Stayed last night and the room itself was nice, although when I attempted to use the jacuzzi it didn't work. It also leaked water onto the bathroom floor. It was already late and the fact that it was only a giant tub ruined the mood completely. I paid for a suite to have a romantic getaway and I was extremely disappointed. When I told the person working the lobby at checkout they only stated they would let maintenance know. They offered nothing to remedy the situation.

This was not a great choice. My girlfriend and I just got back from taking our parents here for a long weekend. We booked 3 rooms for 3 nights each. In one room, the heater was not working, and it took several hours into a very cold night before maintenance got it fixed. In another room, the toilet backed up, and maintenance had to be called repeatedly to fix it. Then they told us we needed to be present for them to come, forcing us to leave dinner and come back to wait for them. None of the rooms were cleaned, not even trash removal. The hotel told us they don't clean the rooms unless you stay for a minimum of 5 nights. This was never disclosed at the time of booking, or check-in.

Lovely property in nice central location, however our room was very tiny and difficult to navigate. Breakfast menu was complete and service good, but food items only ok. Room rates are moderately expensive.

Lovely hotel with sprawling yard area in the back and units spread out throughout the property. Charming welcome area/check-in that feels warm & homey. No frill rooms that have everything you need for spending the night, but not intended to be the focal point of your trip (i.e. go out & explore beautiful Paso Robles!!!)

The outside of the hotel is very nice and the surrounding area of the hotel is nice as well. What was very disappointing was the inside of the hotel. The walls are paper-thin, you can hear everything from the neighbors talking next door to the people and cars outside. We requested two beds in the room for three people, we received one bed and when we told the hotel the room was incorrect they told us they couldn't do anything. Also, there are a lot of things that are just "slapped together" inside the hotel, specifically the bathroom door that gave no privacy at all (pictures included). Overall, pretty on the outside, but not worth the price or the issues you will run into.

It is called a historic property but I think it is old and overrated! Not really worth $300 per night! There is no elevator, no room service, be prepared to take your bags upstairs. The restaurant has been closed. There is no room cleaning for three days so you need to make your own beds. The carpet was old and smelly and stairs (near gas station) move. It's an accident waiting to happen. Even a Best Western has better beds than this property! This property did have a nice koi pond and a small garden between the buildings. There is a park opposite - good for morning Walk.

The staff is very welcoming and wants to be sure you have a nice stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It's always nice to have a wine key and glasses ready for you!

Loved our stay! Amazing garden/courtyard area. Nice renovated bar with great service. Front desk very helpful too! We did use the free passes for the gym- short 5-6 min drive away. Location is right in the square. Would stay here again

I had a meeting here as this was the location the meeting organizer chose. Plusses: it's next to downtown with lots of eating places and small shops. I was impressed with Paso Robles. Minuses: the AC in the room was loud and would cycle every 5 minutes. The refrigerator was loud too and I just turned it off. To be fair they do provide earplugs. I rated low on service, but that was because the restaurant doesn't open until 7 AM and I like an early breakfast.

Large beautiful suite. With both an outdoor spa and a soaking tub in the main bathroom. Their large suites are two room. My husband can sleep in and I can have my morning coffee in the livingroom. We have eaten at the restaurant before and loved it. The grounds are beautiful. I love to hand out in their swinging chairs. We timmed out stay with the Thursday concerts in the park. So we walked across the street to live music and wine then back to our room. We took a stroll downtown beautiful Paso too.

The only perk of this hotel is the location right in down town. Able to walk to many shops and restaurants. Rooms were small and nothing spectacular. For how much they have done to their grounds as far as plants and scenery you would think they would keep up on it. Unfortunately that was not the case when we came, all hedges needed trimmed, dead leaves everywhere, ponds needed skimmed. I do say it was nice to be able to order cocktails from the bar and bring them to the small pool they have.

We stayed in a jacuzzi room. Beds are super comfy and clean. The pool is perfect size to take a dip and cool off in 107 degree summer. The front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating. Everything downtown was within walking distance. Excellent place to stay for our 30th!

