The owner was there when we went in the evening. He was very nice and accommodating. He was excited to let us try many items - who does that anymore and doesn't charge? Wow! Very transparent about what any of the item's ingredients are. The food was tasty! I enjoyed this vegan Turkish cuisine, it made me HAPPY indeed. The bathroom wasn't stocked almost out of soap and had no towels but not fretting about it. Baklava was amazing! Everything is made or at minimum prepared in-house too.

So I forgot I had a scathing review for the previous owner. The place has changed hands and as before the food is great and now they are open when they say they are so I can actually get lunch! Very friendly owners and while I am not vegan, this is a good alternative to get away from our diets that are heavily meat loaded. Good source of protein too. Always feel good after eating here.

If you need a push I say do it and try this awesome vegan hot spot!! One of my favorite vegan food spots to stop at whenever I’m in the area and if you have never tried Turkish cuisine before it is totally worth it! My friend from Turkey was super impressed when we visited, and I’m always happy to bring my friends to new vegan restaurants in the area. Add this one to your list! I have met the owner before and you can tell they are clearly passionate about the business, and providing a valuable food service for the community. I hope they are able to open more locations, as I really enjoyed visiting the Hoboken location as well.

Tried the vegan kofte roll and the lentil soup. Quality of the materials used in the preparation can be tasted in the freshness of the food. No cutting corners there. Not a vegan myself but looking to try the vegan gyro or the vegan burger on my next visit. Recommend to people who want a healthy alternative to greasy burgers and thawed gyros.

This place is pretty good. Although I probably won’t be coming back unless it’s for a strawberry smoothie. Don’t get me wrong there’s nothing wrong with this place it’s probably not for everyone I love vegan food but I just wasn’t too thrilled last night. I’d like the garlic rice with the vegetables and the curry I mean that was great but there’s not that much of a choice here for me to eat. Definitely try this place out though and give them their business their wonderful.

They are very nice here in spite of the fact that I picked up my order 10 minutes before they closed. The food is very good - specifically the hummus, which I don’t know why no one has mentioned in any of the other reviews. But seriously this is some of the best hummus I’ve ever had, I would come here again for that alone but on top of that, I was a big fan of the kofteh.

I used to come here when it was originally Nefista. However, the food at Happy Vegans is far better than what I remembered! Great quality, healthy, and tastes amazing! Customer service was outstanding! They even stayed open a few minutes past close for us to finish our food. Highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to try Vegan or Turkish food. I’m not vegan myself and neither is my wife, but we genuinely enjoyed this type of food and will continue to drive 2+ hours to visit this place at least once a week.

First and foremost, the food was incredible. It can be challenging to find a restaurant that offers a variety of delicious vegan options, but Happy Vegan exceeded all expectations. The staff is very friendly and the food/taste is amazing. The restaurant is very clean. I know for a fact this place has high quality food products since I am very sensitive when it comes to ingredients and HAPPY VEGANS food never makes me feel in any form of bad state. So I have tried the Hoboken location so wanted to give this location a try. First they rarely answer the phone. I tried to call before and no one ever answered. Luckily after a couple tries I got someone. The server answered and I ordered the chickpea over rice and koftah wrap and it came to close to $15. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and the man that took my order was working alone. I called to him and he came and took my payment and my food. When I got home I dug in and I liked the chickpea and rice. The wrap was just ok, wasn't a huge fan. All in all I had an ok experience.

One of the nicest restaurants in the area, and it's fully vegan! The food is delicious, highly recommend their Kofteh and baklava! The owner is super sweet and welcoming. He gave me small samples when I wasn't sure what to order, and remembers me any time I come back. They are very good with dietary restrictions and can run through the ingredients of any item for you. Much of the menu is highly customizable. Highly, highly recommend!

Hidden “vegan” gem in Clifton, NJ. The service was well above average. The owner was super friendly and informative. I waited under 5 minutes for my order (chickpea wrap) and it tasted amazing! Their pastries are also really good. Overall, I give them a 10/10 as everything was perfect.

This is my regular last stop of monthly Clifton, NJ visits. Apart from being courteous and friendly, the delicious vegan options are really great! If you are passing by the area must stop to try the wrap and spicy vegan kofta!!

Hidden little vegan gem in Clifton. I have been going there for a while now and they never disappoint. My all time fav is their spicy vegan wrap. It has so little calories but packed with flavor. Also, the place is very clean and the staff is extremely friendly. Don’t forget to try their desserts as well. The vegan baklava is delicious.

I like the kofte wrap but the taste was a bit different from Nefista which is my favorite. Also the soup was not so good. The restaurant can be cleaner.

We were the only customers there when we went - so I was a bit nervous - but the kofte and chickpeas surpassed my expectations!! Nothing on the menu was kid-friendly (too spicy) - but I had a feeling that would be the case. Great service! Clean restaurant! Will absolutely return!

Looking for a new vegan spot and this hit the mark. Really great restaurant, friendly, helpful staff, all vegan. Falafel wrap, traditional gyro platter over rice, and a kofta wrap w/ fries and baklava - just amazing.

My husband ordered me spaghette with red sauce from Clifton location. I opened up the container and it was mixed pasta, over cooked mushrooms and little to no sauce. The only flavor it had was mushrooms and a bad aftertaste as if it was spoiled. He also ordered the lentil soup and there was no lentils in it. It was just liquid. It was very bland. He tried. I will not be reordering.
