When I think of La Villa, I think of warm pillows of raviolis in a tangy marinara sauce, a delicious gooey Chris combo sandwich bursting with flavor and a meatball that is a meal in itself. There are plenty of hot classic Italian food options to go and delectable sandwiches to choose from. You can't go wrong with anything they serve at this gourmet delicatessen. There are an array of Italian staples. Including, various snacks, draft beer, assortment of salad, desserts, pasta, pizza, raviolis, cutlet, sandwiches and meatballs. Everyone is friendly, including fellow customers. It's like visiting a big family. They want to feed you and they are always happy to see you. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY

We've tried the ravioli (two types: meat and cheese ravioli) and both were amazing. I also got a Chris special sandwich and meatball sandwich and enjoyed every single bite of it. If I had to choose one, I'd go with the Chris special as it has a super creamy and delicious sauce in it. I also tried their tiramisu. A little sweet for me but that is probably just a personal preference so I defenitely recommend it. The cashiers were all friendly and polite. That is what you'll only see and tell when you go to an authentic Italian deli. My only complaint is about their working hours. Why on earth you guys close at 5:30 pm? You guys are so so amazing that you should keep the store open 24/7. Love you guys and Ciao 😍

Cool place - worth checking out. Staff was friendly and service was quick. We ordered beef ravioli, Chris Combo and an Italian sandwich. The Chris Combo sandwich was solid. Would definitely order this again. The beef ravioli was good, not bad but not amazing. Would order to try again. The Italian was disappointing. Let me clarify, it wasn't bad but I have high expectations for an Italian sandwich from an Italian deli. To be fair, everyone else thought the Italian was good but also said it wasn't the best. I would skip this and get the Chris Combo sandwich instead.

Absolutely delicious. Took recommendations from the friendly staff and it was amazing. Deli sandwich of mortadella and head cheese. Famous ravioli. Roasted chicken. Lasagna. Everything I tried was top notch. Will definitely be back to try more. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I visited this gem for the first time today… I cursed myself as I somhow missed this place for so long . I reached at 10:45 and there were around 80 people in front of me. The was was too long but it’s worth every minute of it. We tired oven roasted turkey and roasted chicken sandwiches both were excellent . Opted for cranberry sauce and stuffing to be added in sandwiches so yummy. For the sides we tried mashed potatoes abs gravy … so soft and buttery . Cheese ravioli was soft and silky Canoli and tiramisu were for dessert. Tiramisu was too good, cannoli was ok .

This place is a San Jose classic. The first time I ate here was in 2010 or sometime around then. I tried their ravioli for the first time and it blew my mind. I think about it all the time. The place is a casual Italian deli, but during Covid you order outside and they bring it out to you. The pastrami sandwich is good but ~$15. I would reccomend their meatballs and ravioli. The stuffed eggplant is okay too but not my favorite. Very busy so plan on waiting!

Went yesterday, Saturday, for the first time in probably ten years due to moving out of the area. Staff is efficient. Food was just as delicious. Highly recommend.

Most importantly…take a number. Walk in three steps, look right and pull a number. Then decide, change your mind, and decide again what you’re going to eat this trip to LaVilla. Default must have are the rav’s-pint minimum and if go quart ask to have cheese in da middle and the top. Deli sando’s (Italian combo yum) made with shredded lettuce (my favorite). Hot table include all kinds of goodness like meatballs, artichokes, chicken etc. there’s desserts, drinks some wine and other Knick knacks to complete a picnic or dinner to go. Private lot parking, outdoor tables and street parking available.

Great food, great service. The ravioli has been a Christmas tradition in San Jose for generations. Calling ahead or ordering online will save you some time most of the year, but the last two weeks of December are prime time to bring a bottle of water, something to read, and some patience for your fellow food lover. And LaVilla is worth the wait!

It's a narrow walk-in deli with a dozen customers with ticket numbers waiting for service & cashier. You can eat outside patio. They are known for fresh daily Rav's with various fillings. I got box of 48 fresh meat with pint meat sauce to go. However I 💕 the Chicken Panini where the sandwich didn't have enough bread & too much filling! No brainer 5 star's for me!

La Villa always has certain people waiting on me. I used to live right down the street from there. So, I know and really like the food they serve. The people I know there, still call me 'Tater Salad, because I really enjoy it a lot. It is just the kind of place that is very good, one of a kind very nice shop to eat their food. I know Chris, Geoff, Paul, Patti, Patti's daughter, and the great guy who often does the BBQ outside, but I don't remember his name. I like to go there when I am in Willow Glen, because I always get an "Upper" when I stop to buy something to eat, drink, and give the people something funny or nice to think about.

I lived in Willow Glen 22 years ago. Moved to Folsom CA. My parents live in Sunnyvale. When I come to visit I need to bring La Villa home. Always get the most amazing food and the most, most amazing service. THE BEST!!!

They have the best Ravioli. We drive an hour to come and get them every year for Christmas. It's definitely a long wait, in store, but always worth it. We got Roast beef sandwiches this time also. They were great!

Got two Italian combos and a pint of ravioli to go and it was the best Italian lunch in San Jose so far! The meat to bread and everything else ratio in the subs were really good and the raviolis were so pillowy soft and melts in your mouth! Will definitely be back for more!

I love this place and the only place I go to when I crave a proper pastrami sandwich! They’ve got your dinner covered too if your day is busy you just buy yourself a pasta and one their delicious sauces (I usually get the vodka sauce). Be prepared for a long line around lunch time!

They have a pretty extensive menu in addition to the various grocery items. Great sandwiches; the Chris combo lives up to its reputation, but I'm not quite convinced that the raviolis do, which everyone seems to rave about. The place has a friendly feel and nice staff despite the insane bustle they have to deal with, probably constantly. Can't wait to go back and try other menu items.

Look at this beauty! Delicious Italian combo. The roll was so fresh and soft it tasted like it just came out of the oven. The meat was fantastic. Just the right fixings and dressing. Whoever made it was a professional! Brings up memories of Lotito’s thirty five years ago when I lived in in NJ. That’s how good it was. Nothing else has come close except this.

This spot is located in the Willow Glen area and I first discovered it through my boyfriend. It’s a mini market that sells sandwiches, salami, cheese, pastries, and ravioli. When you go here you HAVE to get the Chris’s Combo!! It’s one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had in the Bay Area! This spot is a very authentic Italian spot. The ravioli is also very good!!! Hands down the best ravioli I’ve had. They also have a pastries selection and out of all the selection, I’ve only tried the pistachio pastry and that one was right up my ally since it’s not too sweet. I will definitely be back here!

This place is a must go! Chris combo and the Italia sandwich were delicious. Kiddo had the ravioli and I couldn’t leave without trying the marinated octopus.

First off I have to say I love this place. Little old school deli with a large Italian cuisine. I haven't been there in a while . Stopped by to pick up some beef ravioli. The ravioli was so mushy they couldn't be eaten. I don't like to complain but I was very disappointed especially after ranting how good they are. I realize it's hard to keep them warm but maybe only sell raw or cook to order? Serving them this way will definitely hurt you guys in the long run .

La Villa is my culinary sanctuary! 🌟 The sandwiches are like a symphony of flavors, each bite a perfect note. The ravs? A taste bud revolution—try them, thank me later! The vibe here is a cool blend of New York swag and Italian charm. It's not just a meal; it's a vibe, and it's seriously a hidden gem.

Food is always delicious. Love that the specials get posted on Facebook and Instagram to check each day. Super nice people that try hard to please everyone and great service. The only issue is the parking lot is small and they are downtown Willow Glen so its hard to park sometimes. But its worth it.