We had a drink in the newly renovated Cattlemans Lounge. They have done a very nice job on the renovations. The balcony is really lovely. The service was excellent. The drinks were good, but seemed a little light on the alcohol. I ordered a lemon drop, which should gave a sugar rim, but did not. Overall, a great spot!

Great service, friendly staff. Was seated without wait. The food was absolutely amazing. Cooked to perfection the prime rib was amazing. The filet mignon was cooked as ordered with a great char on it. The atmosphere is cozy, but the windows provide a more roomy feel. Overall superb! Everything about this was excellent.

Very pleasant accommodation experience. The room and floor is very clean. We booked a room with the hot bathtub at the balcony, it is definitely a good idea for winter time!

Paid 300++ for the spa room. The room stated the spa fit two people yay. In reality it fit one 🤔 it took 30 to 45 mins for the tub to fill to only fit one person🤬 no house keeping cleaned the room. Hummm the lady told us that when we checked in. We would have to ask for stuff to get restocked🤬 hummmm we paid over 300 a night for this service. No continental breakfast I would have to pay for that as well. To top it off. While sleeping. The people upstairs were snoring sooooo load I thought they were in bed with us. Needless to say no sleep Never again. Will I stay here. I'll get better service at the motel 6

Paper thin walls..We had a noisy door slamming nieghbor in the room next door…till after 12:00pm finally stopped then sounded like the guy was snoring in my room.. basically an old place that has a great location but needs a total rehab. Comon $275.00 night and the the bathroom sink is cracked all the way across the bowl?not a great look…Stayed here twice over the past few years but I’m done.

Stayed in Paso for the New Year, so the Paso Robles Inn was the perfect choice. Had a nice comfy King bed with a nice personal hot tub on the patio. Quite relaxing. Enjoyed the atmosphere and how everything was fairly close in walking distance. Definitely will stay here again 😀

Had breakfast for the first time under the new management bill was $40 for one person. The food was equal to McDonald's. Coffee was really watered-down, I was told the biscuits were frozen. It tasted and smelled like a Pillsbury biscuit. The mushrooms and tomatoes in the omelet were old and slimy. Ended up returning the breakfast. The service was good, but management needs to do a better job sourcing ingredients.

This place is overall great and we would stay here again. However - room on 2nd floor, no elevator making it hard to bring your luggage in. Plus tub is unsafe - it is slick and very deep

The property is beautiful ! Great location walking distance to quite a few places. But our bathrooms had a bad smell that triggered my migraine. So we decided to checkout early. Steak house fabulous Joey gave us great customer service . We will definitely return for another visit. Garcia Fam Bam 💥

Had a good stay, but it could of been a little better if the check in time wasn't at 4pm and check out wasn't at 11am. And if they didn't screw up my take out order at their steakhouse. They only had 1 pasta dish which i ordered and it was delicious. The Inn was conveniently located to downtown which was great and the garden area was nice and had a koi pond which was beautiful.

Brittany is an excellent employee. I am on a motorcycle trip and needed an early check in. My room wasn't quite ready when I arrived but she had housekeeping insure it was one quickly. The garden spa room is large and very comfortable. It has a fireplace for the chilly mornings and. a. Private balcony with a spa tub. Great location across from park downtown,. A+

Stayed here for a quick mid week getaway, and wow, this place is fantastic. Every interaction I had with staff was pleasant and they were always very helpful. The room was amazing. We stayed in the building that survived the fire in the 1940s but you would not know that it was so old. The room was great. King size bed, with spa tub on the balcony. The bathroom was very large and spacious. The courtyard area was great. Nice little streams filled with Koi fish, lots of chairs to sit and relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. I would highly recommend this place to stay. It is right there in the town square, so you can walk to anywhere in town you might need for food and to check out the town itself. Perfect spot.

