This is my first time clubbing and I threw up everywhere on the floor. The owner/bouncer was very thoughtful to care for me and let me go without any troubles (I offered to pay for the mess I made but they declined). 10/10 will go clubbing here again (will make sure not to throw up anymore)

Upon entering the entrance, there was a baggage check by unfriendly security. There are two floors, the first and second, but the second floor seems to be the main floor with a bar counter where drinks are made. The staff is young and friendly, and the second floor is busy with many groups of customers. Drinks are a bit expensive. Food is expensive but tasty. A bottle of craft beer, a whiskey soda, and a dish for two people cost a little over 1,200 pesos. I went there thinking it would be a quiet adult bar, so the image was quite different. It is better to go there thinking it is a lively cocktail bar.

One of the small, really cool bars that have sprung up in Poblacion. Really good selection of liquors with some unique cocktails and lots of traditional ones too. Japanese fusion cuisine will take the edge off your head after a few cocktails. Come early as it fills up fast on busy days.

Nice ambience, good food, great drinks and friendly service. However, no happy hour promo. This place is always crowded, especially on the weekend. Highly recommend to make reservation before coming to avoid disappointment.

The drinks and the music is great! It's quite fun and the crowd is really chill. I really do recommend getting a reservation though because it can get really cosy very quickly.

Fusion style Japanese food. I prefer authentic that's why is 3 stars. Vibe is very cool. Nice decor. We were there early for dinner but I think it would be a great place at night when the dj is playing

Post-pandemic we would only go to El Chupacabra and Hekyll and Jekyll (?) in Poblacion. More so on the other side of Kalayaan Ave. I visited Kampai for the first time in July 2023 upon recommendation of an officemate. We walked a few minutes from St. Giles Hotel. I must admit I was surprised that the Poblacion I knew was so much bigger. Ordered a few sticks of their grilled pork and chicken and a couple of beers. Done. I returned with my wife a couple of weeks later. Tried their other items on the menu and they didn't disappoint. It was worth going to on a busy Saturday night. We were there "early" at 7:30pm and avoided the crowd. That's why we were able to get seats. Otherwise, a reservation is required.

Kampai is what one would imagine entering a ‘Pobla bar’ would feel like. Discreet, intimate, and mysterious. The Highball cocktail was a home run for us, the flavors blended so well together. The music was wonderful and not excessively loud. But the atmosphere was the cherry on top. It truly felt like a teeny Japanese bar, one that could only be found through stumbling drunk along the wall on a side road. (In the best way.)

Ordered grab. They should be ashamed of themselves for making sushi like that. Take a look at the picture and ask yourself if this is a good restaurant.

Good food. Amazing drinks and superb staff. Could get a bit crowded but this has been the ultimate go to place in Poblacion!

Go-to place if you just wanna vibe! Music is bop! Try their ammareto sour!

Enjoyed the dinner there with friends. Service was good and the food was delicious. Japanese fare but we decided on only the cooked items.. Tempura was fresh with no trace of frying oil. The wagyu beef rice very good. The grilled platter is only average because some of the meat items are just too hard.. Deco wise, the place is a little run-down and badly in need of renovations. It's located at a major restaurant area within walking distance from the city center and close to the red district of P Burgos.
