πŸ‘ I understand that the hotel is relatively aged, and even still, I highly praise and appreciate the service and layout of the place. A few issues that I would like to point out are just the restroom accessibility for those who gym there and how there are no shower rooms for gym goers except for one... People often mention hotel, good, restaurant, service, staff, rooms, breakfast, great, room, stay,

Right inside UP Campus is some decent accommodation--the University Hotel, secluded behind Balay Kalinaw, tucked in an obscure rarely visited corner. When I was in college, this was where we held conferences for interschool conferences, and where guests are booked to stay, especially if they're coming from overseas. The Garden patio recently got renovated and how has fresh roofs and ceiling fans installed to provide more space for alfresco dining. Over pandemic, it became refuge for people taking short term or month long isolations--not necessarily because of COVID but for some artistic distancing, intensive reviews, or dissertation completion. Good food for decent price. It might become our morning breakfast stop after some rounds in the oval.

Overall, it was a good experience! Pros: > Great customer service > Food was great (c/o the Patio), with complimentary breakfast > Rooms were very clean and basic supplies such as bottled water, towels, slippers, were provided. > Ample parking space Cons: > No elevator > Some of the rooms are old, mine smelled like mothballs (which clung to the clothes I brought with me) πŸ˜… > I noticed that anyone can go in, so I'm not sure how security measures are enforced

Located inside UP Diliman, Quezon City. This place has changed a lot. There is already a coffee shop and the restaurant had been extended. Function rooms are available at the ground floor. However, AC in the room, good for 3 people, was not in good condition. Free bottled water for day 1. There is wifi in the room and in the function rooms.

Since this is UP, let me grade this like a prof grading a student: Location (30/30): It's close to malls, has lush green scenery, fresh air, and easy to access in general. It's also relatively safe since it's in UP Service (20/20): The staff is very accommodating, there's free Wi-Fi, a toilet spray, and warm water. There's a cafe as well in the first floor Room quality (10/50): Okay let's start with 50 points and deduct from there. -10 points: there was a cockroach in my room -30 points: My biggest gripe! The scent of moth balls was too strong that I couldn't sleep well until I threw them away and opened the windows. It might be better to discontinue their use: They weren't effective in deterring bugs, given the cockroach that visited my room... and Google says that sniffing moth ball fumes can lead to cancer O: Total: 60/100, or 3.00. Pasado! ...as long as you don't mind the moth ball fumes.

Rooms are big but really dated. Absolute Rip off in my opinion. Bad service. Room with musty smell. Expensive. Phone and TV, not working. I just stayed there because it was walking distance to the venue of an event.

I understand that the hotel is relatively aged, and even still, I highly praise and appreciate the service and layout of the place. A few issues that I would like to point out are just the restroom accessibility for those who gym there and how there are no shower rooms for gym goers except for one found near the patio restaurant. Otherwise, I love the place, I consistently eat and gym there with both family and friends. I highly recommend!

The conference facilities are not the best as we were having so many noise disturbance during the 3 days event. And the staff can be absent minded and not care much about requests. However the overall hotel facilities are up to standards. They could definitely use some makeovers though. Location is not be most convenient as it's situated inside the UP and needs extra transportation in a crowded traffic.

Step into the University Hotel inside UP Diliman Campus, where nostalgia meets a relaxed atmosphere. The food? Think CASAA upgraded, with salads and varied meals, plus alcohol to boot. While the Caesar salad leaned salty and the Inihaw na Liempo lacked flavor punch, the service shone bright with a friendly bartender and smiling staff. Will I return? Absolutely, for the ambiance and a round of cocktails, definitely!

Been going to the Patio to unwind, enjoy good food, and have a couple of drinks with colleagues and friends. Until recently, the place inhabited by intellectuals, artists and wanna be artists and intellectuals is no longer. The place where conversations, food and beers used to be the centerpiece has become like a beer garden - thanks to the live band that plays on Fridays. I'm not even going to comment on how the band play and sing, but certainly the intellectual and artistic mood is gone. There used to be someone who plays the piano as discussions and arguments happen who is also now gone. I heard that the piano player's contract was not renewed. Bad. Don't go here on Fridays.

Function rooms are simple but cozy and neat. Food is good and affordable. Personnel are friendly and service-oriented. If there are many events on the same day, you might have to park where you have to walk a few meters to the hotel. That means many people book the hotel. Also, just learned that they are Pet-friendly.

Stayed for two nights. Food is good and generous. But the hotel needs to clean up: cockroaches in the conference room, and more cockroaches (dead cockroaches even) inside the hotel room. Seriously, please clean up the rooms before guests can check in.

This is a review of their restaurant, The Patio. The service is super slow. Every order took more than 30 mins to arrive, even the desserts. The food tastes average and lacks seasoning. If you're here for the food, I wouldn't recommend it.

The restaurant is one of the best in this part of the city. The Crispy Pata is so delicious because of the spices that flavor rhe juicy meat. Service is also superb.