So iam giving 5 stars for the restaurant food and drinks. But 1 star for the service. My wife made reservations for 9 for my B-day super yesterday for the family. Before we were seated we were informed that there will be a 25% gratuity added for 9 people. So WE as the customer, choose the gratuity. Not them. That is cheep and greedy on their part. Next, my wife was informed on the phone while making reservations that there is NO corkage fee if we bring local wines. We brought 2 Paso Robles wines. While seated and ordering drinks, our server mentioned that the first bottle is free. A corkage fee will be added to the second bottle. My parents brought my B-day cake. After supper our server mentioned to us that there will be a $3- fee PER cake slice. 9 people, so that would have been another $ 27- added to our bill. Then our bill was over charged. My brother in law corrected the over charge and recalculated the TIP. Not a 25% TIP. Us, the customers recalculated the TIP. So 1 star for alot of misinformation on their part.

My best friend and I came here for a girl's trip weekend. We had so much fun, and this was so conveniently located in downtown Paso Robles, just walking distance from everything that you need. We enjoyed going to the pool that was heated and the spa which was perfectly hot. It was also convenient to have a restaurant on site, as we had dinner here a few different times and the bartenders were extremely kind. Lastly, it was great to stay at this hotel because they had a lot of wine tasting discounts and coupons in the lobby. This made the trip much more affordable, and we were happy to support local wineries.

We booked a room here because of the location, that is the only star it deserves. We picked a nice room with hot tub and views so we can enjoy some quality time. Hot tub was BROKEN in our room and there was NO Wifi at all in the room. Checkin staff was not friendly at all. Since it was a one night stay we only had time to bring it out to them at check out the next day and they refuse to do anything about it since we did not let them know “at the time” Would not recommend this place to anyone!

It was a great place to stay. Nice clean room and so perfectly located! The hotel grounds are immaculate and beautiful.

We have a lovely stay and our room was spacious including the bathroom. The spa is at the balcony and you have a curtain if you want some privacy but when it’s reading and windy, the curtain doesn’t shield you entirely because of a gap but might need some repair. We only stayed for one night so can’t complain much about it. They have a newly renovated restaurant but but we haven’t dined in so I can’t say much about it. The only disappointment was the check in. We came on a weekday and I’m guessing they have a limited staff turning over the rooms and being huge, it takes time to clean them. So don’t expect to check in early. Check in time is 4pm so if you booked a spa room, expect it to be later than 4pm to not get disappointed. Also, the sheets was wrinkly. Overall, the location is centrally located and the garden and koi pond are a good place to wander around.

The best place to stay in Paso. Garden area is beautiful and the rooms in the older part are very nice also. The Steakhouse is excellent, as well as the prime rib, the Duke, and especially Ian, the bartender. Izzy at the front desk is a big asset to the Inn.

  • 1/5 Michael D. 1 year ago on Google
The room was remodeled and looked clean, however they did not replace an ancient widow air conditioner that was extremely noisy. It was so loud you could not watch TV or sleep. Could not open the window as they booked a Model T car group and the cars were noisy and had fumes. Not the groups fault.

Had a great time over the new year weekend. Close to everywhere. Nice steaks at the steak house and drinks at Cattleman Lounge. Will definitely be back.

Check in is too late 4pm ended up being 4:20 pm. Granted they have a late check out at 12:00 noon. Room was average at best with broken lock. While waiting in parking lot for room we watched house cleaning staff talking and retreating cans from out side trash cans. They moved slow with no urgency to clean rooms.Lazy! Expressed this to front desk and was not acknowledged as she checked us in.

  • 4/5 Tony S. 1 year ago on Google
A fading beauty. Really nice grounds but sort of a high-class motel feel. The staff totally messed up our check-in and put us under someone else's name which kept us at the desk for 20 minutes. Others in our group complained about the cost of breakfast at their restaurant. In the end everything was okay but not spectacular.

  • 4/5 Jay C. 1 year ago on Google
Great location in the heart of downtown Paso Robles, easy to walk everywhere. Nicely appointed rooms, with a large bathroom in our room above the Grand Ballroom. Learned all about Paderewski after seeing his old concert grand piano in the lobby. Still curious as to why there’s a picture of the Titanic on the wall, but our stay was enjoyable. The problems at the restaurant and bar were taken care of, removed from our bill, so we didn’t feel like we went down with the ship!

