I am giving it 2 stars mostly for nostalgia. It used to be great with good portions and a friendly staff. Now it's nothing more than overpriced "fair" food. My meal consisted of 4 ribs and some salad. With plastic utensils and serve yourself beverages in paper cups.. When our food was ready they just yelled, "Come and get it!" When my nephew asked for some salsa the order taker said we only have bbq sauce. For $78 I really expected more. Sadly we won't be returning.

If you’re in the area stop by their ribs are amazing and fall off the bone. The pulled pork sandwich was favorable and the mac and cheese is the best I’ve EVER had! To top it off the barbecue sauce is made perfectly.

My husband and I were on vacation and he wanted BBQ. So we tried Big Bubba's BBQ .The food wasn't all the for the price. The ribs tasted like it was boiled. Not BBQ!!! The meat didn't fall of the bone like it should of if it was BBQ.The sauce was just poured on it....like the chef didn't care for he's job anymore. We did sit at the bar and and had excellent service!!! As for the food I'll give it a👎👎👎👎👎five thumbs down!!!! As for the service at the bar I'll give it 👍👍four thumbs up. I had to give it a star but truthfully I wouldn't give it anything!!!

Excellent bbq. Have been here a couple of times and it has been really good each time. Staff is very friendly, this place is quickly becoming our go to place on the way home from cambria.

Good place to stop off after a lot of nothing coming back from San Francisco in Paso Robles. Cool concept, good food, friendly staff. I didn't get pictures of the cells, but they can put you in a cell, with a picnic style bench, to eat your lunch. This looked to be the best stop in the area to us!

This place is a must stop if you're a local or in the area. There used to be one in my home town and after it closed died l down, I try to stop here when I'm in the area. Stopped here with some friends for an early dinner and enjoyed some yummy BBQ!! The restaurant is clean and has cute country decor. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They have a quaint bar area with TVs and cold beer on tap. There are frozen drink machines, Tangy Tequila is a must try. Can't wait to go back!

Service was great. Food delicious and the restaurant has a lot of character but was very warm inside. We sat outside in the breeze.

Date 04-16-23 ticket numbers P90 and P95 server Cristina S We are (or were) returning customers and have always ordered the same combo plate with two sides. One of the sides being your yummy mac and cheese. I went to secure a table and my husband was paying. He went to pick up our order we noticed no Mac and cheese but macaroni salad instead. I returned the tray of food and was told by “Cristina “ that there was a up charge for the Mac and cheese, and she had repeated the order to my husband, who is in his 70’s. I said he wouldn’t have ever ordered macaroni salad, as we always get the Mac and cheese. And would be happy to pay the extra charge for the right item. But she kept repeating the same sentence over and over that she repeated the order and we got what we ordered and if we wanted Mac and cheese now we would have to pay full price for the extra side. What kind of customer service training did Cristina receive there? I was so upset after being spoken to in such a flippant manner, and her unwillingness to take into consideration that SHE might have heard the order wrong. Give your manager an “atta girl “ for saving the company a .40 cent portion of macaroni salad, and not letting a customer pay the customary up charge for Mac and cheese they really wanted. I hope it’s worth losing us as returning customers. Because due to Cristina, we are not coming back.

This place used to be amazing. Huge portions, decent prices and friendly servers. They must’ve changed owners because this place is completely different. It’s no longer table service, you go to the counter to order. Servers are very curt. All of our favorites on the menu were no longer there and the menu shrunk in size. The portions also shrunk in size but the prices increased. I wish it was how it used to be. As it stands, there’s nothing worth going back to. The stars are for the French fries because that was the only good thing left about this place.

Very clean restaurant and not too busy when we visited. They took a little bit of time to take our Order however, the employees are very on top of things and very nice. The food was above average and taste, but a little pricey. The restaurant is right off the freeway, so no need to drive far off the highway if you're traveling.

We had the combo between two of us and the tri-tip and Brisket was absolutely delicious! We had never had tri tip and it was great. You order at the counter and pick up the food to sit down. So it's quick to pick up and proceed. Service was fine, nothing out of the ordinary. The facility is cool though and has some cool touches to it.

I remember once when this used to be good BBQ, but something happened and this place is not good at all. The service on this day was pretty non existent. Our server spent more time flirting with his coworkers, and the female customers and paid no attention to us. It was like we were an inconvenience to him. The food was also a miss this day, and was not good at all. The food was really salty and the onion rings came out super well done, and not even bbq sauce could save them. All in all this visit just sucked and because of this really bad experience, probably are not going to return or suggest it to anyone looking for bbq in the future.

The second time here and the food was just as good both times. Fresh, hot, and very tender. Had the Brisket sandwich, and it was really good eating.

Passing thru Paso Robles had to have some BBQ 😋. Staff were Super Friendly . The pork ribs nice and tender falling off the bone. Their brisket delicious. Definitely coming back.

I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and requested the BBQ sauce and cold slaw on the side. The woman taking my order repeated my order back to me and told me not a problem. Went to pick up food, slaw and sauce on sandwich. When I asked them to fix it, the cook started picking the slaw off the sandwich with his bare hands. I said, hell no, There was still sauce on it. The woman who took my order told me repeatedly that I never requested it that way or she "would" have written it down. Finally I said, "I am not going to argue with you, just get my sandwich ". I have been in the restaurant/custom service 80% of my adult life. I have never argued with a customer, she basically called me a liar. There was a younger girl there, kind and respectful, one older gentleman cook, same thing. Owners/managers need to wake up. Great food, high prices, no room for bad service.

Went for lunch and their barbecue is amazing and the place is a treat to eat it. A very unique dining experience

We buy the BBQ from here frequently because they generally have good ribs and tri-tip. The thing I give it 2 stars for is the dining experience. PLASTIC utensils....still? PLASTIC cups, even at the bar for beer? Serve yourself soft drinks, bus your own plate? Come on. You certainly can do better than that!

Visiting from outta state and I was very hesitant about getting bbq it Cali. The moist brisket was on point, but cut thicker than I'm used to. Bark was great. Oh man the fries were amazing! The chipotle rach pairs great with the fries and they are crispy but not over cooked. The atmosphere is awesome, and the customer services was better than most North East service.

Great Food! Fast service! After working in 100+ degrees, 77° was a bit warm for my liking. The prices were only a touch high, but that food and service though!😋🤤🤤

Been in Paso for 6 months, never thought to stop by the big awesome cowboy ranch for some BBQ. This place is phenomenal and the staff is fantastic. I honestly can't stand country music, but this place has such a charm, I caught myself tapping my toes to the loudspeaker tunes while tossing back my second cold beer. Meat prices are high everywhere but they've managed to keep prices reasonable especially when you consider the work it takes in cooking BBQ. Already been back three times this week, plan on letting them cook my dinner tomorrow too!

Saturday night at 6 pm, the place had many tables open. Food we ate was well prepared. I recommend eating outside.

Really good 👍 I had a Brisket sandwich with the Texas toast. Really good flavor on the meat, and the barbecue sauce was not overpowering. If you are in the area and feel like bbq definitely hit this place up

👍 Great tastings. Plan to do the tour if you have time. The tour about an hour and includes tastings which will pay for the cost of the tour. You may end up spending more money on the limited releases only available at the brewery.
