This facility is inside Ragunan Zoo. Built and managed by corporation between Indonesia government and abroad so we can imagine that since beginning it was great. All facilities here is mostly OK but need more maintenance. After long time not visiting here, I can see less primate, I think but they all are in good condition. There is additional cost for going inside but it is worth to visit. You can make it a place for prewedding photograph but another additional cost.

There are several kind of monkeys here in the Schmutzer Primate Center, but unfortunately it is not as clean as it looks. We went there on the weekends at 09:00am, so it is obviously crowded and we barely got out of Ragunan because of the traffic.

World class facility inside Ragunan Zoo. Its facilities stand in contrast to the rest of the zoo, which is mostly run down and keep animals in poor condition. When we visited, however, the gorillas were kept in small cages instead of the large enclosure available outside. Also, some staff members were not wearing masks.

Lovely place to get to know more monkeys/apes. Big area in the middle of Ragunan zoo. You'll not get boring to be there. My favorite was the orangutan spot, inside the cave. Dont be afraid to come in because a bit scary when you enter, but so cold and you can take pics closer with the orangutans. Ticket also cheap.

The place is very well designed, but poorly maintained. The wooden observation decks are inaccessible and hazardous. It will be even more dangerous for visitors if they just leave them as ruins. Such a pity because these facilities can really be a great attractions for visitors. However, thank goodness, the animals seem to be healthy and well-cared for. This is the only place in the archipelago to observe gorillas, so it's pretty special!

Huge primate center inside of the Ragunan zoo. It has a beautiful natural exhibit, sky bridge lake view, and primates monitoring tunnel with full AC. Verry affordable entrance fee, only IDR 7,5k per person

Not so much animals there. Also, the information center that used to be a library for primates are closed. Probably due to Covid so there are less primates, but still ok for a visit

I visited this place on October 2021. To enter this Primate Center you have to enter the Ragunan Zoo first, because it's located inside the zoo. You have to register online D-1 before your attendance and get some barcode on email that could be used for 5 people. Then you have to buy the Jakcard, or if you already have it then just top up on the entrance. Rp 4000 for one people to the zoo, and Rp 7000 for one people to the primate center. The regulation and the operational time would be different in recent time.

Was really excited to spend my time here but sadly it rained in the middle of me exploring the exhibit. The cage of the gorillas was huge and the entire museum centre was really well maintained. Going into the museum and was immediately met by two monkeys on the side saying hi.

The place is subpar. It's far from my expectations as the international class Primate Centre, that's what they said on website.
