀️

If you’re going to eat here be fully prepared to practice patience. They will take their time and still charge a premium for their food. Having opportunities to practice patients is a good thing 🧘🏾‍♂️ It’s like the DMV but for Jamaican food.

Best oxtails in the city but you can order online, call ahead or even plan ahead and you will STILL be waiting at least 30 minutes for your food. That's not a problem but the area isn't the best in the world so waiting out on the street for food can raise issues. The parking lot is super small and people back into other peoples' cars often. The food is good but the elements are horrible.

I placed an order here on 1/14/24 through uber eats for pick up and the app notified me that my order would be done at 11:13am so I drove from Woodland Hills to pick it up and the restaurant was closed my husband looked through the window and it was dark and empty. I tried cancelling my order within the app but because no one ever answers the phone at this business they kept my money because no one is able to verify verbally that the restaurant was closed $60.00 for 2 small oxtail plates and 2 orders of the corn bread uber eats is no help the business is very unprofessional which is a shame to be in a black community. so order from them at your own risk. Sucks because the food is actually decent.

The quality of food lately has been simply dreadful. Semi-cooked plantain, old and hard festival bread the size of worms. Do better. Have more pride it what yall serve.

I don’t know what those people are talking about. As for me??? The service was A1 and the food even better especially the jerk chicken, it was super authentic. I highly recommend trying out this restaurant. Next time I’m in LA I’ll most definitely be visiting again.
