Absolutely wonderful spot to camp. Rachel was such a great host, very welcoming and a joy to talk with. Beautiful spot of land with nature walks right outside the tent. Wonderful spot to have a fire and chill out. Amenities are great, bathroom and communal kitchen and lounge areas. Will definitely be back when we are in the area.

Friendly but when she has to reimburse you because you paid to much things change she then ignores you and won't give it back after telling you that she will give you cash and isn't anywhere to be seen. And her husband is a creep always watching you and looking in your van/ trailer and they hate more then 1 dog your dog MUST BE SEEN NOT HEARD and they love to speed with children around. We are honest why can't they be.

Great kitchen, tv room, table tennis, toilet and shower, just too cold this moment….and when you are showing, you need waiting for hot water, it takes time. $25/n for unpowered tent site. Lots of tracks and trees, I love it!!! Also the manager is kind, I’m happy come to visit again!

We didn't reserve, we called and spoke to Karen before the reservation and met Michel her husband when we arrived. Very friendly and nice. We felt at home in this campsite. 3 "room/areas". 1 where there is the ping pong and free wifi. The kitchen and dining room which is fully equipped, oven, kettle, toaster, fridges, freezers. The living room : TV, billiard, games. Perfect as it was really cold and at least we had somewhere warm to stay. Warm and clean showers. We paid 28$ for 2 people a night unpowered +8.50$ per extra adult per night. They don't take the card. The camp area is in a circle shape. It is a little on a downhill (we had site NΒ°15). Around 30 minutes from Adelaide in the country side, a few winding roads and hills.

Lots of positives: camp kitchen with seating for about 25 people, oven, cooktops, fridges, crockery and cutlery, utensils, pots and pans; washing machine and dryer for $2 per 10kg load; shower and toilet block has some nice features including modern hand dryer; TV/lounge room with Netflix and table tennis; lots of grass and shade; lovely area to hike around including a lake and small obstacle course suitable for children to enjoy, large fire pit with ample seating, outdoor tables and chairs provided, tree rope swings for the children; affordable for large families as you only pay for first 2 children; friendly and informative caretakers. The only aspects I would change is remove some of the extra items lying around that make the place look a bit scruffy and less safe for younger ones and remove used kitchen sink cloths daily and replace with fresh. These are minor points hence my 5 star rating. We had a great time even though it rained constantly. We will happily return.

I could not recommend Shiloh Hills more! This place is just perfect. Rachel and Michael are such good hosts, they are dedicated to their guests. We stayed a couple of weeks back and have already returned. Facilities are great, hot water, clean amenities and lots of space to spread out.

What a beautiful place! My daughter and I came for 3 nights, more than a month later, still here. Gorgeous bush property, with numerous tracks to explore and abundant native wildlife. The hosts are so kind and accommodating with a wealth of knowledge about the area. Easy access to Adelaide and surrounding tourist spots. Very highly recommended! -Tina and Gwen

Beautiful location with fantastic facilities and owners who clearly care about guests. We had some amazing recommendations for cellar doors from Racheal and some great advice about seeing local wildlife from her husband. The walks around the grounds are lovely. I would recommend staying here to anyone!

Terrible. The owner is a bossy woman who ruined our weekend by following us around telling us off constantly. Blamed us for mess we didn't create. Made us move by inches to satisfy her ideals of where cars, vans and people should be. We were cautioned repeatedly before 7pm about being contentious guests without having done anything wrong. I eventually asked her to leave us alone until we did something wrong. She was constantly claiming laws to make us do things. Apparently from 10pm, the law prohibits fire pits. If she didn't want us sitting around a firepit after 10pm, she should own that decision. You can easily get bogged with little wet weather. Her husband got cranky when we parked in a spot to unload goods, because it was deemed a fire track,... that I understand, but then he parked in it, then he sped around in his ute while we had kids everywhere. I'll never visit again. If someone invites me, I'll make it clear that I am a grown man with respect for others, and responsibilities that should have my guests and I treated with respect. Not spoken to like disobedient child with an impatient parent.

What a great little-known oasis this is! Awesome grassed sites with fantastic views, close to Blackwood and the city and great prices. So quiet at night your sleep won't ever be disturbed. The owners are just the best, friendliest people you would ever want to meet. Just make sure you come via Ackland Hill Road if towing a van (ignore Maps suggested route down Pole Road - it's not suitable for vans).

This family orientated campground is an awesome gem. You can hear and see koalas in front of your campsite, can't get any better! Very helpful and lovely management team, Rachel and Mike are the best. We planned to stay for 2 nights but stayed almost 5 weeks over the silly Xmas season as we had several car issues. Rachel always ensured we can stay, which was great peace of mind and so appreciated. Great facilities with camp kitchen and huge dining table where different travellers meet and connect. Fiona ensured the kitchen and bathrooms were clean and spotless every day, but some travellers manage to get it dirty in no time. Great locations for day excursions and city trips. The atmosphere over Xmas and New year was very unique, so family friendly with the kids playing on the open field. I would give 10 stars if I could, very affordable and beautiful campground!

