Stopped in for breakfast at this all vegan NJ diner restaurant, and can confidently say there are some great elements. Customer service is prompt, friendly, and quick. Waitress was very accommodating and although she was new, she went above and beyond to answer all our questions as best as possible. Food was made quick to order, servings were large, and menu is reasonably priced as well! There has been a recent switch of ownership to a new owner, and the restaurant feels like it is “under construction” at the time of this review. The newly printed menu is similar to its predecessor, but although it looks modern it lacks distinction and color. It would be great to have a better menu design and a more creative interior design of this diner restaurant, but maybe these are currently in the works. Under new ownership this establishment may be headed in the right direction but only time will tell. We found out the new owner is not vegan, so their heart may not be into the overall restaurant and this leaves a question of passion for an all vegan business. The service and food is there, but will the details and integrity stay true to the business focus, we will see! We tried the loaded fries (super flavorful and filling) breakfast burrito (great flavors, but felt like it lacked a signature sauce or dressing), and skyline salad (so refreshing and such an awesome portion!).

I am not a vegan, but the food here is so delicious that you forget you eat meat. The ambience here is friendly and the staff will help you and guide you in the event you need help making a decision. A legit winner. We always hit up Simply Green driving back from NYC to Canada. Everything is above-average tasty and fresh, and the portions are diner-size. A few of our favourites include the Chik'n Caesar wrap, the perfectly done fries, the Sweet Green salad, the Berry Power smoothie, and the sensational vegan cannoli. The decor is spacious with some old-style booths, and the service is small-town friendly. We love it here!

During my visit, customer service is on point; an employee is very kind and patient throughout my dine in experience. I start with the Egyptian Lentil Soup which tastes good, every bite with a tinge of gingery taste: I really like tasting every bite with a drop of hot sauce (literally one drop per spoonful, so good). I finish with a Reuben and Waffle Fries w/ Seasoning; the Russian Sauce and Corned Beef (Vegan) make the sandwich for me though the Swizz Cheeze definitely makes each bite a softer than harder crunch; the Waffle Fries are good though I don't generally go for food out of a fryer often at all. The establishment takes different forms of payments.

Today was my first time at this cafe. It's 100% vegan! The food is fresh and delicious!!! The ambiance is great, and they offer free wifi to the customers. I'm looking forward to dining here again!!!

Amaaaaaaazzzzziiiiiiiinnnnnnggggg vegan restaurant !!!! The food was so delicious I would go again every day. I ordered the loaded fries for everyone and everyone loved it so much they couldn’t stop eating it. I had Caesar salad after all those potatoes and carbs and the chicken was so good. I thought it would have been perfect with a little bacon or capers , some little extra punch of saltiness but I still loved it a lot. If we are ever around there again, I will definitely either make my car group eat here with me like I did today, or I will order takeout from here and follow them to their meat restaurant. The service was also outstanding! It was just one lady and yet she had EVERYTHING COVERED! She was so pro!!! No one was neglected and no one was left waiting. You best tip her well!

Simply Green Cafe is a hidden vegan 🌱 gem 💎 in Ramsey, NJ! We stopped by for lunch and was impressed by their delicious, plant-based menu options. I ordered the vegan garlic veggies pizza and wow the punch of taste was palpable! 🍕 They also have gluten-free bread options, which is a huge plus for those with dietary restrictions. 🍞 I couldn't wait to have dessert 🍪 after so we had it before the meal 😋 ... soft chocolate chip cookie and death by chocolate cake are decadent! The cafe itself has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and helpful. 🙏

First time here. Went for dinner with some family members who have been here before just love the place. They definitely exceeded expectations. To start it wasn't too crowded and we were met by super friendly staff who were highly service oriented. The food came out quickly and was piping hot. From the eggplant parm sandwich to the penne a la Voda to the vegan gyro, each dish was delicious. There fries are also super crispy and addicting so order extra. Simply Green Cafe is definitely worth the trip and is now on our repeat list.

I loved the place as it was very clean and spacious. I also loved the service. Our waiter was very attentive, sweet, and efficient. The food was also good, but I feel as though it lacked a little flavor. I will definitely return to try other dishes as it was still very worth the visit

I really enjoyed eating here, especially because I did not expect to like it as much as I don't have as much experience with vegan food. I have to say that the breakfast burrito here was absolutely fulfilling. The staff was also extremely nice. If I pass through this area again, I can definitely see myself stopping in at this place.

