Hidden in the middle of High Street is this lavish and peaceful area where you can sip a cup of coffee as you watch people walking or raindrops falling (when it rains, of course). Serving the vibe are its tall ceilings and grand curtains, plus there are amiable attendants ready to take your orders. As expected, their food and drinks look well curated. Places like this are perfect for lovely afternoons or evenings.

High tea at its finest! It’s so nice and comfy here. Great for meetings or catching up with friends. There’s chatter around but never too noisy. Good food!

Afternoon tea, preferred with a pot of hot tea, we came for the scones 😄, and the ambiance.

A hidden getaway in BGC. If you're looking for affordable peace and quiet, good air-conditioning, and a relaxing spacious ambiance, this is the distance you'd want to walk. Good hangout for chatting with a friend. Most people here are quiet even if they came in groups. Some came solo and we're working with a laptop, and others were just chilling with a partner. Appreciate the good service and attentive staff. I wanted the pure infused chamomile tea but it was out-of-stock, so we had 1 order of pure infused peppermint tea for sharing, a price at less than a drink in other nearby cafes in the area at less than Php200. The peppermint tea was nice. Service water was free and unlimited. Chrysanthemum tea was also not available at the time. If you drink coffee, then you have more options. Iced tea is more expensive than the hot tea too. If you walk the high street all the way to the edge from the market market side, you can find it. They serve drinks, wine, beer, and have free wifi which is good because the menu can be seen in the QR code. But if you have your own wifi, the menu loads faster. I think there's a physical paper menu as well if you ask for it, as I saw a copy given to the group next to us. Overall, it's a hotel lounge I'd considering revisiting in the future. Thanks for the attentive service.

Food and drink quality was top notch, as expected from a Shang property. Service though leaves much to be desired from a five star hotel -that of EDSA Shang is markedly better.

Came on a Sunday afternoon around 3:45pm~ There were a couple of vacant tables. I was advised a day before that they don’t take reservations but they allow pencil booking. I came with my parents and we ordered a set of high tea. It took them almost 30 minutes to serve the pastries. (it’s not freshly made so we have no idea what took them such a long time) The coffee (cafe latte) was so good while the pastries are just a bit ok but the serving is good for 3-4pax. The experience was nice but can be improved. A set of high tea costs 1,850 and can be discounted if you have senior citizens or PWDs with you.

This restaurant had a great atmosphere but lacked prompt service. The lounge had a cozy and inviting ambiance with soft lighting, comfortable seating, and tasteful décor (the chandelier is breathtaking). It is the perfect place for a relaxing lunch out with friends, a place to crunch some work, or a romantic dinner with a loved one. However, I have to admit that the service was not up to par. It took a while for the server to take our orders, and the food took longer than expected to arrive at our table. While the restaurant was fairly busy, it wasn't overcrowded, and it seemed like the staff could have been more attentive. Despite the slow service, the food was absolutely delicious. Each dish was well presented and bursting with flavor. The ingredients were fresh and expertly cooked, and the menu offered a decent selection of options. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant for its fantastic atmosphere and delicious food.

I'd say it's a hidden gem. The place have a cozy and quiet atmosphere, great for meeting up with friends. We tried the afternoon tea set and it already includes coffee or tea for 2 person. Only con is it took some time before the pastries arrive. Service is great and staff is friendly. I will definitely come back.

Super friendly and courteous staff, also fair pricing for a 5-star hotel. I got their Furikake Salmon over cauliflower, as well as an Americano and both were absolutely great.

The ambience of this place is quite fancy, the chairs were comfortable and the wifi is fast. I studied here during their afternoon tea time which starts at 2pm. We were reminded of the time being 2-4pm only for their afternoon tea. Not everything on the set tastes good but overall, it was worth it. Recommend their afternoon tea with some friends you want to catch up with! Oh and I love their scones served with cream cheese and jam.

Amazing lunch buffet! Great food selection, courteous and friendly staff. Dessert and coffee are already included in the buffet. The best sushi I have tasted in Manila. Relaxed yet elegant ambience. Definitely recommended if you can’t decide on one cuisine as there are tons of choices here.

Got dessert after dinner. Service a bit slow. Ohaina dessert was delicious. Dessert sampler standout was the cheesecake and mini ohaina lookalike

Service was excellent as is to be expected from Shangri-la. The environment was very conducive to our working lunch meeting which explains why so many people were there doing the same thing.

Incredible ambience and satisfying service. We tried their afternoon tea - it was good but felt some items are just too sweet. Would suggest to bring in more savory items for some balance.

The atmosphere was elegant, and calm. The service was very slow, eventhough there's a ton of attendants that you'll see walking around, we had to catch hard their attention . The food was good.

We have tried Shangrila BGC lounge and overall it is just okay. But edsa and makati (makati pre pandemic) are better than BGC. The staffs in shangrila BGC are really slow in serving your order. If i am in Shang BGC maybe i'll just go in 'bake house' or in 'canton road' but not in their lounge.

Went here for dessert after having dinner nearby. This place is open late so it's a good place to relax after work or after dinner.

I made reservations and paid the deposit since we will be coming as a big group of 10-12 pax. What surprised me is that it was all done ahead of time but when I arrived, no table was reserved for us (though we have indicated our reservation is at 14:00) and that we had to wait 40mins until the table is prepared and reserved. I gave 2 stars since the drinks and tea sandwiches are pretty good, however, the service is terrible. The servers are always staying at the middle counter instead of going around to proactively get customer requests and orders. You'll have to follow up multiple times until your drink gets served to you and sometimes they serve tea but leave out the tea cups and saucers. If they also know there are big groups around, can't they assign a server to mostly attend to a big group since they would know larger groups require more orders and requests? So disappointing especially for a five star hotel and lounge.

Too cold in the area. The ambiance of the place is very elegant. The afternoon tea serves only one round of hot beverages. The servers are pleasant but not appealing enough to think the brand is Shangri La. Bring jacket or a shawl when staying for longer period for somr quality time catch up with friends.

Great venue for quiet meetings. Good selection of food and drinks.

We had an afternoon tea and it was splendid. Price is reasonable but the ambiance feels somewhat dated and gloomy. Piped-on music isn't helping at all to cheer the place up

Good ambiance and great for drinks but not so much for dinner. We went here for dinner because all the other places in Shang were fully booked.

Very comfy place to relax in or conduct meetings. Great coffee, friendly and accommodating staff, cozy place. I just wish the service was faster. It takes a long time to get orders, even if it's just coffee for 1. The place also needs to implement some ways to control or remove flies. Still an awesome place to either conduct business meetings or meetups or brunch with friends to keep you cool from the summer/El Niño heat.

The food was pretty good. Loved the salted egg prawns, mashed potato, laksa , the manila creamery icecream and so on. Couldve been better if the lobster portions were bigger along with the quality of beef in the steak area. :)

Cheesecake and coffee are good desserts that serve sugar. I joined a free membership. I will come more often.

We had the Eastern High Tea.. Selection of savoury and sweets are pleasant.. My favourite was the macaroons and I like the blueberry tea.. Place was cosy but a good music playing could have made our afternoon tea better.. But over all, service is excellent and we enjoyed our treats ❤
