Disappointing frozen stodgy oven chips. Top prices for average food. Service was good though.

Nice food and service, they serve Staropramen on draught which is a bonus, the old part can get quite noisey when busy but that didn't bother me.

My absolute must visit when back home! Any dish on the menu is great, but it's the Hawthorn sundae that I dream of 🤤 don't bother sharing, you'll only order another 😝 it's always a pleasure to pop in to see the boss 'little' John (or 'young' John). He's got the time and a smile for everyone!

After abandoning a restaurant where service was non-existent and failing twice to find another place open for lunch - in July!!? - The Hawthorn was a breath of fresh air with a welcoming smile, good service, a good selection of food and our Pork Escalopes were good. Recommended

40 people for lunch from Peel Pensioners. Our choice from 4 mains and desserts chosen some time before.....Everyone served at the same time....piping hot and delicious..desserts also served at same time. Faultless. Very well done to all the staff especially the kitchen👏👏👏🥩🍟🍕🧀🍷🍺☕️

The Hawthorn is a Great Place to got to. It has a Nice Dining Room and Bar, Mixed with Classic and Modern. And my Favourite part of it is the View. The View looks Amazing! This place is so amazing to drink here, that I wish to eat here next time. 10/10 & 5/5 Stars.

I'm visting the Isle of Man since 2005 to watch the Manx Grand Prix and so i came around a lot in many pubs and restaurants, but the dinner at "The Hawthorn" this year beginning of September was one of the best, if not the best meal i ever had at the whole island! Very good, tasty, quality food, friendly staff, nice interior, i appreciated it a lot and can highly reccomend it! Well done, see you next year for sure!

Organise an overdraft before visiting. Very tasty food, but an evening meal for five person's cost me a day and a halfs pay - and I'm quite highly paid. Driving past and the Hawthorns looks very underwhelming and a bit grubby. The inside is quite cozy, with a smaller seating area by the bar and a larger area for the restaurant. There's also an outside terrace, which must be lovely on a warm, summer night. The staff are very helpful and friendly and put my younger son at ease. They were also very helpful bin describe my certain dishes, such as the Manx Queenies, which were undoubtedly superb, but nevertheless pricey at a little under £10 for a small dish with a single slice of French bread. The menu has a good selection of international and British dishes, all generously portioned, but all a bit pricey. Thai green curry, fish and chips, crispy shredded please pork and rib eye steak, all nicely cooked, presented well and without undue delay. The rib eye was excellent. All in all an enjoyable meal, but the price!

Very tasty food in generous portions. The staff worked really hard to look after our table of 16 and we all had a wonderful time - not an easy talk to deliver but the bar and waiting staff were great.

Had a tremendous Sunday lunch here. Really delicious food and the service was lovely. Sit on the top floor and enjoy the view of the green rolling hills. Gorgeous.

Varied menu, great pub grub. Staff very friendly and efficient. Food arrived quickly and was very tasty. Small plates available, great for a lighter lunch. Ambience was cosy and the place was spotless. Will definitely return.

Always our favourite place to eat when on the Isle of Man. Excellent food and service from the staff. And of course, great views of the TT course when the racing is on.
