The Adelaide Festival Centre is Adelaide's flagship arts venue. It host's major Australian arts companies such as The Australian Nallet and Opera Australia as well as a host of commercial and small scales shows. Set in a beautiful location right next to the river.

The Festival Centre is well set out, and the staff are lovely. There are many things to look at and find out about the history of the facility. You cannot use cash there

There's always a sense of occasion when attending the Adelaide Festival Theatre. We attended Pink Floyd with Southern Cross Orchestra, which was great. I did notice though that the seats definitely are looking tired and the cushions are loose.

Adelaide Festival Centre usually organise different type of festival and this time, from 19 Oct to 5 Nov 23, they organised OZ Asia Festival. There's Chinese Opera, music and entertainment for all. A lot of food stalls for people to enjoy and sit on the many tables and benches provided. A lot of them brought their dogs too. It's free entry.

Went to see the “Simply Brill” show at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival tonight. Standing ovation, was a brilliant performance. The kind of show where you lose all track of time, because you’re having so much fun. Great to see so many Festival Theatre staff dressed up in costumes. When the seating is all ‘on the flat’, it would be good to have the stage a bit higher, so we could all see the wonderful performers.

Such a beautiful theatre. I was surprised no one checked your tickets on arrival. We had boxed seating on the second level which was quite a nice location, the stage was clear and visible from where we sat. The show playing was 9 to 5 which was amazing. The cast were absolutely incredible during the performance and engaged the audience throughout the entire show. Was a great experience to see a theatre other than your own city.

Came here the other night to see the Frozen musical. This theatre is so impressive Some of the seats need upgrading as they're very worn but overall the place is still a great place to see a performance

Very cool and unique spaceThe Adelaide Festival Centre's new outdoor spaces are truly a sight to behold. The architecture is unique and innovative, and the whole space just feels incredibly fresh and modern. It's so exciting to see this iconic venue evolve and adapt to changing times. The outdoor spaces are perfect for events and performances, and I can't wait to see what kinds of amazing shows and experiences they'll host in the future. Overall, I'm just really impressed with the Festival Centre's commitment to creating spaces that are not only functional, but also beautiful and inspiring. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience something truly unique in the heart of Adelaide.

Came here to see a show with the kids during the school holidays. It’s an old ish building but it’s still looks great. The seats got a little uncomfortable towards the end of the hour long show, but I’m a bigger fella so that’s probably why. The staff were great and we had no problem finding which theatre we had to be in. The only issue is the price of food/drink. It’s super expensive to buy it there, luckily for the kids show we were allowed to bring our own. Don’t know if you can for a normal adult show.

Absolutely incredible venue for intimate shows. Only possible downside it's the seating, cousins feel like they haven't been freshened in a while.

Air conditioning was a little on the cool side, but the show Miss Saigon was awesome

Attended the 1pm Frozen The Musical today - the show was wonderful however the staff member at Door 5 should be given a written warning after speaking to a woman & her daughter about Hot Food. 1. The way she said stop you can’t eat hot food you need to leave if you’re eating hot food. For front of house there was no tact or anything of class from your staff member. 2. There were no signs anywhere about no hot food to be consumed, yet drinks with no lids & all other food could be eaten. 3. I heard the woman in front apologise & say I didn’t see any signs & she had looked around & said the only reason they started eating was because she could see others eating their exact same hot food. The staff member asked where & she pointed on the same row & she said oh they’re almost finished. Then I looked around myself and saw at least another 10 people in the area eating the same hot food & went back to her post and didn’t pull up a single other person. The mother had tears streaming down her face, went out & then came back in 5 minutes later. I heard her daughter ask her Mum how many musicals she had seen before & she said this was her first one too. And I’m sure now she’ll probably remember it for all the wrong reasons. Train your staff to have some manners & if you point out one person for doing something, point out everyone else. Singling out her was disgusting.

Lovely, but getting in there to the parking area took 30mins.. the parking area took another 15.. 1 lift out to car park which numerous people complained about while waiting. Great theatre though, very beautiful and a great range of shows supporting amazing artists

Recently saw the incredible Miss Saigon show. I have no complaints about the show itself or the venue. However, it frustrates me that food, like packets of chips, is allowed in the auditorium. It should not be allowed. It's frustrating having nearby people delving into a noisy bag of chips and crunching on them, when you're trying to focus on what is happening on stage. Please stop food going into the auditorium and just allow it elsewhere in the venue. Patrons who pay a lot of money for tickets should not have to put up with the disturbance of people eating noisy food.
