Purchasing windows from Lowe's was one of the worst experiences and decisions I could have made. My home was damaged from hurricane Ida, so I needed the windows installed as quickly as possible. I waited 3 months and after several calls to the store found out my windows had been delivered to the store weeks ago. However, I would need to reach out to the installer (never given that information at the sells process) and he had a 3 weeks waiting period for installation. After scheduling a install date and taking the day off work, I received a call from the installer the day before to inform me they needed to reschedule. The installers had trouble installing the windows and due to them speaking very little english I found it extremely difficult to communicate with them. They left exposed wood and gaps in the silicone surrounding the windows. I filled out the survey and requested a call back from a regional manager and weeks later I still haven't received a call. Take the time to research other vendors, Lowe's doesn't sell quality product, doesn't respect your time, doesn't value customer feedback, lacks leadership and organization.

Tired of this place, always shows items in stock online, but never in stock at store, like they just don’t give a cr** anymore. Wonder why plumbing or hardware is always a mess? it’s never restocked or organized plus customers frustration in having to dig around and find misplaced items on their own time. This is why Amazon wins even for small parts. -— 5 min from my house, not super busy, and self checkout. Tons of holiday decorations and riding tractors so my kid loves going With me Once and a while garbage customers. Check this gem from this weekend dumping his trash there.

Trash. Customer service: non-existent Product Availability: better luck on placing a bet on a specific insider number at a roulette table. Online order pickup process: 24 hour turn around time to acknowledge your order, then cancel it due to inaccurate inventory in store. They send you to another Lowe’s, which then can’t find the order when you arrive after they confirmed that they have your item. Employees playing Rock,Paper Scissors while you are waiting and waiting and waiting. And the manager acknowledged them doing it. I can go on and on and on. Filled out surveys and requested feedback from managers to call no response. I remember when the lot use to be dirt and a vacant company B’s was there, I had more fun and enjoyed visiting the location back then versus what it is now. I’m patient and forgivable for bad days, but when you consistently mess it up and it only gets worse that’s the end for me. Orangeburg and the surrounding villages deserve better than the circus there. We work hard for our money Lowes, you need to work just as hard to receive it from us instead of taking advantage of the fact that you are big warehouse for stuff and located at a close distance for us.

Good luck if you’re having any appliance delivered. They missed their window twice and would not wait for me to arrive the 2nd time. Getting a refund and going to Home Depot

we waited an 1hour 10 minutes at parking lot without their contact for curb side pickup. They could not find the ready items and we found them. Manager says (Malachi) he will contact us within 20 minutes of investigating this matter, but he would not. Terrible customer service!!! Lowes at Orangeburg obviously think that the waiting time of the customer is not important. They were busy hanging up our phone 6 times. After 2 hours he called us on the phone and said " I gave you a 10% discount (just $10..)" what is up with this attitude??? Is that how Lowes do it??? Is this the attitude of the employees that the local manager really wants?

I recently visited this store to get a glass cutting service, and my experience was extremely disappointing. The young man who assisted me was incredibly rude from the beginning. Despite my clear request for the glass cutting service, he initially refused to provide it, showing a complete lack of professionalism. After much insistence, he reluctantly agreed to cut the glass but continued to display an unpleasant attitude while asking for the measurements. I needed a piece measuring 25 inches in length and 7 inches in height. To my surprise, he brought out the largest piece of glass and proceeded to break it while attempting to cut it. Not only did he mishandle the glass, but he also claimed that he couldn't cut it due to the measurements, despite my specifications being well within reason. When I inquired about the possibility of someone else helping me, he arrogantly stated that he was the only one available and suggested coming back another day if I wanted assistance from a different person. Throughout the entire interaction, I maintained a polite demeanor, as I work in customer service myself. I eventually requested to speak with the manager, who was summoned by the young man. To my relief, she was able to handle the glass cutting and efficiently selected a smaller piece that was suitable for the job. It was a stark contrast to the unprofessionalism and lack of competence demonstrated by the employee. Overall, my experience at this store was abysmal. I strongly advise others to consider alternative options, such as Home Depot, where you're more likely to find better service and knowledgeable staff who value their customers.

