Kodukuthimala is the mini Ooty of Malappuram. Amminikadu is a beautiful hill station situated at an elevation of 1770 ft above sea level on an area of 129.49 ha. Kodikuthimala came to be known as Kodikuthimala after the British surveyed the land and placed survey stones and planted a flag at the highest point. The watchtower here is the most important, and in the scorching summer heat, there is a light vibe on the top of the hill. The meadows, which grow up to a head that dances with the light breeze, are even more beautiful. It is a great experience to see the beauty of the mist covered flag while climbing to the top of the hill ..

Seeing some progress..but not up to expectation... charging 40 rupees per person now itself.... Not even toilet facility while visited on 7 dec 2021. while there is a private toilet facility that is charged in a nearby park. need some improvements in the pathways and viewpoints. the photo point is unsafe with kids as there is no safety fencing.... anyway hope for the best in future ..

This is also one among the many hill station in town. This is located near to the Pathaikara and the place is really amazing. Trekking in this hill station is not that comfortable but once achieved it is an amazing experience. The view from the top of Kodukuthi Mala is outstanding , we ll be able to see the entire town. The young breeze from the west enrich the experience to a next different level. Before sunset, we should try to reach back from the top to avoid any further difficulties. This hill station is close to the Kulir Mala.

Now it’s open for visitors ticketing just started on September - 2021 Kodikuthimala also known as the Ooty of Malappuram is a hill station in the Malappuram district of Kerala in India. Located in Vettathur and Thazhekode villages, at a height of 540 m above sea level, this is the highest geographic peak in Amminikkadan hills. Its lush green valleys, grassy meadows, and tranquil ambience add to the mesmerizing appeal of this hill station situated 2000 ft above sea level. Located 10 kms from Perinthalmanna town, Kodikuthimala is the highest point in the Amminikandan range of hills. During a survey, the British hoisted a flag atop the hill, which gave it its name Kodikuthimala (the hill where a flag was hoisted). Kodikuthimala offers a panoramic view of the undulating landscape of Malappuram and is an ideal trekking destination for Nature enthusiasts. Trekking to the top of Kodikuthimala is a little bit challenging due to the varied topography of the hilly terrain. The best time to visit Kodikuthimala is between September to May.
