We had an awesome brunch here our service was fast and friendly and our food was phenomenal. We had a couple really great drinks as well, I’d definitely come back if I lived local!

I have to honestly say; we haven't really been out or had a good meal that we enjoyed in a very long time during the whole pandemic! This sit down diner was the best food I've had in a long time. The waitresses are always pleasant to talk they are always checking if you need anything. The pancakes are the best! Actually all the food is great. This will be our new go to place date night & with the family. Its Great!

Food was amazing here! Everything was freshly made. The server was very good and attentive to our table. A definite must try.

This little place has everything you want. Good food, great service, a bar, clean and a very nice atmosphere. I stopped in for breakfast and was not disappointed. I had the South of the Border omelette. It was really good. Give this place a try and you won’t be disappointed.

First time visiting the diner for lunch and we had a great time. I ordered a cocktail and coffee and both tasted great. I ordered the mandarin chicken salad with cold noodles and Thai dressing, it was very delicious and the portion size was huge. My mom got pancakes, eggs and bacon and she enjoyed it very much. They were understaffed, but there was virtually no wait time. The staff was very quick and courteous. Our server was Susana and she was super sweet. Her twin sister also works there and she was delightful as well. We'll definitely be back!

Burgers are very good, the environment is very calm, you can have good conversations here. I would definitely recommend. The price is very reasonable as the portions are large.

Waited a very few minutes during a busy Sunday brunch time for a table for 5. Staff was appropriately attentive, food well & quickly prepared. Everyone enjoyed that they ordered. Only negative: it was a little difficult to hear someone on the opposite side of the table. May be a function of aging ears😉; perhaps getting a table on other side of the restaurant, where floor has carpeting would have been worth waiting for. I'll definitely bring folks there again.

The food was tasty, better than what I expected, and a cute theme dinner. Our server was super sweet.

Currently here…I had a cheeseburger & fries, my friend had an omelette with home fries & pancakes, my other friend had half of chicken with corn. The service was great, our server name was Maria.

Super impressed with the kids food choices. For $7.99 you can pick a kids meal that is served with a drink and dessert. My 2 girls enjoyed apple juice and Vanilla ice cream with their kid meals. My one child chose macaroni and cheese and it was a decent sized portion. Her eyes got big and she yelled yayyyyy as the food was served. For NJ diner this was average/ above average experience/food. I do recommend this establishment and would return if given the chance.

Had a funeral out in Jersey and stumbled upon this diner. So, as you can gather from the name, it is a NYC themed diner. Being from NYC, I thought it was odd but well done. We went for breakfast and the food was excellent. They made a very good omelet and some of the best corned beef hash I have ever tried. My wife is a corned beef hash connoisseur, and she gave two thumbs up. The service was also great. Now, granted, it was slow so hard for service not to be good, but i have been to plenty of places where even when not busy, the service sucked. Waitress was very nice and on top of always checking in if we needed anything. My wife never had to ask for water once the waitress was that good. I would totally recommend this place, and when visiting family in Jersey, I will definitely be back.

Ordered fish and chips, was surprised got fish fingers instead. Totally different I usually eat at Great Britain.

Been here a handful of times, can't say I've ever been disappointed! No matter the day or night, you can guarantee good food, service, and atmosphere. As it being in Jersey, it is highly recommended to make it a stop on your list of "visiting the best diners in NJ"!

Service was very good as we had an attentive happy person taking care of our orders. Unfortunately my wife ordered the GDC which was a piled high piece of French Toast, waffle with a bath of table syrup, tons of whip cream and sloppy custard A plate of diabetes. We scooped all the slop off and ended up leaving most over bathing the blueberries and strawberries to remove the fatty sugary toppings. Too much. The danish was not good at all, very doughy with the same custard and my omelette was overcooked and tasteless. Shame as we were hoping for something special but most diners are just average at Best save for Daily Treats in Ridgewood which is a 4.5 star. We'll keep trying

The place is very friendly. The food is fresh and delicious. If you are somewhere around don't hesitate to go. I go there often.

As a NY'r, this was a fun restaurant. Seeing the old signs for the NYC subway. Shea Staduim 😀 😍 The service was great! The food was just ok. There is nothing to rush back for. Chicken Wings 2 ways, Spicy Buffalo or Carolina Dry Rub. Buffalo was the better of the 2, but it was just ok. The dry rub was strangely sweet... Moderna Omelette Portobello mushroom, fresh mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes & basil - the mushrooms were like pickled or something, it was sweetly sour... not enough sun-dried tomatoes, however, it clashed with the mushrooms...

I was sick do my niece decided to order food for delivery . The Chicken balsamic wrap was good. Food arrived hot. But, I needed soup. The cream of Turkey soup was the worst I’ve ever eaten before. I think they took it straight out the can, heated it and put in container. I have high blood pressure so when I tell you salt content was off the charts. You can see the oil floating at the top and it was thick like it was straight out the can. Horrible. When you’re sick and need soup, take my advice and pass. I wish I had ordered from EP Diner.

Super delicious food. I had the Brooklyn Burger and the Techno Fries (also known as Disco Fries in other New Jersey diners). The Brooklyn Burger was delicious, freshly made. The Techno Fries may look just like cheese fries but beneath the cheese is Brown Gravy. Excellent New Jersey staple! Also excellent service. I love the aesthetic and decor with all the New York City subway signs and art and Batman theme. Highly recommend Gotham City Diner for the whole family.

Deanna(I believe that’s how you spell her name), was an amazing server. Very attentive, polite and overall pleasant from start to finish. I would come back here again and would be very pleased if she was my server.