So very disappointed with my experience at Lowes. Went there to pick up one specific item, that was on display in the store. I asked an associate for assistance to which he replied “I don’t know…they moved the boxes” He repeated this over and over. So due to some mysterious box moving employees this sale was not to be made. He then refused to sell me the floor model. All and all, my visit to Lowes in West Nyack to pick up one item became a half hour foray of ineptitude. Ridiculous

I just spent 30 minutes asking for assistance from 5 different associates all who told me they were either on break, not the right department or "I'm new and don't know anything". Literally walked out without purchasing what I came in for, since I got absolutely no help. It seems all you need to be hired at Lowes is a pulse, poor work ethic and a bad attitude.

The sales person was fantastic, but I'm a bit frustrated after paying for an estimate to install a storm door and waiting over a week without any response to my calls, I requested a refund. Home depot had someone there to measure the next day. Not sure if I would want lowes sub-contractor to do a job if lowes can't reach them. That being said, I'm not sure there is a legitimate reason they didn't respond, so the choice is yours. Picking out my storm door at home depot today. 😉🚪

Always have the items I need for me and my business. Sometimes staff can be hard to find but you can find anything in the store using the app.

This is a continuance of my last post. Keep in mind I never almost rarely ever put up reviews nonetheless -ones but that’s how bad this experience was. So today when I called the store, I get the manager on the phone and he first off tells me he’s the general manager come to find out he’s the assistant manager, so he lied to me then he didn’t want to help me. He gives me to the back room manager I believe his name was colin. Not was he just rude. He never said sorry didn’t offer to help. Kept trying to put words in my mouth. Bottom line i cancelled the order and purchased the washer/dryer also from best buy. Do not give them your business in any facet. They do not care nor do they know how to do anything correctly.

Bad experience with customer service and when they called over Anthony to try to help, even worse of a experience. Would not recommend this Lowe’s or at least the people working there.

If could give 0 stars I would. The problem started in February when we ordered our fridge on January 25th, 2023. They told us the fridge would be delivered on February 16th, 2023. Keep in mind, our fridge is not working so this fridge was urgent. February comes and goes and nothing. March comes and at the end of march is when we receive this fridge. When the people delivering our fridge comes they took off the doors off the fridge to be able to fit through our front door. Doing so they ripped a wire off the fridge causing the freezer lights to not be on and the fridge door alarm to go off the entire time because the fridge believes it is open. As soon as I noticed the problem I called lowe’s and they had me going around in circles doing different troubleshoots with no answer. They told me to contact samsung and find answers but samsung could only suggest replacing the door. I called lowe’s back letting them know about samsungs suggestion and they informed me that the men that delivered the fridge would come back to check it out. Those same men called the next day saying they did not need to see anything and suggested replacing the door. Then called Lowe’s back to explain to them what happened and they said they could do that. 2 weeks later nothing happened so we call again and no one in the store knows what we are talking about. Now at this point we are VERY upset because this is a BRAND NEW fridge. We have gone to the store multiple times and everytime we are greeted with attitude and no help what so ever. We finally got someone to help and they said we would have to return the fridge and wait for a new one to be delivered leaving us with no fridge. Then we were told to return this fridge and grab a fridge from the floor until the new fridge is delivered. That suggestion was back in June and it is October and we are still having to deal with this situation and every time we call to speak with any management from the store they are either to busy or not in for the day. Such horrible customer service here.