Absolutely fantastic spot, beautiful scenery, amazing friendly hosts, clean amenities. We booked originally for 2 nights ended up staying 7 it was that good, koalas in the trees, plenty of shelter from the wind. We stayed in campsite 7, the unpowered sites are snug however. If you stay here please be considerate to the person next to you by not starting your car at 4 in the morning for a hour idling and do not speak full volume french until 2am. Don't be the reason to deprive a whole campsite of sleep! Will definitely be back!

Lovely campsite with lots of walking trails and clean modern bathrooms. The owners were very nice and you could tell they were passionate about the property. They helped up set up a fire and made sure we were enjoying our stay.

This is an absolutely brilliant spot to camp when exploring Adelaide & the Adelaide Hills. The owners Rachel & Michael are just lovely and went above & beyond to make us feel welcome and help accommodate us (even when we turned up unannounced over the Easter long weekend). Awesome value, wonderful grassed bush setting, lots of home comforts for the camper & nice clean facilities - highest rating +

I have stayed here many times. It's awesome. Private, quiet and very special. The hosts are the best of people. I was here when the disrespectful family of Alex stayed here the other day and am disgusted by his juvenile and narcissistic review. Looking at his other reviews a pattern of ignorant entitlement and petty keyboard attacks is pretty clear. Bluntly put, the owners should have kicked you out, without any refund, much sooner. I feel sorry for any other places that have to deal with you, and any travellers that have to stay within a hundred metres of you on your travels. Honestly you should be ashamed. Your behaviour and dogs uncontrolled behaviour was extremely unpleasant and distressing for others. I am aware of some pubs in rougher areas that allow sleeping in their carpark after drinking. Perhaps you'd feel more at home there. And your claims about leering or whatever are disgusting. The owner you are referring to has serious eye issues and can barely see at the moment, so does squint a bit. Your interpretation of this as creepy simply shows your ignorance, lack of awareness and respect and your ignorant and self absorbed character. You should apologise and remove your review, and seek some mental health feedback. To all the mentally healthy and respectful people: Shiloh is a very special place. I highly recommend it to respectful people looking for a sanctuary to stay and explore. Hopefully people like Alex and his family don't slip in too often, but I guess we've all had encounters like this. Don't let this childish and petty review influence your choices.

What a wonderful area to stay and to relax. If you love nature you defenetly have to go there. One of the most wonderful Campground owners we have met. Rachel is so passionate about her job and is really interested in the people who are staying there. She is looking for you and making sure you have everything. Just lovely - the area as the people there <3

An amazing experience with great amenities like showers, laundry, kitchen and lounge area for guests. Great for camping in a tent and very wonderful owners who formed us of everything we needed to know to safe and comfortable. Thanks so much for having us ☺️

Spent a lovely week here, Rachel and her husband were very welcoming of us and our pooch. Such a beautiful location and best camp kitchen we’ve found on our travels so far. We found it the perfect hub to explore the local area; close to Adelaide, Hahndorf and many wineries (some great recommendations from Rachel). Would definitely visit again.

Looking to unwind we found, right at our door step, this peaceful hidden gem amongst the beautiful scenery of the Adelaide Hills. With our camper van set up on the oval over looking the bushland, it was so relaxing enjoying a bottle of local wine . Very friendly and welcoming owners. Wineries & eateries nearby. This is the perfect place to connect with nature. We loved it !!

A gem near AdelaΓ―de… Located in the middle of the parc! The owner Rachel is extremely nice and helpful! We saw a kangourou and our first koala around the camping, it was amazing! It is a very good quality/ price ratio! I recommend this place

Had no place to stay as everywhere else was booked out for peak period but rachel accommodated us for the night. Had the best night by the fire pit. Great hospitality and some nice short walks around the property. Check out the prayer mountain early morning if you have time.

Perfectly located little campsite near Adelaide. Great to get to any wineries/into the city. Hosts are both beautiful and friendly people. Will be staying here every time I come to Adelaide

Quiet family oriented campsite, about 30min from Adelaide city and popular sites like Port Noarlunga. The drive up is pretty, through the Adelaide hills area. The unpowered area we stayed in is smallish, but everyone was mindful of others (e.g. quiet by 10pm) and the stay was very enjoyable. Clean toilets and nice hot showers. Friendly camp management.

Google takes you to a church, access to the campsite is the next drive way along from the church. I intended to camp there for one night and stayed for 3. Awesome location, awesome facilities, meet some awesome people who were also camping there. Great experience!

CONS: Not the best place for beginners as owners are not much helpful though we have mentioned that it’s our first time camping. Campsite have got strict rules which were not advised before the booking. So make sure you inquire about that. Ex: campsite is in curfew state after 10pm. Not friendly welcoming for non-english speaking people - that’s how they sounded to us when they see our parents. Maybe they don’t like non-english people at all. Campsite is not levelled properly so maybe check that before booking to make sure you get a better spot. Private road is too steep and pot holes everywhere before you get to the campsite. Payments are cash transferred to their business but no process to provide receipts which the owners can improve in future. Pros: Campsite location is good with a nice view.