I went there for brunch. It's a truly* bike-friendly establishment. We walked our bicycles in from the entrance all the way to the patio restaurant in the back. We didn't have to fold or lift our bikes -- a ridiculous requirement at other* establishments (because how different or heavy is a bike compared to mobility scooters and wheelchairs?). They have the typical Pinoy breakfast meals at reasonable prices. I ordered their bangus breakfast meal. I wouldn't recommend their coffee though.

Rooms are old and need of more light. The aircon looks beat but it still does the job of cooling the room. The toilet needs more light and upgrading. Room is spacious.

A good place to stay if you need to be in UP Diliman. It's also near government offices, hospitals, and malls. You may commute going to DAR, DENR, QC Hall, SSS, BIR, and HLURB. Malls nearby are UPTown Center, SM North, Trinoma. Two ride via jeepneys also going to Cubao. Hospitals are heart center, and kidney center.

From its humble beginnings as a hostel, it has now been given a 3 star hotel rating! But more than that, this hotel's development and evolution was sparked by the UP Diliman community, as well as its alumni, as a positive response to the recent pandemic - yet another example of the rich diversity that makes UP unique. The kitchen is managed and monitored by none other the community's fav chef - Mr. Sandy Daza. Truly a must try if you find yourself in UP Diliman!

Good value for money. It's quite a cheap place to stay but I will not stay here unless there is a need. It is an affordable venue for lectures. Don't book this place if you're looking for something fancy.

A very nice hotel inside the campus of University of the Philippines in Diliman. Good clean rooms, nice staff, they offer good food, dining area is relaxing. And the function area is the best. A favorite drinking place for the students and faculties alike! I highly recommend this place.

Old hotel but good service. They have several function rooms for meetings and a nice open patio where you can have your nice meal. They also have small bar/cafe in which they serve drinks and cakes. You can also avail there massage for 400 i believe for 1 hour. Not many food stalls near the area so you can only buy food at the hotel and the canteen next to them.

I only visited this place for the restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of their food for reasonable prices. Their portions were also bigger than what I usually see in the Philippines. I was full after eating one dish - a rarity for me in Filipino restaurants. I recommend their Seafood Sinigang and Cucumber-Pineapple shake. EXCELLENT SERVICE: we arrived when they were about to close their kitchen, but they let us in anyway and still gave us quick and friendly service. I've worked in food service before, so I appreciate the kindness it takes to not only take in customers when you're about to close, but also to still serve them with respect. Kudos to this restaurant and their entire team.

This is my 1st time to visit this place and i was surprised it was a great place for a meeting, events, and parties. The place is big and the food price is fair and cheap compared to other hotels of the same ratings. The ambience is good, i will recommend this place to all my friends.

Didn't actually stayed. I had a PT session, and it was awesome. SPHERE's therapist Ali was really good in making sure I'm comfortable and relaxed, while proving her expertise in what she's doing.

Actually we just saw the tarp ad in passing. We were about to exit UP as we were looking for a resto. We saw The Patio, an Al fresco resto inside the campus. It happens to be at the University Hotel. The place is at the back portion of the hotel, and overlooks what look like a courtyard. First impression, it's a simple yet cozy event place. Parking was not an issue. It was around 10am and I was craving for a good breakfast, so I ordered Filipino breakfast - garlic longganisa meal (other choices were daing na bangus, tocino etc). It came with a fruit juice and coffee. Price is at P199. Not bad for a 3-pc longga meal with egg and garlic rice. I ordered french onion soup, I like it! My friend ordered lemon garlic pork belly with mashed potato and I think it was served with french beans. And he liked it. The serving size is just right for their price. There's a 10% discount if you're an alumni. Sorry for the pic, we were already munching when I thought of taking pics. The service staff were very accommodating and attentive. The place is great for an hour long chit chat. I think we stayed for almost two hours. Definitely we will come back.

We just ordered sandwich and soft drinks for snack. Waiters were very accommodating. Alfresco restaurant is safe to go to during this pandemic. We were not happy though with the sandwich we ordered. Tastes so ordinary. They should have used a better bread. Need to upgrade their food to "hotel" standard.

We had a great time and the best spot at Courtyard when we went there yesterday December 11, 2022, for our Annual Family Thanksgiving and Christmas Party as well. Very attentive staff. Food two thumbs up. They gave me a five star experience. Salamat at Mabuhay Kayo.

For the patrons - students, faculty, alumni and UP friends - this place is the comfort of nostalgia and gatherings. This place is old but well maintained and you can see its historical nature in the wood and walls. This hotel has that hostel in the 70s vibe and the wood smell. The porch and resto area also has a garden dancing ground rather than a swimming pool and it somehow puts you in another time period when people dance at the yard and socialize while classical music is being played. It is always nice to be here.

Note: rating The Patio restaurant, not the hotel. The Patio restaurant is located at the ground floor of the hotel. The atmosphere is nice. It can cater to big groups. The menu specilizes in Filipino cuisine. The prices of the food were reasonable. Downside: no ice coffee. Very bad Globe signal inside the restaurant. I literally had to walk up to the main entrance of the building to get a decent signal. And, very poor service. The billing system was like an old fashioned way of slips every types of orders..I think we ended up with around 7 slips because we ordered from appetizers to desserts... the food was a meh.