Avery who works here is professional and very helpful. He went in the back to find an item for me that wasn’t yet out on the floor. He’s very patient and always had a smile. I hope his superior sees these because he is definitely a rare find nowadays. Thanks again for your help Avery 😁

My experience so far with Lowe’s has been a disaster. Ordering blinds for a patio door and three other windows in my house should have been very easy and straightforward you would think. Having visited the store, I selected the blinds and paid a deposit. Lowe’s then send out an independent company to measure and the same company will install. Having validated the measurements with the third party….they then emailed to Lowe’s to order. The sales associate even revisited and clarified those measurements with the third party before ordering the blinds. All seemed to be good up to that point and I paid in full. Weeks passed and the blinds were finally delivered. A few weeks later….the installer arrived and after removing everything from the boxes, I was informed that all four windows were not correct…..Lowe’s had ordered the wrong size even after clarification. For almost a month I have blinds left by the side of each window and downstairs, boxes standing upright against a wall. Having tried multiple times to contact the sales associate, I finally get through to a person. I was very calm expressing my dissatisfaction and was told (you can pack up the blinds and bring them back to the store)……Lowe’s make the error but its my responsibility to repack and return the blinds to the store? At that point I stated my want was to have the blinds reordered and installed asap and the other blinds removed following the installation. The person on the other end of the phone assured me that that would be done immediately and would take about two weeks. Almost a month has passed and you guessed ….no word from Lowe’s……can’t get anyone on the phone that seem to knows anything about what action has been taken and it seems nothing exists in the system. Clearly no one cares or does what they state they are going to within the store. At this point I’m completely disgusted and dissatisfied and just want the company to come pick up the blinds and refund my money. I’m happy to go to another provider and hopefully will have a very different experience. Lowe’s have demonstrated and underlined the fact that they really don’t care about the customer. Lesson learned….. Update10/30/23 So Lowe’s reordered the blinds for me after the first fiasco. Weeks passed…..no communication or response to my emails. Out of the blue three boxes were delivered on Monday of last week. The installer arrived on Friday morning the 27th. He removed all three blinds from the boxes and a few minutes later professed all three blinds were still not cut to the correct size. I can’t believe we have done this exercise twice now and I still have blinds that don’t fit the windows. Top class job Lowe’s……please don’t bother sending the survey.

My usual stop whenever I need to work on some house project. I do not recall a time where I could not find what I needed for my house. The staff is responsive and courteous. Lately I noticed some unmanned police vehicles stationed there making alarm sounds, letting people know they are there, I guess for protection purposes. I never felt uncomfortable there so I do not understand the reason for these vehicles being stationed there.

They had about 40 different Christians trees on display. There was only 4-5 choices available in the pile of boxes, seemed like a bait and switch. Delivery option was almost 3 weeks out 😳

Had to come back several times to cut plastic sheet. Over changed for the hole saw. Horrible customer service. Guy took reciept and said i never gave it to him and couldnt make returns and wont do store credit. I went back in line, manager laughed at me while telling me to leave and then guy finds reciept behind counter. Rude ignorant and short sighted employees/ manager. She laughed in my face while im out about $200 Will just go to bekerlee lumber across the street. I will try and take back or exchange all my kobalt tools and definitely not buy any more. Wow lowes way to loose an avid customer over pettiness.

Was there on 11/10/23 1:45ish PM, today to buy some salt for the the water softener. There were over 10 damage bags, so I purchased 3 40lbs bags. In the past, I have always received a 50% discount because these bag are not full and leaking. At the checkout today, the manager (white older lady) refused to give me the 50% discount. Her logic was if the bag was 50% full, you will get a 50% discount. DOES LOWES HIRE THE DUMBEST MANAGERS? If i was to get a 50% discount on a 50% full leaking bag, I would rather buy a full bag will no leaks. Idiots like her should be fired for lack of basic math skills. The policy has always been a discount on damaged goods. Has always been 50% off leaking bags of salt because Lowes workers do no care how they cut the pallets. There are ALWAYS damaged bags of salt. ALWAYS.

Title: Disappointed with Gas Tank Purchase from Lowe’s Review: I recently purchased a gas tank from Lowe’s, but I must say that I am quite disappointed with my experience. Upon opening the package, I discovered that the gas tank was empty. I barely had the opportunity to use it, as it ran out after just one use. I will never buy anything from that store again.

I love this LOWES. Eventhough I live in Jersey. It's a great store. Good staff. Full merchandise etc. I enjoy getting out of the area sometimes so Orangeburg is just far enough but not too far!!

