Mount Maculot Rockies is one of the perfect chill climb for a newbie. Trail and locals are good. Safe to climb, be careful when you are on this spot because there are some part of the rock that is not constant. Traverse to Grotto is quite hard because you need to go down with the station of the cross. But all in a good scenery.

It's a destination you must visit if you're looking for an adventure and an instagrammable place. This place was on my bucket list since it was very popular as a hiking destination because of its scenic view of the rockies and the taal lake. Although you'll experience panting because of its steepy trail. But after that, you'll be rewarded on this astounding God's creation. And also, the tour guides and the residents are very accomodating and so nice.

I'll place Mt. Maculot as the second must climbed mountain in Batangas because of different factors. Can also be one of the best options for day hikes because of its minor trail type, terrains that are covered with trees and surrounded by grass and shrubs, the air is fresh, cool ambiance and a perfect location for a stunning shot with the world famous and most active Taal Volcano on the background. In addition, the Rockies is the best and famous part of Maculot.

My favorite part of hiking Mt. Maculot just because of the view it offers. I highly suggest that you start your trek to the rockies early because it tends to get crowded even during the early morning. Also, take the necessary safety precautions when taking pictures as there have been accidents and one recorded death in the area. It's a relatively easy climb to the rockies so getting there won't be a problem even if you are a novice climber. I also loved the fact that the guides are super attentive and seems like they genuinely care about your safety.

Watch your step! The summit of the Rockies is very steep but this part of the mountain has a magnificent view of Taal Lake.

All the sweat is worth it once you have reached rockies and you have seen the view of the lake taal. Such an amazing experience.
