Telhar waterfall is a popular waterfall that’s found in the Kaimur district in Bihar. This waterfall is on the Rohtas plateau which is in close proximity to the Durgavati River on Bhabua. The waterfall is around 32kms from the Bhabua area and around 47 km from the Mohania area. There are various attractions near the fall including the Maa Mundeshwari Temple which is located 28 kms from it. This is one of the oldest and most prominent temples in the area. This waterfall also has a dam that’s called Karamchat Dam located near it It’s surrounded by amazing views on all sides and is perfect for a picnic with your family or friends. This deep spring of waterfalls is a sight worth seeing and experiencing and while there are quite a few waterfalls in Bihar, this one is a very popular one and a lot of people visit it mainly because of the view. The waterfall ends into the Telhar Kund Lake that is situated at the bottom of the fall and is a popular spot for tourists to come and take a dip.

I took a solo bike ride across Rohtas-Kaimur districts of Bihar in August 2022. It is funny that for someone who has travelled length and breadth of India, a couple of remote districts of Bihar left a life long impression and made me fall in love with these places. This prologue is essential as Telhar Kund was probably the best of all. Situated 32 kms from the town of Bhabua, Telhar Kund is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful water falls in India. The route from Bahbua- Telhar Kund is gorgeous with dense forest along both the sides. In order to reach here, one needs to travel couple of kilometers away from the main road. You'll hear water gushing as you come close to location. Once you reach the location you'll be pleasantly surprised to know this magnificent beauty is all on her own. There'll hardly be any visitors. This will be the case across Rohtas and Kaimur as the world doesn't know anything about these places. If you really want to see off beat tourist destinations visit Rohtas/Kaimur in Bihar. Their beauty is unparalleled. Coming back to Telhar Kund, you can sit and rejoice in the lap of mother nature with peace of mind and serenity. There is not even a single shop anywhere nearby. The place is hardly commercialised which adds more value to the place. Overall, it would be a magnificent experience. (P.S- If you plan on visiting Rohtas/Kaimur please do so in peak rainy season as the region comes alive with hundreds of waterfalls and lush green forests. In summer with little or no maintenance, the places are dry and smelly with nothing to see)

I have been there few day ago i feel too much relaxed and free after visting this place. This is such a one of best waterfalls in indian. Go with full preparation otherwise you will regret cause of there is no food vendor within 15km. Visiting season:- May to September.