  • 1/5 Michael S. 11 months ago on Google
Lets start by saying i walked into lowes in orangeburg to buy a washer/dryer and a fridge with the 4 year warranties on both, everything with installation all parts very simple to the point. The only reason why I went to the store was because I didn’t have the credit card on me. Fast forward 3 hours later not dead they just have a problem processing the orders. We were only able to place an order for the washer dryer stackable unit. It’s called the laundry center before they canceled our credit card and said there was fraud. Fast forward three hours later after multiple phone calls with multiple managers in the store, Anthony and Ganesh. Managers in finance as well to be told that they had canceled our card once we used it the first time because it’s been inactive for a year. Keep in mind they allowed the first purchase to go through then said it was fraud had us verify the information said the card was fine all for us to get to five managers later saying They need to send us a new card and they can’t process the second transaction. If it was fraud, why would they allow the first transaction correct? Anyway what I did was I went home. Ordered the refrigerator on Best Buy. Actually save myself almost $400 and that’s that. Now this past friday i get a call at 7:50am 10 minutes before they are supposed to deliver the washer/dryer saying its not in stock. So i call the store ask them to compensate me for the screw up and they do this time (rightfully so) so they took 200 off but then had to wait almost another week for it. Now today the unit comes with a huge dent on the front left right by the panel/edge. I call the store ask for a manager.

Melissa at Lowe's is an exceptional employee. She provided excellent customer service, being patient and helpful throughout our checkout process. Despite my accidental pinch of her finger with a paint can handle, she remained calm and professional, assuring us that she was alright. Melissa's positive attitude and friendly demeanor left a lasting impression on us. She truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a great shopping experience. I highly recommend Melissa to anyone visiting Lowe's. Her exceptional customer service skills make her a valuable asset to the company. Thank you, Melissa!

We were able to get what we were looking for along with free about assembly and delivery. Couldn't get that at any of the other places we went to. Amazing Customer Service staff was the icing on the cake.

I would give zero stars if possible . Delivered my washer dryer on a Wednesday and said it wouldn't fit down the stairs . Said they would not wait for the banister to be removed ( 2 minutes ) so my fiance allowed them to put it in the garage . An appointment was made for Friday at which time when it was put in the basement it was damaged , while trying to contact the store the driver said he was calling also , went outside and left and signed the delivery receipt himself . Was supposed to come back to pick up the unit at 730 am Saturday. Rang the bell at 709 . I went and opened the side door and put shoes on . By 712 my old machine was in my driveway and they were gone . Now i am left with a damaged unit in my basement and my functioning units in my driveway ( in the rain) and no ability to do my laundry . Spoke to 3 different " managers on and off for 3 hours to get thisresolved and this is the outcome. Absolutely disgusted. Now i am sure i will be on the phone for another 3 hours and hopefully get someone who cares abd will do something . Wishful thinking.

Went shopping for a threshold. Came back the next day as the one I got didn't fit. It took over 16 minutes to finally get someone to assist me. Agents walked past me and my cart holding a threshold plate. I went to customer service but the line was long and slow so I went back to the head of the aisle. Agents walked past me. Finally a woman agent "saw me" and called for a helper. He showed me where they were (which I knew, but I needed help) and he told me to try this one and "I'll walk away and you can open it and try it". He walked away and never came back. I had to go seek help from the female agent and she diligently and caringly helped look. She assured me that this one would work. I had to show her that the track was completely different. Even completely new sets of the rail and seal didn't match the layout of the one I had. Then I asked for help with weatherstripping. They didn't have a size that matched what I brought. She told me to buy this large size and cut it in half. Totally not what I was looking for. I left frustrated, sad and mad. This was the middle of the day and not many customers in the area. I ended up ordering the threshold thru another online service.

Diane in the windows dept helped me. She was awesome. She was on hold with a vendor on the store telephone at the time, but left it to walk me across the entire store to show me materials to fix a broken screen window. She went out of her way to help me and encourage me to do the repairs by myself. She was incredibly kind and cool. She is most definitely underpaid!