I stayed here for the first time this week, I wish it could have been longer. The hotel grounds are like a park, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff is all quite friendly . I will be back, this will be my new go to place when I'm in the area.

I've been trying to contact the manager for a week about an unauthorized charge they said it was a hold and that it would be back on my card by the certain time and it wasnt. I couldnt get anyone to help me so I had to file a claim with the bank so be sure to check for extra charges mine was around $200 not a small amount to be completely ignored

Good bang for the buck. Nice rooms and nice water features filled with large beautiful Koi fish. Many restrictions due to Covid but we support that. Due to water shortage here, they have stopped watering the flowers. Sad, but we will look forward to our return.

I was not at the Paso inn I was just walking by. I should have expanded on my review, I have stayed at the Paso inn in the past years, I've also dined there as well as patronized the bar, prior to this pandemic, now it's nowhere but walks and home, staying well over 6 feet from people

The property is quaint with a nice little courtyard around the pool which is heated. The rooms are a little small and basic but there is a side table w chairs so you could do a little computer work if needed. The place is right by the central park downtown so easy walking to shops and restaurants. This was it's best attribute. Our thermostat was acting up so at times we got a little cold. They worked on it after we checked in and then 2 days later was not working properly again. More important when visiting in January. It was cheaper than some other alternatives but I would probably stay elsewhere on a return visit. We just stayed here again end of September 2020. We stayed in a different wing of the hotel and had minor issues again. The thermostat for the AC didn't seem to work properly. The room was much nicer the our 1st visit. Again easy to walk/shop downtown. I would go to 4 stars for the larger rooms in the old wing, but still had minor issues. All in all a bargain compared to other hotels in the downtown area.

Bad value for what you get ($671.94 for 2 nights in a standard room). Our room had dozens of mosquitoes in it, the towel rack fell out of the wall, the dresser drawers never stay closed when loaded with clothes, and a tiny room to boot. 2 stars for great location only.

  • 4/5 Nance Y. 3 years ago on Google
Beautiful inn that's very charming. You really feel like you are on a country getaway. The grounds are really pretty, with a stone tour, lots of trees and greenery with lovely places to sit in the garden, koi ponds, and small bridges. It's idyllic. The room itself was also very spacious and comfortable. Best of all, the location of the inn is fantastic. It's right in the heart of downtown Paso Robles and within easy walking distance of many restaurants, stores, and downtown tasting rooms (don't worry, it's still super peaceful and quiet as Paso Robles is a quiet town). Good amenities. Our room included a little fridge, microwave, and even a sink in the "kitchen area." Great place to stay and I would come back. However , I docked it one star because the service was not the best. It was fine, but for example when my bf and I were going to the hot springs I called them in the morning to ask for shampoo/ conditioner and some extra towels so that we would have enough . We stayed two nights so a small bottle wasn't going to be enough for both of us. They told me that they would tell housekeeping to bring it to us after 1.5 hours as they were not around at 730 am.. They said they would be available at 9. I was shocked because normally at every hotel I have ever been at, the hotel is ready to help with amenities at all hours. Later on we got back at around 10 and no one had brought the supplies. I had to go find the housekeeping cart myself and ask for towels. Later on in the day I needed a bandaid. The front desk said we had to go ourselves to the front desk to pick up the bandaid. It's possible that they were shorter staffed because of covid. I just had not experienced that before. That said, I would probably still return in the future for the ambiance and great location.

Location is ideal, rooms are clean, service is good. Room is on the small side. My biggest issue was the walls were so thin. They give you ear plugs but still. The grounds are lovely with winding paths and the lobby has lots of old charm. I'd stay again.

My wife and I love this place. We've only stayed once (and the stay was great) but visit regularly to enjoy the balcony on the upstairs bar. One of my favorite things to do in Paso is go out there for dinner...Order a glass of thick red wine and steak bites off of the appetizer menu. Best deal in town.
