Wow! This place was off the hook. We had a party of 10 and they easily accommodated us on a Sunday at 11:30am We started with cocktails. The Paloma, jalapeño pineapple margarita and cane pina colada were amazing. Can’t go wrong with any of these. Chile relleno fundido is a must. I think I could have and should have stopped after this. The salsa, chips and guacamole appetizer was phenomenal. Lunches included multiple orders of the short rib tacos. They were genuinely excellent. My hubby tried it with the reaper ghost pepper salsa. It’s light you up on fire extremely hot but delicious. Multiple orders of the ahi quinoa salad were also ordered. It was good but not amazing. It lacked flavor but we still ate every bite. Ahi crudo was the bomb. I wish I had ordered this instead of the quinoa. Enchilada pollo gringa was also excellent. Service was good, the restaurant vibe was excellent. Highly recommend trying this place. A solid 4 star, weak 5 star because we have a cilantro allergy and they couldn’t accommodate no cilantro in a few menu items.

Had some great tacos while the wife started us off with aguachiles. Made with fish instead of shrimp, it was a little different, but not bad. Nice atmosphere and delicious food. Whats not to enjoy??

This place was awesome. The bartenders were very cool friendly and social. Ordered some happy hour items, the shredded beef taco and some oysters. Soo good. The rose drink and jalapeño drink both great. Looked so cute and really balanced flavors. Would love to come back and get more items.

We stopped in for an early dinner at this popular spot in Paso Robles and were impressed by the interior design and cool bar. The facility was clean and yet had that rustic kind of feel. The specialty cocktails were delicious and service was good. Entrees were well presented and delicious. I'll be going back if we ever visit again. Urban Cowgill

Stopped by during our road trip down to LA. A fancy kind of restaurant, by which I mean, the décor is modern Mexican style, the service team are pretty & cool vibe. But the food is average compared to the interior design. More of paying for the dinning environment than for good food. Located in downtown center, easy to find roadside parking, a nice neighborhood to walk about.

A++ gourmet here!!! The restaurant can be really crowded with long wait time during dinner. However, that means the food is absolutely amazing!!! Short rib is a MUST TRY....boyyyy it's so flavorful that I just wanted to retain that flavor in my mouth forever 😋 Flat Iron Carne Asada is another fabulous dish. The place also has a top notch cocktail bar. I tried Mango Habanero....it went so well together with the food. Some of the table can be really close to the next...but hey it's understandable as they try to accomplish as many customers as possible. The service here is very fast. They also give a small birthday dessert...so sweet!! If you're in Paso Robles, you have to try Fish Gaucho!!!

A very popular restaurant and for a good reason. The food and drinks here are on a very high standard. We had fish and meat dishes and thought both were very well done. The drinks here are also exceptional. The bartenders are really friendly despite how busy things were on a Saturday night. We arrived without a reservation and had to wait about 40 minutes but it was well worth it.

It was a long stressful day and we really needed a restaurant with good food and wine. Walking from the local EV charging station at the BoA towards the town, we saw the crowd at Fish Gaucho and thought that was a good sign, especially for after 8 on a Wednesday night! We were greeted by nice hostesses at the door and the decor inside looked great. Since the place was so busy, we sat at the bar. We opted for a bottle of the local Daou Reserve Cab and the OAXACA FLOCKA NACHOS to start. So glad we ordered the nachos! They were amazing and worth ordering again and again. For dinner, the bartender recommended the short rib enchiladas. So we went with that because it sounded original. I gotta say, the unique, rich, and delicious enchiladas went really well with our Cab The restaurant does a fantastic job. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re passing through Paso!

Recommended spot to go for a bite if visiting the area both by friends and locals. Slightly turned off from the strong smell of fish when entering the restaurant. For me, this usually is a warning sign to leave. But decided to give the place a chance. I wanted to try something different, so I got the Chile Verde de Gaucho. It was more like a beef osso buco topped with an egg and served with tortillas versus the traditional pork chile verde I'm used to eating. Overall, the meal was way better than expected.

This place is fantastic. The service and food were both phenomenal. Had the best nachos of my life! Burro and chile verde were also amazing.

Starting off with the good things, I found that the interior of the restaurant was very cool. The server was very kind, and the food all arrived very quickly. However I just felt like out of the items ordered, neither of them tasted special. The octopus ceviche was mostly tomato, and the tacos were okay. The short rib was the best of the bunch. Salsas tasted a bit too watered down. Overall from the things I tried, nothing was bad, but everything was relatively average. I think this spot has a lot of potential and has room for improvement.

A popular restaurant in downtown Paso. Shared plates of the nachos, tacos, and ceviche. The food was okay, a few of us had upset stomachs after eating. The decor of the restaurant is cool but we did not receive great service. The host was pretty rude when we arrived. We were bummed as the reviews for this place are great but our experience was pretty mediocre.

Excellent food and service. They have an extensive bar as well. We had a ceviche appetizer, cod tacos, short rib tacos, and flan for dessert. It is a loud place so if you want a more quiet evening, consider sitting outside.

I live out of state and sent my parents to Fish Gaucho to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. It was a great experience!! My parents felt so honored and celebrated by the staff, top to bottom. They reported that the hostess and waitresses were super accommodating and kind, so interested and happy they'd come to the restaurant. The community that was there was also impressive; multiple customers wished them congratulations and even offered to pay for their meal. All that on top of what they said was an excellent meal and environment. I'll be back in state in a few months; dinner at Fish Gaucho will be on the itinerary!! Thank you for taking such great care of my parents.

The experience: We had a party of four with a reservation, and we were seated within a few minutes of arriving. The server was very nice and our food arrived in a reasonable time. Our party shared five different tacos. Need to know: Everything is a bit pricey for the portion size, including the drinks. Notable: The vegetarian tacos were good quality, not just the obligatory vegetarian offering on the menu.

Where do I start, food was amazing and definitely want to come back for the CA sea bass. Service was on point and made the experience. Great place to get an excellent prepared meal with a great atmosphere for talking for hours. Oh, try that blood orange cheese cake. Definitely a game changer for cheese cake lovers.

I had the tacos here and my girlfriends had the lobster enchiladas. The entire service from beginning to end was pleasant. The food? Exquisite! I had the carnitas tacos and they infused them with pineapple. This combo 👌. I loved my dinner! I also had their special drink called The Paloma and it had the perfect combinations of liquor and flavor. I will be back! I can’t wait to try another item from their menu.

Nice ambiance and conveniently located in downtown Paso. Their cocktails were all very tasty and not too sweet. Got their nachos and they were able to make it vegetarian. Tacos were slightly above average, service was good; overall, a good experience.

Really nice restaurant in Paso. The staff was friendly, we didn’t make a reservation but were able to get seated in about 20 minutes on a weeknight. We got the octopus ceviche, nachos, and fish tacos. The food was excellent and really fresh. We also got the flan which I wouldn’t recommend, it was more dense and not very soft as you would expect. The also have outdoor covered seating which is nice as well. The atmosphere was great and vibrant and would recommend for any type of group.

👍 Great tastings. Plan to do the tour if you have time. The tour about an hour and includes tastings which will pay for the cost of the tour. You may end up spending more money on the limited releases only available at the brewery.
