The Iris Garden is wonderful & the best part dog friendly !! They ask for a donation when you first walk in which is sweet, can’t have all of this beauty for free 😉 So many beautiful bloomed flowers everywhere you turn! It’s decor is also very cute with bridges & benches nicely spread out. All the iris flowers have their name tags on it which is cool because you can see all the variety of kinds there actually are. Once you walk up higher there’s a nice grass field for sitting in the sun and relaxing. Bathrooms on site against far area of the garden. Definitely a cool spot to check out in the spring!!! Spent about 30-45 minutes here and it was wonderful!

Yesterday was a prime day for this beautiful garden. Almost every iris was in bloom. I wasn't aware there is a tent set up with volunteers requesting $8.00 donation from each person. It was worth it for the chance to walk among hundreds of varieties of irises, cared for by volunteers.

It was an awesome breathtaking experience. The people who worked there were quite kind and talkative. All the plants were very well kept and exquisite. But, I would rate it a 4.8 because it was a little small, can't really blame them, but slightly, ever so slightly underwhelming.

The gardens are amazing when the irises are at their peak. Definitely worth the trip. Check the website for the best times to see the irises.

I was there past peak but still took hundreds of photos! The iris were simply amazing. What a joy this garden is. Must see while in bloom. End of may is best.

Beautifully maintained gardens wit by a wide variety of Iris. They have picnic tables to eat, and the area is large enough for kids to play. Street parking only, but there is parking in the rear for a more secluded park.

Great place! Beautiful fragrant blooms. Run by volunteers and on donations so give generously. They have an annual rhizome sale where they select from specific beds every year. I've purchased in the past and have my own glorious irises now too.

Absolutely love these gardens!! The iris are just spectacular. We try to visit every spring. Unfortunately this year the over abundance of rain rotted some of the rhizomes, and the gardens are being refurbished.

The heat killed most of the flowers. I'm sure tgey are so pretty in spring. The grounds are beautiful for a picnic and walking around.

A small garden devoted primarily to Irises with a lovely grouping of Peonies. Bring a picnic to make a casual outing.

Beautiful gardens! Impeccably maintained. Some of the Irises are over 100 years old, and all are labeled with the variety and year. Peak bloom in May. It's a public park, but they take donations. There is only parallel street parking. But I've never had an issue finding a spot.

Well maintained gardens with nice benches to sit and relax. We spent close to two hours lounging here while our kids played and ran across the garden and had great fun. There is also a nice play area right across the road.

If you love irises, this is the best collection you've ever seen. One of our very favorite places. We visit every year.

Stunning diversity in the iris varieties. This was a truly enlightening experience, although the rain this season has been unkind to some of the plants. This property is a beautiful open space to be grateful for in this dense suburban area. I try to not envy those who live within a short walk of this spectacular place. I hope to return soon to catch the late bloomers.

Big fan of the Iris garden, especially when they are blooming in the spring. Just before Memorial Day tends to be the best time. It is a highlight of the year. Kids love running through the gardens, over the bridges and in the huge field adjacent to the reservation. You can connect to the hiking trails and keep going. Great place to have a picnic. Public pool, playground, tennis/basketball and fields are across the street. We are lucky to have it in Montclair!