Good service, prices are fair, would suggest the strawberry lemonade, big plate “starter” and cheesecake! We would definitely go again

This wonderful vegan hideaway is a must try. My family and I were so surprised with the menu options. Usually the majority of vegan restaurants have the same bland menu but not this place. I enjoyed a Ruben with a side of potato salad. I must say that it is the best Ruben and vegan potato salad I've ever tasted. Our daughter had the Po-boy and stuffed french toast. My better half had the Philly cheese steak and the Pink drink. We shared each other's dishes and the vote was unanimous. The food and atmosphere is great. The portions are very generous. I put up a few pictures of us enjoying our meals. I figured why take pictures of a plate designed for the eyes only. I captured how much the food was enjoyed. Take a nice road trip here to fulfill your healthy, hearty hunger for delectable food.

Ah can’t say enough about this cafe. Tofu scramble is amazing !! My husband always gets the BLT and he loves it. Lentil soup is a must. A must stop if you’re vegan!! ( or not)

The Eggplant PO'Boy is a must-try! As the waitress described it, you truly get excellent value for your money here. Priced at just $10.75, the Eggplant PO'Boy offers generous portions, and I even had enough to take some home. The staff is incredibly friendly, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. If you're a vegan in the area or just passing by, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

Everything, I mean everything about simply green is just fantastic! Hands down our favorite vegan comfort food restaurant. Sit in, amazing! Take out, amazing! Catering, AMAZING! if you haven’t tried it, you must. Vegan or not you will be very pleased. Highly recommend.

I was one of their most loyal customers coming several times a week sometimes even twice a day. The food and atmosphere quality has gone down in the last year or so but I stayed loyal. Tonight I went in 1 hour before close (8pm closing) and was told they won’t seat anyone from 7-8. I don’t live particularly close so I will no longer be going out of my way to support.

Pleasantly surprised at the flavorful breakfast options. The skillet potatoes were great, I'd eat a whole plate of just those. We also had the "sausage" quesadilla and breakfast burrito. More pico de gallo would be nice (none comes with the quesadilla). The inside is clean but feels a little dated, could do with some refreshing.

Have been going here for years now as there aren't many dedicated veg options in the area, and we're never disappointed. They are consistent. Fun variety of good tasting food - I like this or that item more than another but I've never had a bad one. My biggest complaint is that you can feel the people move in the booth behind you. A little run down but who cares when you get great food. The servers are always really nice too and my kids love it.

Was visiting from the Boston area and came across this amazing vegan spot in town. They have some really good vegan food here. Highly recommend giving it a try! Thank you Simply Green Cafe for great food and awesome service. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in town again!!

"Ding-dong Darling!" This is why being an open minded eater is important. When people say "vegan" then you should not shy from a new experience. Today, we happened to be in the area and came across the Simply Green Cafe. Fortunately, we didn't stop at any other eatery! This vegan cafe has an exceptional menu with a balance of flavor. The Egyptian Lentil was a delight! They also have a meatless breakfast quesadilla that has the right amount of spice in the faux eggs. Who knew tofu, could taste so good? I'm being honest, although I didn't have the Rueban, the sandwich looks like something I'll pick the next time I come here. Overall, today's venture was improved by an excellent choice! The staff is more than welcoming. Healthy food made with great ingredients. Before you criticize a vegan meal, then you have take a chance. Who knows, if you're like us, then you'll find a new café to add on the list of places to go :)

I go here every weekend to try something new since moving to the area. So good, everytime. Best vegan restaurant for 30 miles in any direction.

This place was absolutely wonderful they have so much of a different variety of everything staff is very friendly and everything here is vegan. Definitely try it again well worth all the money I spent here tonight.

This place has delicious food! There are a large variety of dishes to choose from. The chicken parm over linguini was excellent. The fried “calamari” didn’t taste quite like the real thing but it was crispy and delicious nonetheless. The server is very friendly too. And the dessert is A-MAZING! We’ll definitely be back for more!!

Honestly can't even tell you're eating vegan food. The chick'n parm is definitely my favorite thing I've had so far but that's not to take away from anything else they've prepared. Seriously you don't need to be vegan to enjoy this place, it's so good. Vegans can rejoice that there is quality food outside of the city and non-vegans don't knock the idea of vegan food, I promise this place will change your mind. Take away the food, the staff at this place is top notch. Gotta wait for your order? Anyone at that register will talk it up. Got any questions about that menu? Oh they going to give you them deets.
