Got a cranberry Orange muffin and a double chocolate muffin. Tried an eclair for the first time here. The double chocolate muffin was delicious, but the cranberry Orange tasted different from how I had it last time, there wasn’t as much of an Orange infusion so it missed the mark for me. The Eclair was fine, great baked exterior with a creamy inside. Muffins were moist and nicely baked with sugar on top.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I walked in, was not greeted once. Walked over to the counter, was told to head over back to the beginning near the door. (Mind you there was about 10+ staff working) Stood there and waited, still not being greeted.. to then finally be approached by a staff member who didn’t say one word, except stare, no asking if I was ready to order.. nothing until I finally asked if I could be served..finally was able to place an order, (which was wrong) when I realized I was given the wrong cupcake my fiancé went up to see if we could exchange for the correct one, when he was up there he was rudely spoken to by an older lady that she couldn’t help him and that he should wait for someone else. I was excited to give this place a try but the service and the attitude of the workers is absolutely terrible. I’m not sure if it was because I was the only person of color in there, nonetheless everyone should be treated equally. I would have asked for a manager but the staff just seemed to not be able to comprehend a single thing. 10+ teenagers in there not knowing much and the older staff just allowing it to happen not much structure in this is establishment. Poor management.

I went to the Muffin House in Medway on St. Patrick's Day to buy a cake. They did not have the size and flavor I was looking for and I was ready to leave when the owner, Sheldon, who was sitting at a table near me with some of his staff, overheard the conversation and turned to me and said, "we can make you a cake if you have about 10 minutes". To make a long story short, about 10 minutes later, the girl who makes the cakes brought me the most perfectly decorated cake (pictured). This has to be the best customer service I have ever received and on top of looking great, it was one of the most delicious cakes ever and got rave reviews from the family. Thank you so much!!!

11/1: just following up and sharing that the owner rectified this situation greatly and I am very appreciative! Will definitely be back and I appreciate the quick response from the owner! 10/ 29 Food is great but takes forever. Took an hour for just 2 breakfast sandwiches to be ready.

Disappointingly, all the baked goods taste the same. However, the staff does their best to keep up with their less-than-kind clientele. EDIT: the baked goods seem mostly to be made from the same mix regardless of what the item is. The filling, rather than the composition of what the baked good actually is, defines the item. The end result is essentially a Taco Bell version of baked goods where the starting material is the same irrespective of whether the item is a muffin or anything else: only the shape of the item and whatever they put into or on top of it changes.

Here’s my 2 cents on the muffin house. It’s a cool place - very New England. Good muffins and decent coffee. Super creative when it comes to bakery items like cakes and cupcakes. Love the new Barbie items! Definitely not the healthiest place but has healthier options like salads, breakfast sandwiches, and avocado toast. So if you’re looking for the more stereotypical quiet quaint coffee shop where you can grab some quality brewed coffee and hunker down to do some work - this is not your place. It’s very lively in here, which some people love and some people hate. It’s typically pretty loud, not in a bad way just lots of people having conversations over meals. The wait times over the years has become slower and slower. I credit the staff, they are always working hard and fast. They are never just sitting around. The kids work hard to make the sandwiches and coffees but I think the wait times are largely due to online orders. I don’t think they’ve totally figured out how to manage online orders while handling in person orders especially during rush times. The way they have things set up is a bit disorienting. The “cashiers” seem like they are always running back and forth and are never in one place. They have you pick up your food smack in the middle of the line (despite waiting long after you’ve ordered and paid and moved out of line) so it’s definitely not an off to the side and easy to grab place. Love the outdoor seating and plentiful parking. I think with a few minor fixes this place could be even better than it already is! Ps just because you have multiple locations doesn’t mean there’s no room for improvement!

I've given this place a couple chances because I like supporting local over the chains... But their customer service is atrocious. Once I waited in line... Never was asked if I had ordered or what I was waiting on. I had to approach and get someone's attention--which is pretty difficult, despite the number of people working at one time. Then, I tried the quit order kiosk... Once again, crickets. I waited a while, watched orders go out, and finally decided I better check on my order. The ticket was sitting on the printer still... Ummm. What's the point of ordering ahead if none checks the orders coming in??? Like I said, I want to support local and for that reason, I'll probably go back. I guess I just have to be a really aggressive customer to get my order filled...

Absolutely FABULOUS people working here. Thank you for being kind and thoughtful Michelle. You are all appreciated by me and Jen. You are what makes this world a better place. Stay safe Comrades, and don't accept anything less than exactly what you know that you deserve. Workers Solidarity
