What a phenomenal gym. Not only are the equipment and facilities brand new and amazing, but the coaching staff is highly trained and can accommodate all levels of fitness. I especially enjoy the stocked fridge after a long and sweaty workout. The owners are constantly seeking feedback and making adjustments to better serve its athletes. This team will continue to grow and I am so glad I get to be a part of it.

I switched to Invictus a few months ago and am loving it! I've always worked out regularly, but this is my first time trying CrossFit. Despite Invictus being an elite gym, the atmosphere is welcoming and patient. A huge reason for this is the coaches. I've spent the most time with Coach Nick, and he is fantastic. So grateful I have Invictus in the neighborhood!

My husband and I relocated to D.C for a few months and have been delighted to join Invictus. Finding the right gym was a priority for us, even for a short time. The facility is absolutely amazing, spacious, clean, and accommodating for big groups/classes. With personable coaches who get to know you, correct you, encourage you, and are willing and able to provide scaling options…you are well taken care of! The programming is amazing as well. Very intentional. We cannot recommend this facility enough and we are so happy to be able to join this crew!

I've had the best experience at Invictus. I joined in the spring and have been impressed by the class programming, the knowledge of the coaches, and the great atmosphere. The coaches are great at correcting my form when it's off and giving me other great tips to help me progress. I'm here for a challenge, and that's what you'll get, no matter your level. And when you're struggling, your gym mates will cheer you on!

I have been doing CF and dropping in on various gyms since 2009. Invictus blew me away. The gym was spotless. The equipment was brand new and plentiful. However, the coaching and atmosphere were a game changer. In one single class, I was taught three things that I had not been aware of over the last 13 years. Drop in and see them when you are in DC or join them if you are local. I wish they would open one in my neck of the woods near Philly. This place is incredible.

Mike Paesano is a top notch CrossFit athlete and an amazing owner. The Washington, DC area is better because CrossFit Invictus is helping keep the community fit and healthy. This is a must visit place if you are traveling to the area. Thank you for the hospitality, Mike!

Was lucky enough to drop in here for a couple months. The biggest box with the nicest equipment that I’m aware of in DC. Room for open gym. Perfect mix of competition and community. All the coaches are 12/10 and really focus on technique/safety (gotta shoutout David for his knowledge and push - best of the best). This place is for anyone. If you’re looking to drop in, improve your fitness, or get in shape around great people, give it a shot!

5 Stars. This is my home gym and my first experience with crossfit. They have a stable of friendly coaches that pay lots of attention to each athlete's needs. I find myself asking for lots of input and always have a coach happy to help. Looking forward to getting better not only at crossfit but at basic movement functions. 10/10

I have been a member of this gym for about 1.5 years and I joined being very amateur at CrossFit. I was initially very intimidated to join a CrossFit gym but I quickly loved the class formats and the amazing coaches. The coaching is top notch and I’ve learned how to do exercises with correct form instead of creating bad habits from the start. Another thing that stands out is the cleanliness of the gym and the fact that they have ‘open gym hours’ to accommodate everyone’s schedule! I have officially drank the cool aid!

Invictus is hands down the best place to train in D.C. They cater to all performance levels; you can bring in your mom for her first time doing CrossFit, or join the competitive team to compete at the highest level. Invictus takes recovery as serious as training- they're outfitted with a suite of Hyperrice tools like Normatec boots for all to use and have an adjacent physio staff. Within the gym is also an (olympic) weightlifting club, with again both complete beginners and a nationally competitive team. You will forge life-long bonds at community at Invictus, from the great social atmosphere and group activities done inside and outside the gym. So why are you still reading this review and not signing up already???

Amazing gym! Very clean and top notch equipment. The layout is awesome too with a separate side just for open gym workouts so you aren’t bothered or interrupted by classes. Can’t beat the coaches and programming everything here is great for all levels of CrossFit.

