What's not to love about Elder Park. Great views of the city of Adelaide. Always amazing festivals, concerts and city get togethers. The manicured park with a heritage gazebo, the Torrens River, foot bridge with waterfall all make this a great space. Highly recommended

We come here every few years for either Australia Day or New Years because it is just such a great place to be a part of. Also a great spot for the fireworks and the live shows as celebrations

Has improved over the years. Such a lovely spot. Accessible via public transport, limited street parking. Love that events are run throughout the year and highlights how great things SA has to offer. No toilets nearby

Elder Park is one of the most famous parks in Adelaide. Various large-scale events are often held here, such as New Year's Eve performances and fireworks show. This is the widest and most beautiful section of Torrens River. Water projects such as Paddle Boats and BBQ Buoys are very interesting.

I come here pretty often but most recently for the lucky dumpling festival. Such a massive park for nature and environment . Great view of the river and it’s an amazing place to have a picnic. Amazing for New Year’s Eve fireworks as well. Great place to take kids to for fun or for a date. Good place to have a walk.

When we visited Elder park, the OzAsia Festival or the Dumpling Festival was going on. The park is very neat and we'll maintained. It was lit with thousands of lanterns. The lake besides added beauty to it. Also we could see the Adelaide Oval from the park which is amazing at night and is lit with rainbow coloured lights.

Very spacious and centrally located green park in Adelaide. Almost close to everything: festival center, stadium, casino, school, malls and historical landmarks. Very famous park for where New Year Eve and Adelaide Day fireworks usually held. Situated right next at the Torrens River. Amusing rainbow light colors of Torrens Bridge is really nice to watchover from this park. As well as the city lights from high rise buildings within the area. With plenty of amusement and entertainment activities like water paddle boats, cruises and BBQ buoys. The is a family friendly park, great for outdoor bonding, with nice walking trails. Most of the historic statues and memorial monuments are located at the back side of this park.

The new year fireworks display was breathtaking. Thousands of people gathered at elder park grounds to welcome the new year. The band was playing enthusiastically throughout the night. Had a really great time. Probably the best free new year experience anyone can have it the city of Adelaide.

Went to Carol's by Candlelight, paid $70 for Gold class ticket. It rained the whole time, couldn't use the ticket. They should have Gold Class under cover in wet weather, we pay enough for the tickets!

A great place to visit for relaxation and time outdoors. Gorgeous at night with all the RGB glowing over the bridge. In the day time the view is just as beautiful with a river running through the park.

Elder Park brings back excellent memories of lovely evening and early morning walks. The river Torrens, Adelaide festival arts centre, Adelaide Oval, Adelaide Casino, Adelaide Convention Centre, and North Terrace with museum and arts centre, are all within conveniently close distance. I am not sure if the Popeye ferry still runs up and down the Torrens ricer, but that also used to be part of this lovely part of Australia.

Great park in the centre of Adelaide CBD open for walks, events etc. We recently attended the OZAsia festival and it was organised well as the park provides ample space for visitors.

The superb place we covered evening and night times at 31st but no fireworks due to this covid a bit disappointing. Overall I enjoyed walking and relaxing at this place spent more than 2hrs.

Elder park is very beautiful. Located off-center in the lake is a fountain. Swans swam gracefully across the lake. When we stroll past tinkling fountains and perfumed gardens, is enjoyable.

Beautiful park for a walk or jog, with some of the most fabulous views of Adelaide. Some of our wildlife is always here, close to cafes for those wanting a cuppa. Love it.

I love Adelaide and I love Elder Park. This is a place where you can enjoy nature while visiting the city. Walks along the river, beautiful city views which look quite futuristic to me as Adelaide is being transformed. It gets even more romantic at night.

Nice place for a stroll, there are the paddle boats the ones u use ur feet to power at the river to hire. Just a place to sit enjoy a breather and relax

Good facilities, beautiful packages, good walking and cycling lanes along the river. Great place for larger functions. Good photo scenes, foot bridge from one side of the river providing access from Adelaide festival centre to Adelaige Oval. Very little free parking unless you are willing to walk a distance, else ticket parking available around surrounding streets or parking complexes at the festival centre or behind. Will worth spending a day pinicing by the river or for walks.

A very beautiful location at the heart of the city. This place itself is beautiful. Also various types of multicultural programs are happening through out the year. Some are even free entry. So a great opportunity to experience others culture, taste different cuisine and explore different music. If you are lucky, may get the opportunity to see fireworks ‌, mostly organise by event people, so it's not guaranteed. Easy access by tram, train, car, cycle. Enjoyable for all ages. The cityscape looks beautiful.

Went to Lucky Dumpling Market. Park was set up great with a lot of shaded seating. Unfortunately TMR Dumplings charged me $19 for a small half bowl of rice!!! That ruined the experience

Huge open park with multiple bridges. The place is often used for major events and is a good cycle route. The main paths are well lit and the bridge has coloured lights at night. There’s a massive river going through the park that is often used by people in canoes or rowing teams

This year for the new year's event at elder park, the lawn got blocked off and entry denied as there were supposedly too many people. Although it is understandable it was still quite a let down as some people got denied access even though the rest of their families were inside and they were not. Although, the fireworks were pretty amazing and I look forward to better arrangements next new year's eve.

Elder park is one of Adelaide's best known and most popular public recreational facilities. The lawned area lies between the Festival Centre, King William St and the River Torrens, on the opposite side of the river to Adelaide Oval. It's the venue for many major public events including New Year"s fireworks, Christmas carols and ethnic festivals. And it has an ornate Victorian era rotunda and a dock where you can catch the Pop Eye sightseeing boat or a much smaller paddle boat.

The entrance queue was very long since we went on Saturday around 7.00pm. A whole variety of cuisines to try. It's a good idea to carry a sheet to spread on the grass so you can sit and relax while someone from your group stands in line to purchase the food. as all the seating was full. Reasonable rates but small portions. Overall, it was a good family outing.

A classic Adelaide icon and the centre piece of many Adelaide festivals, the Elder Park Rotunda is likely to outlive most of us gracing Adelaide with its classic Victorian Design for many years to come.

Few of the major events happen here, like new year celebrations. This is beside oval and Karrawirra Parri river. You have free parking for approximately 3hrs on the other side of road in the intersection of king william rd and Victoria Dr. There is festival plaza tram station very near by and bus stops as well.