Hands down, best gym ever. The community is super warm and welcoming, the space is huge, the equipment is top notch, and the coaches are legit. If you had asked me even just 1 year ago if I'd ever do CrossFit, I'd laugh. Now, I love it. As a newbie, I was still able to complete the workouts because the coaches are so knowledgable + helpful to make sure you are safe and comfortable but appropriately challenged so you walk away from every workout feeling SO accomplished (and perhaps even surprised!) Whether you're a CrossFit champ wanting to up your performance, or someone like me who likes to workout and improve general fitness, this is where you need to be!

Initially I was planning to drop in only one day while at a conference but the coaches (special shout to Dave) and the environment was so welcoming that I ended up going back for a repeat :) the box is one of the cleanest and neatest I’ve ever been to. Definitely maintaining the high Invictus standard 👏

In town for the weekend and did a drop-in. Great class and great experience! Members and coaches are very welcoming and friendly. If you’re looking for a great community and a great gym, this is it!

Extremely adaptive coaches. Ready to switch up the workout as needed on an individual basis to make sure you’re within your comfort zone, but are still pushing yourself. Great workouts that’ll keep you energized for the day. Amazing atmosphere from the business itself that makes it a great place to workout, and have great people to workout with.

This is the second CrossFit gym I've done. Here they actually train form and give options for lifts. It's definitely better than other CrossFit gyms I've been to, and particularly a great place to get started on lifting. I'm a very experienced lifter and am recovering from injuries, the coaches here help me monitor and correct bad habits I've picked up while recovering. I also find the community valuable for motivation.

Whether you’re an experienced crossfit athlete or a couch potato looking for a new start, Invictus DC is worth every penny. For being such a reputable name in the CrossFit world, I was surprised at how warm & and welcoming everyone was when I started. If you don’t know, a lot gyms can have members that are very cold or do not make you feel at ease. This gym isn’t one of those. The programming is top-notch and coaching is what you’d expect from a company that is known for putting out a large number of high level competitive athletes. Do yourself a favor, check them and out.

It is so great to have such an incredible gym accessible to the Navy Yard; everything is brand new and super clean, and the coaches are dedicated, kind, and knowledgable. The programming is thoughtful and effective, with plenty of options for scaling to each athlete's goals/needs. So happy to be a part of this community, and looking forward to having Invictus in the neighborhood for many years to come!

Invictus DC is by far the best new gym in the area. The facility is amazing but more than that are the coaches and people who are already members. I'm an occasional drop in and they make you feel like family right away. There's no better environment to push yourself than Invictus DC.

Great facility. Separate CrossFit class and Olympic weightlifting room. Gym equipment is well-organized and clean. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful.

Invictus DC is the best! Top notch coaching and programming that meets you where you’re at, whether you’re brand new to Crossfit or a competitive athlete. The space is sparkly clean and big enough to have a separate area for classes and open gym. Above all, everyone is super friendly and welcoming. Whether you’re looking for a place to drop in while on a work trip, open gym space that works with your busy schedule, or an amazing community to keep you motivated - Invictus DC has it!

Invictus DC is awesome! I’m new to the “crossfit” space, most recently coming from a few year regimen of orange theory, on-again/off-again weight training, and the occasional trail ultra and sprint/Olympic triathlons. Recovering decently high-level rugby playing in my past before that. Mike and the Invictus coaching team have been amazingly welcoming and available to provide an experience to match my fitness level and goals. The facility and equipment are top notch. The community is also welcoming and everyone is there to push themselves and each other to be the best versions of themselves. You can be any level of fitness, beginner to advanced, and Mike, Nick, Andrew, Sam, Katy, and Eric will be there to help you make strides towards improving your fitness level. Five stars. Oh yeah, and cool shirts and swag too.

Invictus is a fantastic gym! The facility is large, clean and well-equipped. The coaches are very friendly and qualified, and will spend time helping you to improve your form and use the sessions to reach your fitness goals. It's a very welcoming and encouraging environment, with well-planned, fun, and challenging workouts.

Moved to the area about 2 months ago and spent some time looking for a new gym. After my first day at Invictus, there was no doubt in my mind that it was the right fit. Great atmosphere, huge facility, and tons of equipment. Not to mention the phenomenal coaches. Whether you’re a competitive athlete or just looking for a good workout, I highly recommend Invictus DC!
